Vacation renters may feel as though they've stepped back in time. Each room is designed to invoke feelings of nostalgia and a gone-by era. This home is located in the heart of Panguitch: a 2-minute walk to all of the shops on main street.

The space
The name "Vintage Lilacs" comes from the 15 - 20 aged lilac trees located on and around the property. (Grandma loved her lilac bushes!) During the springtime, the bluish-purple lilac blossoms burst with color and fragrance. And although Panguitch is famous for its many pioneer-built, red-brick homes, this particular home was built with bricks that have a dark "purple-y" hue to them, perhaps the only one of its kind. So now you know why we named it what we did.

For groups/families between 5 and 8 individuals, there is an additional $11 charge per person per night to cover the additional laundry/cleaning costs. (Really, it doubles the cleaning crew's workload!) Additionally, the futon is usually not prepped for sleep use unless a guest requests it. If your group will require its use, please let us know prior to arrival.

The wood-burning fireplace IS available for guest use! However, at this time we do not stockpile or provide firewood or kindling for our guests. Firewood can be picked up at various locations in town.

This is a 3-bedroom home with 3 queen-size beds. In one of the bedrooms, there is a futon which, when opened up flat, is similar to a full-size mattress, best suited for 1 teenager or 2 small children.

Two small steps are required to enter the home (we are working on getting a ramp built for one of the entrances.

Please note that the home does NOT have air-conditioning. However, given the home’s elevation (6600 feet above sea level), it's rarely needed. Even during the summer months, the temperature remains mild during the day (mid 80s) and cool at night (mid 50s). A couple of electric fans are located in the house if needed.

Guests are free to use the propane barbecue grill located just outside the kitchen door.

The home recently received a much needed, larger 50-gallon water heater. Simply be aware that because the water pressure is pretty strong in this home, the hot water supply will still probably run out quicker than you are accustomed to.

Other amenities:
*Cable TV
*Chromecast device
*47" TV
*Washer/dryer (2-in-1 unit)
*Microwave
*Crockpot
*Hand mixer
*Popcorn popper
*Handheld shower
*Full-size tub
*Ninja brand blender
*Water heater: 50 gal.

Hotplates are not allowed.

We have noticed that Airbnb's website always pulls the lowest rate when searching for a rental property. If you make a booking and your nightly rate is higher, it is most likely because the date(s) you selected did not reflect the lowest price located somewhere else within the host's booking calendar. And while rates are subject to change without notice, we do strive for competitive pricing.

Guest access
The key box code is generally sent 1 or 2 days prior to your check-in.

Parking is permitted on the grass (yes, on the grass) near the kitchen door (west side of house) or in front of the home along the street.

Guests provide their own meals.

No pets.

No smoking.

Other things to note
This is ABSOLUTELY a non-smoking facility. Smoking will not be permitted in or around the premises. Failure to observe this requirement will result in an immediate charge of $200 under the Security Deposit clause of Airbnb's rental agreement. (We will be required to wash walls and steam clean furniture to remove the odor.)

One of the closets in the main bedroom contains the owner's personal items (clothing, books, pictures) and remains locked during a guest's visit. The basement also contains cleaning supplies and other tools and is not accessible to guests.

We have recently committed ourselves to Airbnb's higher cleaning standards as brought about by covid-19. The transition was pretty seamless since we were already practicing many of their recommended cleaning practices.
