Our stay with Rita and Maureen was welcoming, comfy, and a perfect jumping off point to Olympic National Park! They have such a sweet home, filled with great art, yummy breakfast, and lots of helpful tips for the surrounding area. Did i mention the bed? One of the best night sleeps we've had in a while! We would gladly stay again!
Ritas place is great. Right off the freeway, close to town but on the bay, nice room and bath. Very cool art in the house, and Granny and the pups are cute ;) Breakfast was perfect!
Staying at Rita's was an overall great experience and a credit to Airbnb. She was responsive in communication and very welcoming. The home was exactly as described and the room / bath were very comfortable. Location is beautiful with a rear garden that fronts the water and looks better than what's pictured online. Rita served us breakfast with an "anything you want" menu. Hated to leave - would 100% recommend this room when travelling near Olympia.
This stay was amazing and the home was as described. The room was clean and the house was quiet. The view was absolutely amazing. Having breakfast out there in the morning was very serene. What a wonderful way to wake up!
Rita was very friendly and we felt right at home. We would definitely stay here again.
My experience at Rita and Maureen's was beyond exceptional. From the thread count sheets to the organic break fast I felt right at home! These ladies are hands on hospitality but most importantly genuine. My favorite part was that it was easy to access but super secluded. They accommodate one night stays and long travel extravaganzas! This place was beyond perfect!
Can't wait to go back!!
Being an animal lover I was drawn to the opportunity to enjoy their dogs and cat, which I did. The room was tastefully decorated, bed was very comfy and bathroom clean. I have wheat allergy and was thrilled to learn my hosts eat gluten free so that made breakfast not the challenge found other places. I particularly enjoyed my interactions with Rita and Maureen who were excellent hosts. This was my first time trying AirBNB and everything went super smooth. I would absolutely recommend others to them and hope to stay with them again in the future.
Rita's home was lovely! My parents really enjoyed relaxing in her beautiful, unique space. The breakfast was delicious, and the bed extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this listing!
About the Host, Rita
We try to stay via Airbnb whenever we travel. Maureen and I are crafters and work from home. I am a canine herbalist and Maureen is a potter. We love meeting new people and just enjoying life. We have a peaceful home and look forward to sharing it.
Maureen and I travel to Ireland whenever we can, are avid readers, love Tolkien, adore the birds here on the property and love living on the ocean. Olympia is a perfect city as far as we are concerned and we will probably live here the rest of our lives. I love to cook and bake and making things in general is where we find peace.
My favorite place in the house is the corner desk in front of the double patio doors. Maureen's is her pottery studio.
We have three dogs - two sweet pugs and a mix. Bones is our 3-legged cat and he is magnificent.
