Awesome hosts, very accomodating and pleasant. Great place for dog lovers. Beautiful serene setting in Olympia. Delicious breakfasts.
Communicating with Rita was very easy so that even on a short notice everything worked out perfectly. The room was very nice and exactly as described on airbnb. We really enjoyed our short stay. The dogs were adorable, we loved how they were waiting in front of the room because they knew they were not supposed to go in.
Host was welcoming...as was all the dogs. We like dogs, so ok....if you're not a dog fan you may want to reconsider.
Diane, I think you meant to share this with everyone. Thank you for the lovely words and for loving our furry hosts!
What Diane loved about your listing:
“Absolute best part about our visit (and probably our entire vacation) was the pottery class my daughter did with on site. One of the owners is a professional potter and educator and her studio is connected to their home We both did a 2-hour class for $50 and it was a lovely introduction to pottery. After we left, she fired and glazed our first pots for us and sent to our home. Can't beat that!”
Rita greeted us and described the details of the place and introduced us to the dogs there. It is a nice place along an arm of the sound. Good views of the tidal flats and various birds. Very friendly and considerate hosts.
Communication was great with Rita and check in was a breeze. Her home was lovely and a relaxing place for a quiet night after returning from our trip around Olympic National Park. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our mini pottery lesson : )
Loved this gorgeous home tucked down a quiet track beside an arm of The Sound. A lovely arty comfortable house. The bedroom had a super comfortable bed and an attached bathroom. Their dogs were friendly. We also had a tv in the room - which is luxury for us! Rita and family are super great and they even cooked us breakfast! Thanks Rita!
Rita made us feel so welcome in her home! My husband and I truly enjoyed staying with her, she was a great host. She gave us a tour right away, and made sure we made ourselves at-home. Our room and bathroom were very clean, and were located upstairs so the privacy was nice (not to mention beautifully decorated!). Her home is on a river, so the view is really beautiful and peaceful. Rita is also very easy-going, and nice to chat with as a person, I would return in a heartbeat!
About the Host, Rita
We try to stay via Airbnb whenever we travel. Maureen and I are crafters and work from home. I am a canine herbalist and Maureen is a potter. We love meeting new people and just enjoying life. We have a peaceful home and look forward to sharing it.
Maureen and I travel to Ireland whenever we can, are avid readers, love Tolkien, adore the birds here on the property and love living on the ocean. Olympia is a perfect city as far as we are concerned and we will probably live here the rest of our lives. I love to cook and bake and making things in general is where we find peace.
My favorite place in the house is the corner desk in front of the double patio doors. Maureen's is her pottery studio.
We have three dogs - two sweet pugs and a mix. Bones is our 3-legged cat and he is magnificent.
