My boyfriend and I stayed four nights on Jeans boat and loved every minute of it. Even before we got there, he was helpful in directing us on how to take RER to the boat (which I highly recommend- 10 Euro as opposed to a 50 Euro cab). He was kind enough to wait for us on the boat although we were running late. There were also fresh flowers and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The boat was clean and well decorated. There is a lot of artwork to look at, and books to flip through. It offers unparalleled views (which are even better in person) in a top location which is highly sought after in the city. It is quite a treat to have the Eiffel Tower in constant view and be able to walk by any time of day. There are many metro stations within walking distance to get you wherever you need to go. We felt very safe in the area and the boat is situated a little further back behind a full tree which provides privacy. Jean answered all of our questions and pointed out some places of interest on the map, highlighting the best way to get there. Would highly recommend le péniche Soleil, and have already suggested it to friends and family. We hope to return soon! Thanks again, Jean!

Jean was nice enough to be available upon our arrival to Paris. We appreciated the tutorial of the home. Cannot ask for a better location; coffee in the morning and drinks at night underneath the Eiffel Tower is amazing. Thought it potentially could get loud at night, but that was wrong and it was quite peaceful. It was a wonderful experience and a true gem. Would definitely stay here again.

Jean's house boat was fantastic. My wife and I got to experience life on the Seine with a view of the Eiffel Towel for a whole week. The view is better than described on the listing. The unit had everything one would need on a trip. The house was richly decorated with all sorts of art and French books. The location was also perfect. Trocadero and Eiffel Tower were located a very shot walk away. We had access to 2 very important metro stations: Line 6 and C. Safe to say that all important landmarks are just a few metro stops away. River cruises are right across the boat. Restaurants, Cafe's, and market/groceries are also a short walk away. Jean was very helpful and always available by phone should we need anything. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience something different in Paris.

The reviews and pictures are very accurate. We stayed for 8 nights and found ourselves ending our sightseeing days early to hang out on the boat. So relaxing, so scenic. We loved the outdoor deck. Jean had beautiful roses for me and wine for my husband upon arrival. Tip: 1. Have Jean show you how to get to the subway station. There was road construction going on so it was a bit tricky getting across the street but easy once we figured it out. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Although it didn't bother us, you are in the city and there are lots of city noises ( sirens mostly). Such a memorable stay for us!!!

Three things struck us immediately about this property - the incredible view, the uniqueness of the property itself, and easy access to everything. A houseboat on the Seine with a sunrise and evening spotlit view of the Eiffel Tower with easy access to restaurants, RER train and metro, is a truly amazing experience. Would recommend it for more seasoned travelers comfortable moving from airplanes to trains to buses etc, but very accessible by cab as well. This location is ideal for those with a little more of a sense of adventure and passion to explore, walk and be truly mobile.

Great time, everything was as advertised. We arrived late from visiting Mont Saint Michel, and not being sure how to get there we called Jean who gave the taxi prefect directions. Once we arrived Jean helped with our luggage and gave us a tour of the boat. The boat is clean, comfortable, has plenty of space and we stayed up every night enjoying the Eiffel tower light show. After three days inspite of the constant rain we were sad to leave.
