This famous 36' tiny home on wheels is parked mins from downtown WS on the rear portion of our 4 acre historic farm location creating a unique getaway for the tiny house enthusiast and a simple and convenient stay in the City of the Arts. This tiny is settled in a pasture with tree top views and beautiful sunsets.

The space
Enjoy a small slice of the tiny life in this famous family size farmhouse on wheels. (Roost36 was the featured tiny at the 2017 NC Tiny House Festival, has been recognized by various design and tiny forums for its unique design and appeared on season 5 of HGTVs House Hunters. Features include non-toxic construction, queen size sleeping loft with daybed space underneath as well as a single sleeping loft over the porch. The spacious living area includes cooktop, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Roku TV, sofa, & electric fireplace. Amenities include linens, dishes, coffee maker, tea kettle, tea, coffee, and a few local beverages on us. Enjoy a soak under the stars in our farm style tub, coffee with birds eye views or an evening by the fire pit. (Eco friendly soaps provided.) This tiny is located on a knoll which is mostly secluded from the rest of the farm. Another Airbnb tiny sits to the right sharing the hill. Entrances oppose one another and each tiny faces the woods and open pasture creating some privacy from the other farm buildings and tenants. Each tiny also has its own fire pit. (Note the barn is also an Airbnb rental.)

Guest access
The THRV (tiny house RV) is parked on a small pasture. Our tiny houses pride themselves on having little to no impact on the land. Therefore, they are accessed via a short walk (approx 100’) on grass from the gravel driveway. Boots are recommended as the pasture can get soggy during wet weather and we ask that shoes not be worn inside the rentals. Parking is detailed in the listing “check in instructions.” Each rental accommodates one vehicle.

Other things to note
This rental is located at the business site of Perch & Nest which is also a the location of a former dairy farm. Although we have a few roaming pets, we are not an agricultural farm. There is no WIFI in this area of our property but cell service is generally strong and personal hotspots may be used to connect to our Roku TV. Although quiet and scenic, wildlife and bugs may occur in this "off grid" pasture setting. Ants etc may visit in warmer months but we have plant based sprays inside the tiny shall you need them. You will also find a large heat/AC unit in this tiny. Tiny homes on wheels do not have central heat/air therefore elevated spaces such as lofts may need a little assistance (from fans or windows) moving air about during warmer months. Although rare, water access to this home can freeze in extremely cold temps and become unavailable but generally will return once the sun is out. Please note we are not able to to host pets of any kind including service animals due to the nature of our property which includes some free roaming animals.

We are a family of 4 who live on a small 4 acre historic farm just outside of Downtown Winston Salem. Our little plot hosts our tiny house design/construction business as well as our overnight rentals. When we’re not tiny hosting, we enjoy travel around history, good design, the arts, the great outdoors, and good eats!
