The location is in a quiet part of downtown and all sightseeing places are reachable by a short walk. There is a private terrace accessible from the room.
I strive to make the place unique:
► Perfect location – all sightseeing places are in walking distance.
► Comfortable arrival – you will get the keys at the front desk, whenever you arrive.
► My guidebook – To get you started, I prepared a leaflet with detailed check in and check out instructions, transportation, contacts and local tips.
► Guidebook books – you can borrow some printed guidebooks of Prague
► Luggage storage – if you arrive before check in time, you can leave you luggage in the apartment, go sightseeing and return to your room when it is ready.
★ The Location ★
The location is in a quiet part of downtown, though all sightseeing places are reachable by a short walk (Prague Castle 10 min, Charles Bridge 5 min, National Theatre 10 min, Petrin Tower and park 1 min, funicular 3 min, Infant Jesus of Prague 2 min).
The building is located next to Petrin Hill park. Easily accessible by public transport (tram station Hellichova is 100 meters away; 15 minutes from Main train station, 45 minutes from the airport). There is a 24/7 front desk (where you get and return the keys) and the house is monitored for security (not that it would be necessary).
★ The Room★
You will be hosted in one of two private rooms (check out the other room at http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/197336; the main differences are the terrace and size of the bed). The kitchen, toilet and bathroom are shared with the guests from the other room.
There is a queen-size bed, a wardrobe and a small table in the room. The terrace (31 sq m = 339 sq ft) is accessible from the room and is available to you only.
The room windows are oriented into a quiet private courtyard. You can lock your room by a private key. Towels are provided.
The bathroom and toilet are separated. There is hair dryer in the bathroom.
The kitchen with full equipment (including fridge, but there is no dish washer) is available to you, given you use your own ingredients and clean up after yourselves.
Typical household equipment is available to you. This includes electricity extensions, scissors, etc.
I'm living at my girlfriend's place now and work regular business hours. While I love meeting people from around the world, I hardly manage to meet you in person.
To make your stay as much smooth as possible I prepared a guidebook – a leaflet with detailed check in and check out instructions, transportation, contacts and local tips. The guidebook will be available to you after booking (I’ll send it to your e-mail).
I’m (almost) always available on the phone and reply to your messages in a timely fashion. In urgent cases the person at the front desk may help you.
Upon your arrival, you will get the keys at the front desk that operates nonstop.
It’s a perfect location to explore the city!
Prague is famous for the high quality of public transport. The location is so convenient, that you will not need to use any transport to get to the sightseeing places – all are available in walking distance. The nearest tram station is 150 m (= 165 yd) away.
To get to your room by the public transport in 40 minutes from the airport, less than 20 from the main bus terminal (Florenc) or main train station (Hlavní Nádraží).
Standard check in time is 6pm and check out time is 10am – that's when you are supposed to enter/leave the room. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage in the hall of the apartment, spend a day sightseeing and return after the check in time (similarly for check out). There is a front desk where you can pick up and return the key anytime.
Parking on street (in so called blue zones) is reserved for residents only (the car must display a permit, no short term permits are issued). As an extra service (500 CZK = 20 EUR = 30 USD per night) you can park your car by the building.
The room availability as displayed in the airbnb calendar is up-to-date and you can book immediately! (Unfortunately, instant booking is not available in the Czech Republic.)
Extra services available for a fee (payable in cash upon checkout or subtracted from the deposit):
► Wash machine (100 CZK = 4 EUR = 6 USD per load), includes laundry detergent. The clotheshorse and iron are available.
► Parking on the street, behind the bar, monitored by security front desk (500 CZK = 20 EUR = 30 USD per night)
I’m always glad for both positive and negative feedback.
Prague is a dream city. Jaro's apartment is very well situated to enjoy this mystic and magical city...You can walk to all sites. Very very convenient. Even though the apartment is not inspiring it serves it purpose: very clean, and spacious rooms. Great to stay for 2/3 days, and take advantage of the great and beautifl Prague. Thank you Jaro for recommending Lokal Restaurant. Its a MUST GO in Prague. Cheers! Alois and Florencia.
We found Jaro's place to be a perfect location for our visit to Prague. The keys are kept with a person in a reception area, so there is no problem with getting into the apartment upon arrival. We were told that we could leave luggage in the foyer if we arrived early, but the place was ready for us and we moved right in. The apartment is spacious and very clean (we had the room with the little terrace) and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is perfect for preparing small meals and there was a convenient grocery store a few blocks away. A bit further down the street is a large shopping mall with a Tesco --combination department store and huge grocery. The apartment is at the base of Petrin Hill and we loved the Petrinsky Terasa restaurant located halfway up the hill for traditional Czech food. There is also a good Mexican restaurant just down the street called Cantina. It is an easy walk to the center of Prague, and is very close to the National Theater. We rarely used the Tram, although a half hour ticket only costs about $1 and the trams are frequent.
Jaro has provided his guests with all the information necessary to see navigate the city. The unit was exceptionally clean and spacious and central to everything we wanted to see. Many thanks to our host.
The packet which Jaro provided was invaluable. Take the time to closely read the packet and you will have answers to the majority of your queries. Jaro was very quick to respond and gave great tips in his packet on how to spend time in Prague. The apartment is extremely well located, with easy walking to many sites as well as great access to public transport.
Everything as good as we expected. Clean apartment, central location, quiet neighborhood. We arrived very early in the morning, and we knew the check-in was between 2 and 4 pm, despite of this, we were welcome by a lovely woman who told us that we could leave our luggage in the living room and also have a shower, since the previous guest had already left. She had very basic english, but she was helpful and we could comunicate through a very nice neighbour who offered herself to translate.
Thank you Jaro, if I visit Prague again I will try to book this room.
Clean, but a bit spartan. Not a cosy place for hanging out in, but a good base for making the most of Prague. Very nice location. Nice pdf guide of Prague from host.
I was slightly disappointed by the flat. It was perfectly practical, but I didn't want to spend more than the bare minimum time there due to the total lack of sofas, pictures on the walls, bed side tables, carpets. My overhead light didn't have a lampshade, the bed was not particularly comfortable, and the sheets were some of the worst I have ever slept in. I find hotels impersonal and overpriced, but they would have been a better option than this flat, which wasn't particularly cheap, and was more than impersonal.
the accommodation was comfortable. we never met Jaro. we loved Prague and it was great being so close to all public transport and to the major sights. thanks!
Had a lovely stay with Jaro, although we did not meet him in person he responded quickly to my communications with him. The apartment is brilliantly situated with Charles Bridge so close and so easy to get anywhere in the city on the public transport. The kitchen is well equipped too.
Nice and big flat in a really nice area. I did not meet Jaro but everything was prepared in advanced and worked as agreed.
