Tucked away in tranquil bushland, our studio cabin offers stylish and relaxed accommodation in central Ocean Grove.

Sleeping up to four people, the cabin includes a simple kitchenette, dining area and ensuite bathroom. Other facilities include tennis court, fire pit and bikes.

Our bush retreat is only five minutes drive to Ocean Grove's shopping strip, cafes, restaurants, wineries + beach.

The space
Follow us on Instagram to see what guests get up to at The Woods; @thewoods_oceangrove.
.
We live on 1.6 acres of peaceful bushland in old Ocean Grove. A private driveway leads you into The Woods, where you'll find our two timber cabins. Our home is on the other side of the block, with the tennis court and expansive gardens in between.
.
With its light and modern décor, the second of our cabins is a fresh and fun space for a couple, group of friends or small family. With a queen bed, single bed and pull-out bed this cabin can sleep up to four guests. It is a studio space and the beds are all in the same room - there are not separate bedrooms.
.
Prepare a cosy night in with wine and cheese; the simple kitchenette features a microwave, kettle, toaster, bar fridge and coffee machine (sink is in the bathroom). A selection of teas, coffee, milk and welcome treats are all provided. If you would like to cook a proper meal, the outdoor kitchen has a gas BBQ and electric hot plate, or pre-order a breakfast hamper or grazing platter from us.
.
A dining table is just the space to set up a laptop, spread out with the papers or linger over a drop of wine from a nearby winery. The space also comes equipped with a TV, DVD player and free wifi.
.
The ensuite bathroom is separate from the main room and is clean and bright. It's a small space but has everything you need including towels, soap and hairdryer. Guests always comment on the impressive shower head and water pressure!
.
The verandah has a beautiful view of the native garden, huge gum trees and tennis court. Perch on the stools or sprawl on the daybed listening to the calls of the bush with your morning coffee. Pre-order a breakfast hamper and you'll be sorted for the morning-after. This is the closest you’ll get to a home among the gum trees.
.
After a day exploring our local wineries, golf courses, shops, markets and beaches, nestle in underneath the gum trees in one of our bush cabins and really unwind. With outdoor facilities including tennis court, pitch and putt golf green, two adult sized-bicycles, firepit and alfresco eating area, you’ll be laughing along with the kookaburras as the sun sets for another day on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Guest access
All of these outdoor facilities are shared with other cabin guests and at times, our small family. The Woods only sleeps six people in total across both cabins, so it feels private and never crowded.
.
Unfortunately our property is not suitable for pets.

Other things to note
Minimum night stays apply during January, long weekends and special holidays. Check with us first and we will try and accommodate one or two night stays wherever possible.
.
Check our listing for Cabin One which can sleep two guests.

My earliest travel memories are scribbled in the journal of a six year-old, documenting the red sand, dead cattle and river crossings through central Australia. Over the next 25 years as I trekked, soared and cycled across the globe, my eyes grew wider and my handwriting a little neater. The notes I kept on who I met, where I slept and the places that sang out loud convinced me that one day, I'd offer a stop-over of my own. So welcome to my place; a little patch of bushland set right on the beach. Surrounded by wineries, cafes and pubs, rockpools, yoga and surfing, boutique shopping and local markets, there’s enough going on here to fill your own pages. Along with my husband, we are happily raising our two daughters, Frankie and Maggie, who are a fourth generation Ocean Grove family. This town is in our DNA! My most memorable adventures: • Surviving the dubious train journey from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe • Camping alongside a brass band in the backyard of a Serbian local for the Guca Trumpet Festival • Dodging the donkeys on the steep trek up and down Colca Canyon, Peru • Sharing a fruit salad with a local artist named Plaucio as we got up close with an iguana on the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador • Eating dumplings and goulash on Christmas Eve in a snowy Slovakian village • Serving pints at a thrilling local derby football match in Edinburgh, Scotland • Negotiating the hills, mud, sweat and emotion of the Kokoda Track, Papua New Guinea • Saying “I DO” in Uzes, France’s most charming village
