Location Location Location!

Located on the edge of the West Village and Meatpacking District, this spacious studio is just steps from the popular Highline Park, Westside River Park, destination night-life (The Standard, Jane Ballroom, 675, Meatapacking district) and high-end shopping (Louboutin, Vince, Helmut Lang, DVF, Apple, DWR, Alexander McQueen), enjoy a beautiful, artsy, designer studio in the heart of New York's most desirable neighborhoods. With a lovely shared garden in the back, this studio is the perfect, tranquil base for all of your NYC adventures.

The apartment is filled with all toiletries, linens, and cookingware you should need, including tips for favorite local spots. The Village is best explored on foot, however the apt is only a 5-min walk from local bus and subway transportation, and taxis frequently pass coming from the Standard Hotel. Wifi is available in the apt and parking is available evenings and on the wknd on this historic/protected block. You'll likely stumble onto a movie set or photo shoot while wandering around the neighborhood.

I love hosting guests and sharing my true passion for this remarkable city. I'm happy to offer any pointers or ideas for any type of NYC adventure. Personally location is everything when I travel and am lucky to live on a gorgeous, quiet block in the heart of NYC's famed downtown Village scene.

Looking forward to meeting you and please contact me with any questions at all.

Cathryne was an excellent host – so accommodating, helpful and responsive! Her studio is lovely on a gorgeous street in the West Village, walking distance to many fun areas, loads of restaurants and amazing shopping. It’s clear that Cathryne takes pride in her studio as it is really well decorated and maintained. I would highly recommend Cathryne’s place and would love to stay again!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Cathryne's beautiful apartment for 5 nights and had the most fantastic stay. Cathryne was very responsive throughout the process and went above and beyond. The location is perfect, the apartment was a perfect size for two people, immaculately clean and homely. The bathroom is also great size and again, spotlessly clean. You really get the sense of what it would be like to live in West Village and despite being in such a lively and great area, the road is very quiet and clearly the neighbours are very respectful of each other. I could not recommend Cathryne's place enough. Thanks again, Cathryne!

Horatio street is the best place to be in! Here you have close access to nice restaurant and bars, but still not so close that they will keep you awake through the night. If you run down to the Hudson river you can find a free Tennis court within 1 km. The flat itself is nicely decorated. I think the owner keeps a dog normally, I found some dog hair on pillow cases and towels, and I had problem with my allergy. All pillows are also in feather and down. So not a good place to stay if you have allergies. My wife who has no such problems loved the place.

Our stay at this West Village apartment and dealing with the owner, Cathryne, represented the Airbnb experience at its absolute best. From start to finish our communication with Cathryne was seamless -she was a delight. Responding quickly to all our queries, Cathryne gave us the best recommendations for the west village- including eating spots, local’s highlights, even a yoga studio. She was also very accommodating of our arrival and departure requests. The actual apartment completely suited our needs. Situated in a residential street with the Highline, Chelsea, Meat Packers and a subway station all a walk away. Cathryne’s aesthetic makes the apartment stylish and is extremely clean and well equipped with plenty of linen and towels. This is a well-loved apartment. If you are looking for a NYC experience that has you based in a great area and staying in an excellent apartment, then consider staying in Cathryne’s - it made our stay in this amazing city.

Cathryne was incredibly accommodating, gracious, generous, and friendly! She made sure that place was clean, equipped with breakfast foods, and that my stay was smooth and comfortable. I can't express how lovely Cathryne and her home was to stay in!

Cathryne has been so helpful and convenient. Her studio is just the perfect place to stay in the beautiful neighbourhood of West Village. It is so well decorated, clean and easy to live. It is also so quiet (the street and the neighbours) which is such a lux in NYC! You have all the best restaurants, cafés, the High Line, the Chelsea Market, main subway lines just at the door of Cathryne's building. There are also all the amazing shops of the Meatpacking District. Cathryne made the check-in and check-out so easy, which was so cool after a 8 hours flight. This was at 3rd time in NYC and we have to say it was our best. We definitly recommend this place and host. Thanks again Cathryne!

Hi! I grew up in the South and the Midwest and have lived in NYC for 14 years. I am a filmmaker/photographer lucky to live in one of the best neighborhoods in Manhattan. I've worked in design and publishing but my true love is documentary filmmaking and I now work as a freelance producer and DP to support that passion.

I travel quite a bit for work but love my time home in NY. I own a lovely, bright studio with a wonderful garden shared by a building of great neighbors - a mix of young professionals and older artists. I love hostessing and entertaining guests, so I am very attentive to small details and home comforts. I look forward to meeting other creative and interesting travelers on Air B&B.
