Immaculately designed, this modern loft in a historic brick building boasts an unbeatable downtown location, just steps from Union Square shopping, public transportation and the city's best restaurants. This private one-bedroom apartment is in a 107-year-old brick building above a French cafe, and decked out in modern-yet-warm furnishings. Take advantage of the twice-weekly farmers market downstairs with the gourmet kitchen and extra-long custom dining table, or enjoy your coffee on the roof deck. Work it off in the gym in the building. Concrete walls and brand-new windows make for a silent stay. Our apartment has been featured on Apartment Therapy many times as well if you would like to read a bit more. Just search for "Erin and Danny" on their website. (For some reason AirBnB will not let me post the actual link or website, sorry)
***A word to those who have never been to or are unfamiliar with San Francisco: There are a lot of homeless people in this city, many of which are unstable. I know, I know, it can be disgusting, unpleasant and sometimes unbearable. With that said, more often than not, the homeless population mostly keep to themselves but may occasionally ask for change. Just act like you live here, DO NOT GIVE ANYONE MONEY, be aware of your surroundings and enjoy the many beautiful and amazing facets of this wonderful city.

Danny and Erin have a beautiful home (should be featured in a design publication for sure), which is centrally located and very convenient to public transportation. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Even when my flight was delayed, I was graciously accommodated for my arrival. This place rocked and I would definitely recommend this for your visit to San Francisco.
Danny and this awesome loft were both near perfect, would visit again in a heartbeat.
Danny and Erin have a really cool, unique apartment which is also very comfortable. They did a great job to make everything easy for us, including a booklet with instructions on how to use the lights, the heat, the stereo and TV, etc. We were even greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolate upon our arrival. They were gracious in every way.
While the location is great in some respects - close to lots of fantastic places to visit such as the Asian Art Museum, as well as to public transportation - it's not in the best part of town. If that is a concern for you, I would suggest that you ask them about that, for example the safety of walking around at night, or what streets may generally be best to avoid. On the other hand, if you're accustomed to a certain level of grittiness, it shouldn't be a problem!
Location: great. Comfortable: very. Unique: absolutely. Private: yes. I love going to the City and this apartment helped make my best visit to San Francisco yet.
