With a beatiful view of dowtown (on the 6th floor), this downtown condo is blocks away from the river, library, museum, Times Union Center, Florida Theatre, Prime Osborne Convention Center, great restaurants, night life and the Jacksonville Landing. A few minutes from San Marco, Riverside / Avondale and only 20 minutes from the Jacksonville beach.

I live in DC and this condo is my home away from home a few weeks out of the year. The condo has a small but nice kitchen and a dinning room that can acomodate up to eight guests. The bedroom has a brand new queen size bed and two chests. The dinning room furniture are also brand new and very comfortable. Parking is on the street. There's a parking lot across the street, but a fee might be associated with it (need to check with condo). There's also a gym and laundry room located on 1st floor of the building.

***Cable and wifi included***

Please feel free to ask me questions or to make me an offer!

  • Sofia's place met all of my needs this summer. With my 10 week internship downtown and no car, this was the perfect place for me. It is central to everything downtown and is very spacious. Downtown isn't the most lively place outside of normal working hours but the area is safe enough to walk around during the day. Everything you need is in the condo from kitchenware to toiletrees; so all you really need to bring is your clothes and any personal belongings you may need for your stay! Sofia's friend Mia was a pleasure to be around and very helpful when it came to getting settled and finding things to do around Jacksonville.

Overall, I had a great experience and if I find myself in Jacksonville again, I will definitely be reaching out to Sofia again.

  • Spent 3 weeks for a medical school rotation at Shands at Sofia's place. Very nice, cozy and cost effective place. Sofia was very accommodating (towels galore, assorted toiletries provided like bar soaps, shampoo, conditioner, etc.,) and the move-in was seamless and very easy. Had a great stay but just a few things to mention.

    1. parking was kind of tricky. No parking lot available nearby, metered parking was available that would start at 8am and stop at 6 pm, so wasn't really an issue for me, since I was working during the day (max 2 hr parking. free parking on weekends. down a side street was long term parking for up to 10 hours.)

All in all very good stay for what I needed it for.

  • I was in town for 2 months for school/clinical rotations at the JAX Baptist Hospital and Sofia's apt worked out really great for me! It was 5 mins to the hospital in the morning and quiet and comfortable. Very fast internet service too! Thanks! The soul food place in the lobby has some great curry and jerk chicken as a bonus. Also a block and a half away is a solid BBQ joint.

Downtown JAX wasn't what I expected (you might read about this online), but the location was very convenient to the Riverside area, and very central and easy to home-base from. Burrito Gallery is good and close by, and a nice dive bar Burro is close too. JAX highlights for me included: Intuition Brewery, Chan's Chinese, The Rogue, Healthy Bagel, Bold City Brewery, 5 Points Movie Theater, San Marco Theater, The Treaty Oak and Tidbits sandwich place. There are some great authentic Mexican places too like El Potro and Pepe's Hacienda, you can find them via Yelp.

Sofia was a great host and we communicated through airbnb or the phone only. She was extremely quick to reply and helpful. There was a minor internet glitch once while I was there and she called and it was resolved within 15 minutes!

This was my first airbnb stay and it was a solid, convenient, and positive overall experience.

  • I had a great stay at this apartment. It is close to everything in downtown and has great views of the city. Parking was not difficult and there is a gym downstairs. The host were just fantastic and very accommodating. Best of all, the is a soul food restaurant on the first floor that is amazing. I had home cooked meals whenever I wanted! Thank you guys for a great stay!

  • My brothers home was overcrowded over the Christmas weekend and I needed to find a place to sleep. I was very fortunate to find Sophia's listing on BNB. Sophia's very large, clean, and quiet condo was just what I needed. The bed in her spacious bedroom was quite comfortable.
I did not have the opportunity to meet Sophia but did meet her friend Marie who managed things for Sophia while she was out of town.

The condo was not completely furnished , lacking a TV, WiFi, and a few other amenities. Because of this the rental fee was reduced by 30% and that was fine with me because I only needed a place to sleep.

The building itself is not located in the most attractive neighborhood in Jacksonville but it is centrally located and not far from the freeway. If your business is in the downtown area then you will appreciate the location.

Parking is arranged by you with one of two open-air lots near the building. You can get the phone numbers from the condo office which opens at 9AM. One of the lots cost two dollars per day and the other lot told me that I could park there a few days for free...imagine that. Metered street parking from 8 AM to 6PM costs 50 cents per hour.
The building has a lobby attendant at night.
    Thanks for everything, Sophia

Hi! A few things about me: I am friendly but enjoy keeping my distance and my privacy. I love to go out dining to locally owned restaurants, going to museums and cultural activities. Some things I couldn't live without: my cat, books, wine, q-tips, iPhone... Oh, and my good friends. Currently I do not live in Jacksonville but travel there often, I miss the charm of the city and the advantage of having miles of beach. I hope you enjoy your stay, I'm only a text or e-mail away. If immediate assistance is needed one of my downtown friends can help. Make sure you experience some of the locally owned restaurants, they offer great food and cozy environment. Some of my favorites are Taverna, Chew, Burrito Gallery and UpTown.
