Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
The Moonraker is beach-themed, up 15 stairs (handrails both sides) to second level. Full kitchen, gas fireplace, living room with ocean balcony, and king bed in bedroom on the back (street) side.

The space
One bedroom condo, up 15 steps with two handrails to second level, one of ten condos in my building. Sleeps 2-4 people; king bed in the bedroom, and sofa bed in front room. Full kitchen, gas fireplace in the living room, and tub/shower combo in the bathroom.

Beach access is via a driving ramp, or 50 gentle walking steps with one handrail.

The condo is equipped with basic spices (salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, and Italian seasoning) plus oil and oil spray. We also have a drip coffee maker with filters, and an adequate array of cooking pans, pots, bowls, casserole dishes, and utensils. If something you need is missing, please call or text me.

We also have a Samsung smart TV and wifi, which gives great entertainment options.

Seafood odors linger long and strong, so please, no cooking fresh seafood in the condo.

Extra folding chairs and playing games are in the closet.

No smoking in condo, or on balcony.

No pets or animals, please.

FYI, the shower head in the bathroom is lower than normal. We have no idea why the builder made it that way, but it works great, and our water pressure is also great!

Please note: We do not provide chargers for electric vehicles. We recommend locating nearby charging stations in advance. Thank you for your understanding.

Guest access
One block away from Highway 101, easy walking to restaurants, souvenir shops, and a grocery store.

Beach access is via 50 gentle stairs (with two handrails) or a paved ramp to drive onto the beach! In fact, during April - Sept, many people like to park their cars on the beach (right below the condo) when the tide is out! But twice a day, the tide rolls in, and clears everybody out!!!

No pets allowed. Please do not ask to bring a favorite animal. It just doesn't work to mix animals, and folks with allergies in our private condo. I cannot host guests with dogs, because I have other guests, who specifically ask me for "allergen-free" rooms. I do not have pet-friendly rooms.

Parking in a beach town is challenging but manageable. We have 11 off-street parking spaces. Some will accommodate large vehicles, others will not. If you are driving a small vehicle, please be considerate and choose a small parking space. Please be aware that a large 4-door truck may find parking in our lot challenging, and you might find it more comfortable to park on a side street.

At check-in, we issue one parking permit for our lot, and vehicles without permits will be subject to towing.

Extra vehicles can find parking on the side streets of 15th and 14th Streets. Please be advised, that Lincoln City writes tickets if vehicles park in their lot across the street between 1-5 a.m.

Bring your own BBQ to enjoy at the beach, or bring some newspaper and kindling to light a campfire on the beach! (The driftwood is often wet and hard to start without dry wood, but burns great once going!)

Other things to note
This is a vacation condo with no AC. In an effort to offer an awesome beach experience at a minimal price, we provide clean towels and linens for each guest's stay, but we do not have daily housekeeping, nor provide clean towels daily.

We do provide bath soap bars, complimentary shampoo and conditioner in separate bottles, as well as complimentary coffee for a day or two (depending on how much one consumes :)

For your planning purposes: our rates are based on occupancy. Extra guests over the number of two cost only $8/person/night, and are quoted in your price when you include the total persons in your party. This makes our condo affordable for couples or families. If you arrive with additional guests who are undeclared, our extra person charge is $15/person/night.

It's very easy to step outside and walk around to the edge of the lawn and enjoy the ocean air and sights, downlooking from the bluff to view the tide pools and people on the beach below.

BRING BINOCULARS for your trip! From here, you can watch ships, whales, people, birds, and vehicles stuck in the sand...great fun!

The Moonraker is in the upscale Oceanlake Historic District, conveniently located close to a ramp to actually drive onto the beach sand!

For the shoppers in your group, Tanger Mall on Highway 101 in Lincoln city has name-brand outlet shopping for those who wish to cruise the shops, as well as many antique stores and curio shops.

The Chinook Winds Casino and Convention Center is just 2 miles north, with an indoor golf resort, seafood dining, concerts and entertainment, and 23 table games.

Bring some firewood and starter and enjoy a campfire on the beach. It's state-owned property and perfectly legal without any permit! 'Keep the fire small as a lawn chair and west of the vegetation line and extinguish with water, not sand.' (Oregon State Parks rules)

Bring roasting sticks and marshmallows and hotdogs and you'll have a very fun and memorable meal down at the beach :)

The local Chamber of Commerce sponsors a fun program called 'Finders Keepers' and annually hides 3000 hand blown glass sand dollars and Japanese sea floats along the 7 1/2 miles of Lincoln City beach! Be sure to walk the beach in front of your condo and look along the cliffs and among the grass and driftwood for these valuable collector items!

Devils Lake, deep only in terms of historic folklore, is 1/3 mile wide, 3 miles long, and reaches a depth of only 22 feet. Nine species of freshwater fish beckon the fisherman, while water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, knee-boarding and jet skiing engage other sports enthusiasts. Flowing from Devils Lake is the 'D' River, which holds the title of one of the World's Shortest Rivers. From its source at Devils Lake, the river reaches its destination of the Pacific is a mere 120 feet.

Just 30 miles south is the town of Newport on Yaquina Bay, with it's working fleet of fishing vessels, plus sea lions basking on the docks and dozens of quaint bayfront shops and curio stores and restaurants.

World-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium is also located in Newport, as well as the Maritime Museum and the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Your days will be delightful, whether beach combing for glass floats or shopping or dining or reading in front of the fireplace!
