It was a pleasure to meet Jo and make her acquaintance. She was accommodating when we told her we would reach a bit later than we had anticipated. She welcomed us in and gave us a quick fun tour of the house, its history and architecture. The neighborhood was quiet and scenic. The bedroom we stayed in was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The bed was a tad smaller than the usual Queen size we are used to but it wasn't much of a problem. The high ceiling, large windows, intricate wall paintings and armchair by the fireplace gave the room its pleasant old fashioned feel. The bathroom was clean and well equipped with necessary toiletries.

We ended up staying in the other room Jo has listed because both were empty, and it had a larger bed. The room was very comfortable, as was the adjoining bathroom. Jo was accommodating when we changed our arrival time at the last minute. St. Ronin is one of the nicest streets in East Rock with lots of historic houses, and is walking distance from downtown New Haven. Definitely a good stay, and I would recommend to others.

My husband and I have lived in New Haven for over 25 years. We stay here because we think it is a great little city, and we enjoy the local theater, art and community.

We travel abroad regularly, and enjoy having visitors to our home.
