In Rome, as well as the underground and buses there is a line of 'light railway'.
For example, the station Trastevere to Termini station it takes 13 minutes and the ticket costs only 1 €.
From Trastevere station can be reached in 10 minutes at the San Pietro train station and walk to the Vatican. The ticket price is the same bus.
The subway is not convenient because you have to go back to 1.5 km,
better to take the buses 170 and 766 to 5 minutes from the house or get to Trastevere station on foot He tells there are also other buses and the tram 8, which runs every 5 minutes and get to Largo Argentina, near the Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori.
The subway is only useful to go to the Colosseum.
Getting from the airports is very simple, just get from Fiumicino to Stazione Trastevere, you get from Ciampino to Termini station and then to Trastevere station.

Claudia wasn't there at the time when me and my friend came to Rome but her friend took care of us. He met us in front of the apartment and helped us quickly in a really urgent situation. It lays in a quiet area so you can relax after an exhausting sightseeing trip, eventhough we had a few problems with the busses and the public transport itself. The size of the flat and the flat itself was perfectly right for us and we would recommend Nanà Studio anytime.
Nice quiet neighborhood, 15 min bus ride away from the centre, and a walking distance from Trastevere. Room is small but very cosy and clean. It was also nice to have a balcony. The only thing we missed was a full body mirror. Directions to the apartment were really precise. Me and my friend came from different airports and had no problem at all finding the place. I really recommend this place price/quality wise.
First of all I must say this is not a privately owned apartment, but a commercial property, which is rented via AirBnB. I think this is important to say as one has completely different expectations when visiting a private apartment and a ho(s)tel.
I'd like to mention several positive sides of the studio:
- it was very clean, which I think is extremely important.
- Zahir was very kind and professional and explained everything that we needed to know about the apartment.
- the WiFi connection was good.
- there was air conditioning (which given the size of the room is a must).
The things I didn't like so much were the following:
- although the photos are quite accurate, in reality the studio doesn't look that nice. Every possible peace of furniture is of the cheapest possible variation (probably in order to minimize cost, as this is professionally rented apartment, as already mentioned). You see marks of very hard use all over the place (the front door was probably once broken, so a new hole with a lock was added, no cover on the garbage can, which is 1.5 m away from the bed etc.)
- the room shares a common corridor with several other rooms. The walls are very thin so that you hear people laughing/coughing/flushing the toilet/leaving/returning, which could be quite irritating, especially when you try to go to sleep after a long day in Rome.
All in all this is an acceptable budget solutions if you are late with renting a private apartment and looking to sleep in Rome cheaply, but be prepared for a hostel-like experience.
We stayed in Nana Studio for 3 nights. Accurate description. Clean, small but comfortable. Hosts are very professional. Not really in the city center but relatively well connected with public transport. There is a bus line that takes you to Piazza Venezia and a quick change of lines (to take tram 8) takes you fairly quickly to Trastevere or Piazza Venezia if in a rush hour. Neighborhood is full of bars and restaurants.
Clean and cosy appartment located not so far (10-15 min. by foot) from Trastevere station, in a good and calm streat.
