  • We had a very pleasant stay in Sky Over Rome. Even though Federico wasn't in Rome during our stay, he made sure that everything was perfectly in order.

Best of all: the location. Right in the heart of the charming neighbourhood Trastevere with restaurants, café's and terraces scattered across the tiny little Italian streets.

I would highly recommend this appartment.

    Grazie ancora di tutto!

  • Nice, clean, cozy apartment in one of the most characteristic neighborhood of Rome, full of typical "Trattoria" and bars and only 10 min from the more touristic areas.I didn't meet the host personally, but he has been really kind.I strongly recommend this accommodation.

  • A very nice, comfortable and clean apartment in a great neighbourhood in Rome. There are many bars and restaurants closeby. Fred is a very good host, everything was arranged well, and the beds were comfortable. Also Fred helped us with recommendations and reservations for restaurants during our stay. In sum it was a great place to stay with my 2 friends!

  • Fred's apartment was perfect for what my wife and I wanted - great neighborhood and incredibly comfortable. It's perfect for two or three people, with everything you need. The interior design is great and the view from the window was lovely. We stayed here for Christmas and were amazed that every cafe and shop in the neighborhood seemed to be open, and the street life around the apartment was phenomenal (while inside the apartment it was quiet and dark for sleeping!). The neighborhood itself felt a bit hipsterish in a very good way, just far enough from the tourist area that you felt like you were living in a normal neighborhood, but a destination in itself due to the amazing food and wonderful sites in Trastevere. A quick and easy walk to both the historic sites, the river, and the Vatican, it was perfect for my first trip to Rome and my wife's second. The fourth floor walk up as mentioned by others is true, and the roof was closed while we were there, but those are really minor inconveniences when compared with what you get. The bed was also probably one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. As a host, we didn't meet Fred but he was extremely easy to reach over email and phone and we didn't have any problem at all getting the keys for the place or arriving. The welcome packet he sends out is a nice touch, as was the holiday decoration he put up for us. The hot water also worked very well. Best pizza we had in Rome was directly across the street from the apartment building too. All in all we had a five star experience, I would definitely stay here again and we both highly recommend it to anyone looking. If you like modern, funky apartments in places like Williamsburg (NYC), Silverlake (LA), Hayes Valley (SF) then you'll like this one in Trastavere too.

  • It has been a wonderful stay in Fred's apartment which is really the sky over Rome. The apartment is equipped very well and is located in a very nice neighborhood. The highlights of Rome are visited very easily since the apartment is located very strategically. A place to recommend.

  • Fred was a very helpful host. He provided useful information about getting to the apartment from the airport, checked in with us during our stay, and followed up with transportation information to help us return to the airport at the end of our trip. The apartment was everything I hoped for. Very conveniently located in a bustling neighbourhood within walking distance of both sights and necessities (such as food, banks, post office), quiet and safe, charming decor blending traditional and contemporary elements, perfectly clean and fresh, beautiful views, excellent amenities including first-rate air conditioning, clothes washing machine, and wifi. This space included everything we needed and more in an especially lovely setting, and earned my highest recommendation.

  • We stayed at Fred’s for 4 nights and it was the perfect experience. We didn’t get the opportunity to meet Fred as he was traveling while we were there, but email communication was so easy. He even took the time to answer my emails about various questions we had about transportation to and from the apartment while we were there. The apartment is in a great location with lots of restaurants and activity around it, but it is nice and quiet once you get in. The views are great, and it lets in lots of natural light. The bed was super comfortable. Overall we could not have asked for a better experience in Rome and would recommend Fred and the beautiful apartment in a heartbeat – you won’t be disappointed!

  • Fédérico's appartment was perfect for our 1 week stay in Rome. Good location, clean, sunny and cool, nice view and CALM... which must be rare in busy Trastevere. Fédérico was travelling during our stay so we didnt get the opportunity to meet him, but all was set for us: keys waiting at the tobacconist's downstairs (open late...) and nice letter with usefull informations on the dining room table.

We felt free and at home!

We recommend this appartment without any hesitation
