5 minute walk to the subway (Ashmont station) and a 20 minute ride downtown.
Apartment is renovated: hardwood floors, bathroom, big kitchen. Living room has 50" TV with free Netflix & Hulu+
Ample street parking and some great restaurants nearby.
A quiet house on a residential street just 6 minutes walk from the subway. The house was completely renovated last year and has a new bathroom, refinished hardwood floors, freshly painted walls, and modern stainless steel appliances.
Large back yard and full length porch in the back is great for relaxing and squirrel watching.
Bathroom is shared with a second AirBnB bedroom.
You have full access to the living room and kitchen, including fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. You are free to use the back porch and yard as well as the basement storage room if you need to.
Internet is fast and reliable, available over WiFi or Ethernet throughout the house, including your bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
I live in one of the bedrooms. I either work from home or the road. I like to travel and always enjoy meeting fellow travelers. If I'm home I am happy to talk, give you advice or help you with your itinerary.
There are 2 bedrooms listed here so you may also interact with another guest if the other room is booked.
I can pick you up and drop you off the airport, train or bus station for $30 each way if I'm available. A cab ride from the airport costs about $45. Please let me know a few days before arrival if you would like personal pick up.
Ashmont T station on the Red Line is a 5 minute walk from the house.
If you're driving, we're close to I-93.
Ample street parking.
Coming from Logan Airport:
Public transit from the airport to Ashmont station is free. Take the Silver Line bus to South Station.
At South Station, take the Ashmont train
Exit at the end of the line (Ashmont), which is 6 stops.
As you exit the station, look for Dunkin Donuts across the street. Walk up the street beside it (Bailey Street). The house will be on your left near the top of the hill.
If you need a taxi at any time, I can arrange one for you with a very reliable driver I have been working with for years. He is a licensed taxi driver and uses a city meter at the regular city rate. If you've ever tried to call a taxi in Boston, you'll know they are notoriously unreliable.
Other Things to Note
I can get you tickets to any event directly, even for sold out shows. Ask me if you need any. My friend owns a ticket business.
I support the environment. Here are some ways in which you will too by staying here:
- Recycled toilet paper
- No antibacterial soaps
- No toxic cleaners
- Bedding and towels are air dried
Please take your shoes off before entering the apartment.
I don't charge for cleaning or extra people. Kindly return the favor by keeping the place clean. :)
No smoking or dogs please.
I stayed with my girlfriend for two nights in Steven's apartment. We slept well and really loved his home. It's well furnished - we didn't cook but it would have been very easy to if we wished. He provides plenty of goodies for his guests (we took advantage of some airbnb beers on the first night). We had plenty of privacy while we were there. I would absolutely recommend staying with Steven - I know I will if I'm in Boston in the future. He's a great host and I enjoyed getting to know him.
Stephen did a wonderful job making me and my husband feel welcome. His schedule was flexible, the room was prepared and he was very generous with his space. He also was a great resource to learn more about Boston. We'd recommend him without reservation. A great value and chance to learn more about a residential part of Boston.
We stayed in this place for a month, Steven is a great host, willing to answer your questions, he helped us to get packages, and find a trustful taxi, which we really appreciate and used for 3 weeks. If you don't drive and have to take red line before 5:15am, taxi will be your best choice.
The pictures and descriptions are the same as it is on the website, it is not far away from the T stop, but the down hill and uphill makes you feel a little bit tired.
We very enjoy the kitchen and lovely balcony. Everything makes you feel like stay at home.
This is my first Airbnb experience, which was great.
Thank you so much Steven!
Steven was super nice and helpful. His apartment is extremely clean and exactly like the pictures. The location was perfect and is a very short walk to the subway. I highly recommend Steven's place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Boston.
Thank you again Steven for all of your help!
Great spot to stay. Steven wasn't home when I got to the apartment but he responded really quickly to all my question. Communication was superb and I enjoyed staying at Steven's house. There was enough privacy in the room, and the shared bathroom was close so we got to have privacy. Bathroom was nice, and the room was good for two.
Steven was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay in Boston! He was very welcoming and helpful with advice on transportation and things to do while in the city. Our room was private and clean, with fresh towels and full access to his kitchen. We would definitely recommend Steven's place to others and we had a great experience. Thanks Steven!

Hungry to explore the world, meet people, make friends. I've been to 18 countries and lately started going solo, which I've come to enjoy.
As a guest, I'm quiet, clean and respectful of any space I'm in. I don't smoke, I like to cook if I have time and I don't watch TV. What I do need are a space that is clean and reasonably quiet, close to public transportation and with reliable Wi-Fi.
