Interaction with Guests
I'm there to welcome my guests unless I'm on tour in which case my mom is there to welcome you.
First of all it's a very lively neighbourhood. Many young people, students, cafés, shops, restaurants. There's a great atmosphere. It's kind of like a village. It's a secure neighbourhood, rather central and the buses and metros will take you all over Paris.
There are many buses and 2 metro stations (2 different lines) very close to the flat. There is also a direct line from Charles de Gaulle airport by RER.
Other Things to Note
There are many schools, many universities in the arera. It's very lively. Therefore many young people not always very silent during the day. The street can be a bit noisy as there are cars going by and the balconies are facing the street. At night, the street is usually quiet but it may happen that you hear people talking loud or even singing while coming back from the Montparnasse boulevard where the bars & cafés are located. That can happen on weekends. So basically if you are very sensitive to noise, this might not be the best flat for you.
- Be polite to the neighbours.
- No partying in the flat.
- No extra guests for the night.
We loved our 8 days, based at Loik's aptmt. It was so handy to different metro lines, so made for easy exploring of this great city. Having the Luxembourg Gardens so close was a bonus. There are heaps of cafes and restos nearby [as well as an excellent patisserie across the road], so plenty of choice food and drink-wise -- as well as two local small supermarkets.
We marvelled at the wonderful, natural light in the aptmt, and how it was always a comfortable temperature, regardless of the weather outside.
Loik juggled his time to ensure we settled in and knew how everything was located and worked. We appreciated having an iron and board as well as the use of the Nespresso machine which was hard to resist !
Street noises at night were minimal, so we were delighted to get our share of guaranteed 'shut-eye'.
Our trip to Paris during Christmas was great! Paris of course is a wonderful travel destination and our stay at Lo’s apartment made it even better! The apartment is just like it shows in the pictures: full of light, colors and positive energy. It was very clean and tidy, warm ( with hot water available all day long) and roomy and there was everything we needed (towels, sheets, iron, hairdryer… Lo even had a beautiful Christmas tree decorated for the holidays). The building was quiet and it felt very safe, just like the whole neighborhood. There were two metro stations nearby (five minutes’ walk) and the area was very close to the most popular sights (ten minutes taking the metro). There were bakeries, mini markets, cafeterias and Italian restaurants just around the corner. Lo was great, he waited for us at the apartment to give us the keys and to provide us with all the information we needed. He is very kind and helpful; he really made us feel like home! Thanks again Lo!

2e séjour complètement réussi chez Loïk. Il est vraiment sympathique ce mec et il a été très accommodant. Son appartement est idéalement situé, vaste et lumineux, c'est vraiment une perle. J'espère y retourner encore l'an prochain!
Lo was very helpful, especially in greeting us and being available during our stay. The neighborhood is amazing - not very touristy or crowded and with lots of great markets, restaurants, cafes, and the Jardin nearby. The apartment has everything you need and is comfortable, but not very luxurious or spacious.
The apartment looks just like the photo. It was very clean and tidy and located in a small safe building near the Jardin de Luxembourg. It's also a stone's throw from the famous Le Dôme and La Rotonde restaurants.
Loik greeted me on arrival and showed me around the apartment. Nice touches - some ready to go espresso capsules for the coffee machine and a bathrobe!
