Very private, cozy and quiet cottage in the trees yet only about a mile from the heart of town and its shops, restaurants, museum and free summer concerts.

Easy hop to Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking and biking, wineries, Boone. About a mile to downtown.

Watch wildlife from the private rear deck or walk the 2.6 acres of grounds, part landscaped and part natural. Adjacent to greenspace/parkland.

The space
Front covered porch and a back deck allow interaction with the outdoors. Deer can be seen just outside the property fence on the adjacent greenspace and many different birds live on the property: hawks can be seen and owls heard. The cottage is cozy, perfect for two. There is a living area, bedroom, bathroom with shower and a table for two in the kitchen area. The laundry room is downstairs in the basement, accessible from outside steps or stairs. No stairs needed to access the living space.

A very quiet residential neighborhood borders the property on one side with a creek and farm road recently acquired for the public greenway and park adjoining the rest. In fact, the cottage is closer to the park land than to the main house. The cottage is not visible from the street and barely visible from the main residence. The main house and cottage are within 2.6 gated acres. Despite the privacy, we are quite close to shopping and restaurants in downtown Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro.
