This stylish 1-bedroom loft has it all: 30 minutes door-to-door from SFO or OAK airports; steps from BART, MUNI, hundreds of great restaurants and a twice-weekly farmers market; gym and laundry in building; roof deck; updated kitchen; baby ready.
Immaculately designed, this modern loft in a historic brick building boasts an unbeatable downtown location, just steps from Union Square shopping, public transportation and the city's best restaurants.
This private, one-bedroom apartment is in a 106-year-old brick building decked out in modern-yet-warm furnishings.
Take advantage of the twice-weekly farmers market downstairs (Wednesdays and Sundays) with the gourmet kitchen and large dining table, or enjoy your coffee on the roof deck and work it off in the gym located in the basement.
Concrete walls and brand-new windows make for a silent stay. Our apartment has been featured on Apartment Therapy, San Francisco Chronicle and Daily Candy if you would like to read a bit more. Just search for "Erin and Danny" on the respective websites. (For some reason AirBnB will not let me post the actual link or website, sorry)
We also have an infant daughter, so if you are traveling with a baby yourself, we can provide crib, high chair, changing station, toys and more. If you don't, we will pack it all away (with the exception of the crib in the bedroom).
***A word to those who have never been to or are unfamiliar with San Francisco: There are a lot of homeless people in this city, many of which are unstable. I know, I know, it can be disgusting, unpleasant and sometimes unbearable. With that said, more often than not, the homeless population mostly keep to themselves but may occasionally ask for change. Just act like you live here, DO NOT GIVE ANYONE MONEY, be aware of your surroundings and enjoy the many beautiful and amazing facets of this wonderful city.
Entire unit, roof access, gym access, laundry.
We will not be present during your stay but will have our close friend hand off the keys and show you around the building.
Our neighborhood is steps from picturesque City Hall, the Main Library and the Asian Art Museum. Along with the beautiful architecture, our neighborhood hosts an impressive array of ethnic restaurants such as Vietnamese, Thai, Indian and Burmese.
UN Plaza hosts food trucks on Tuesdays during lunch hours and the Heart of The City Farmer's Market every Wednesday and Sunday with a truncated version on Fridays.
Hayes Valley, Union Square, SOMA and the Mission District are just a short and pleasant walk (or even quicker train ride) away.
If you want to get somewhere fast, we are located right above the Civic Center BART and Muni station. The 5 Fulton bus is located across the street along with the Golden Gate transit line if you want to head over the Golden Gate Bridge. We also have SF Bike Share for $9 a day located outside the BART and Muni station (highly recommended).
Our neighborhood is described by many as being "colorful" or "gritty." We are located literally in the heart of it all and with that comes the reality of metropolitan living. There are law students, tourists, working class families, federal workers, homeless and commuters bustling around this area at any given moment. If you have been to San Francisco before, this will make perfect sense to you. If you have never experienced downtown San Francisco before, this unfortunately may not be the listing for you.

Danny and Erin have a beautiful home (should be featured in a design publication for sure), which is centrally located and very convenient to public transportation. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Even when my flight was delayed, I was graciously accommodated for my arrival. This place rocked and I would definitely recommend this for your visit to San Francisco.
Danny and this awesome loft were both near perfect, would visit again in a heartbeat.
Danny and Erin have a really cool, unique apartment which is also very comfortable. They did a great job to make everything easy for us, including a booklet with instructions on how to use the lights, the heat, the stereo and TV, etc. We were even greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolate upon our arrival. They were gracious in every way.
While the location is great in some respects - close to lots of fantastic places to visit such as the Asian Art Museum, as well as to public transportation - it's not in the best part of town. If that is a concern for you, I would suggest that you ask them about that, for example the safety of walking around at night, or what streets may generally be best to avoid. On the other hand, if you're accustomed to a certain level of grittiness, it shouldn't be a problem!
Location: great. Comfortable: very. Unique: absolutely. Private: yes. I love going to the City and this apartment helped make my best visit to San Francisco yet.
