Fran was very welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. We stayed with her for 2 1/2 weeks. Since she normally only rents her home for five days, we agreed she could stay in the house the other days with us. She actually was on trips for one week of our stay. It worked out great as the master bedroom suite is in the back of the house where we stayed and she used another bedroom and bathroom that was in the front of the house.
The home was very clean. It is also bright and cheery. There are skylights in places that are far from windows such as the staircase and bathrooms so that every room is well lit. Her home is located in a neighborhood that has walking trails and parks. It's close to shopping and I-5. We did a lot of cooking and found her kitchen to have the necessities. She also left us fresh fruit, milk, eggs, and other breakfast foods to get us started. She was happy to share her spices and other supplies with us. She was very friendly and helpful. It was our pleasure to stay with her and we would recommend her home.
We had a wonderful stay at Fran's house and would wholeheartedly recommend the place! We rented the entire house and the pictures listed do not do it justice; the place is extremely clean, spacious, full of light, quiet and has everything you could need (along with beautiful artwork to admire). Both beds are very comfortable and Fran left us local fresh berries and biscuits for breakfast! Plus coffee, eggs and waffles, along with ample towels and extra pillows and bedding. The back patio is beautiful and relaxing, we enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfast out there. Fran made us feel very welcome and at home, and was always ready to help with suggestions of things to do and places to eat. It is approx. 15 minutes on the freeway to downtown Portland. Lake Oswego has a charming downtown with a famers market and a wonderful French bakery called St. Honoré Boulangerie, do not miss this place, the food is delicious and it is right on the lake. If you would like to be close to Portland in a relaxing, spacious clean house, this is the place for you! Thank you for everything Fran!
Fran was very kind to open our home to us. Everything was clean and comfortable, which made us feel very welcome. The neighborhood is very quiet for a relaxing, well removed from the busyness closer to the city. Nothing but good things to say!
Our stay with Fran was lovely. She is very accommodating and welcoming. We were given the best bedroom in the house with a private bathroom. The bed sheets were wonderfully crisp and clean and the bed very comfortable. She even left for several days so we could have the house all to ourselves. Upon her return she gave us as much privacy as possible. She made herself available for any questions and guidance about Portland and its real estate market. She truly wanted us to have an enjoyable experience. The location was quiet and with easy access to Portland.
Fran's place was a great spot for my husband and six year old daughter to call home for a weekend visit to Lake Oswego and Portland. The air conditioning was appreciated during 90 degree July weather and the house was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Fran was great to communicate with, and she even left us breakfast food. Her artwork was really inspiring, especially to our daughter, who wants to be an artist. There was wifi, which made my husband happy, no cable, which we don't have at home either so did not miss it at all, however, Lucy did love watching Netflix selections on Fran's Apple TV.
We enjoyed going to the Saturday Farmer's Market in Lake Oswego and a fabulous French bakery in Lake Oswego, as per Fran's suggestion. Fran is a wonderful host and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in her house, we highly recommend it.
The reservation was canceled 13 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lovely spacious house in quiet neighbourhood. Beautifully decorated with Fran's pictures. Air conditioned and parking in drive. Easy drive to downtown Portland and parking all day readily available. No TV - not an issue for us. We were made very welcome and Fran could not have been kinder. Well equipped kitchen, fruit and breakfast basics left for us.
