Private room, private bathroom, use of kitchen, bbq grill, fire pit, large enclosed patio, washer and dryer, bicycles and helmets. Close to downtown Napa and vineyards.
The room is cozy but not too small. It has a full size bed with brand new linens reserved only for our guests.
You will also enjoy the private bathroom where the lavatory is separate from the shower and toilet enabling one person to shower while the other can still get ready in front of the large mirror. It also has fresh new linens just for our guests.
1 or 2 more guests may sleep on the sofa bed in the living room if you don't mind the possibility of a kitten sleeping with you. They would share the guests bathroom.
You are welcome to use the kitchen, we have a shelf in the refrigerator cleared just for your groceries. You have full access to all the cookware in the kitchen, including the coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave and toaster oven.
Interaction with Guests
We enjoy interacting with our guests but also respect your need for privacy. It is up to you, get to know us, allow us to get to know you, or just say Hi in passing.
Our home is located off the main street so it's safe and secluded. In the unfortunate event you must visit for a funeral, we are walking distance from the beautiful and historic Tulocay Cemetary. We are walking distance from Silverado Middle School which has an amazing new track if you want to get in some sprints!
We are located close, (and by close I mean biking distance or a 20 min walk, to the Oxbow Market, the Wine Train, and downtown Napa. Drive or bike to Skyline Wilderness Park which has great hiking and mountain biking trails, or the Napa River for kayaking.
We have plenty of free parking on the premises. A bus stop is located just a few houses down the street and we are about a 15 min walk from the Napa Transit Center. We offer bicycles and helmets as well as the same map the bicycle rental shops have if you would like to bike to some local wineries. The map shows several different loops you can take along the valley for some amazing wine tasting and sight seeing.
Other Things to Note
This bedroom is lived in half time by my 14 year old daughter, hence the crazy calendar of availability. She gets a portion of the fee and loves that other people are enjoying her room! She loves to hear stories about the guests who stay and her portion of the fee is earned by helping to keep her room clean and tidy and ready for the next guest. It is a win-win for all involved! Our children will not be here during your stay.
Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 12pm. This allows us enough time to get everything ready for our next guest. I am a Mom and taxiing my kiddos around is part of my busy schedule. Please let me know the day before your arrival what your ETA will be so I can arrange for someone to show you around/let you in the house when you arrive. No smoking and no pets please. If you are allergic to cats be aware we have 3 cats but they are not allowed in this room. They are outside during the day and come in at night.
Please feel free to have friends come over and enjoy the outdoor space with you. Please give us notice (text or call) if you would like to enjoy the inside space with anyone who the reservation does not include. (We were young once too)
It was a pleasure staying with Tammy & Lloyd for a week! The bedroom was very comfortable and had plenty of room for my clothes and accessories. I loved having a ceiling heater in the shower/bathroom! Tammy always had coffee and muffins ready in the morning, and both of them were very helpful in getting around whether I was going to SFO or the vineyards. Overall, I just felt very much at home.
Tammy and Lloyd are the perfect hosts. They welcomed my wife and I in their home during the thanksgiving weekend. We had fun visiting the Napa region by Vine bus, which was easy because of the proximity of the station from their home. It was a joy to talk with Lloyd and Tammy before and after our day of visiting vineyards. Having a cup of tea while playing with their friendly pets was also a nice perk while staying there. I would recommend staying here while visiting the Napa valley.
Tammy and Lloyd have a lovely family house and it just wonderful of everything exactly what I needed. It's vey cozy, quiet and clean. It's about 5 minutes drive by car to downtown Napa as well as to 2014 Napa Film Festival. Also it's easy to explore many Napa winery near by within 20 minutes drive. They offered their bikes for go around the area or downtown Napa. They have a very cute dogs and cats, I feel very warm by Tammy and Lloyd's hosting my arrival with their lovely pets. Tammy and Lloyd were also very kind and friendly with a great recommendation during my short stay. They also had a homemade scone and coffee/tea for breakfast, I enjoyed very much like being at home. Definitely helpful and highly recommended!! Cheers! Claire
Wow. Best AnB experience so far. Amazing place to stay! My girlfriend and I really felt like home. Tammy received like family: shows us the house, gave us maps, towels (the bathroom is very Good and clean), borrow us bikes.. The bedroom is really confortable and also the house is close from downtown Napa. Again: very good AnB experience. :-)
Lloyd is very humor and friendly. He gave us many advices about NAPA winery, NAPA downtown, San Francisco ...etc. He also made some scones and shared his red wine to us, we are very appreciated. The pets(Joker Maggie Sneak Olive Oreo Titan), we were so enjoyed in playing with them and very missing them now. Even Tammy is very busy, she still took time to talk with us, she also is a very nice host. We are so glad to stay in their house two nights. It's a wonderful experience.
Very kind hosts. Place was clean and not far from downtown. There were bikes for us to rent for free.

Lloyd is a Superintendent, Division of Equipment, CalTrans (aka McGuyver), and I am an ER nurse here in Napa. We love to meet new people and hear their stories.
We want our kids to see how other people live and interact so they will get a bigger picture of the world and all it has to offer.
