Perfect for you! Clean/comfy! 2 BR

Apartment - Entire home/apt · St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10009, United States

Clean and comfy accommodation in the vibrant East Village ! Make yourself at home in this fully furnished 2 BR apartment. You will love it!

The Space

Affordable accommodation in a great EAST VILLAGE location in a safe and friendly building.

Fully furnished, clean, natural wooden floors throughout, with great light (windows in every room) and a kitchen ready for you to cook (although you probably won't want to, as there are so many great places out your door) :) There are 2 Bedrooms with full-sized beds with dressers and a pull-out couch in the living room (not a ton of room to move around when pulled out, but definitely doable) . There are 2 large closets in the living room for storage and hanging clothing.

Awesome location (Saint Mark's Place/1st Ave), with easy access to UNION SQUARE, GREENWICH VILLAGE, West Village, SOHO and tons of great bars, restaurants, cafes, comedy clubs, music venues and shopping. You will love the EASY ACCESS to NYC's great public transportation system TRAINS...R,Q,N,4,5,6,L & cross -town buses.

There is a park across the road from the Apartment, and if you like a morning run, then the East River park is also just a 5 minutes jog away - offering great runs next to the river with views of Williamsburg bridge.

You will ideally be late 20's/30's/40's, thoughtful, friendly & respectful. This is not suitable for someone looking to bring the party home.

Sorry, no pets and no smoking.

**Please be aware that this is an older, Pre-War building with heating that is controlled by the building. Don't worry, you'll never be cold, but the mode of heating is Water/Steam Pipes that can make noise (clanking) for a short time (3-5 minutes) periodically. If you are a light sleeper, this may bother you at night. ( I am used to it, since living here in NYC for 4 years. But I grew up in the countryside, so I know these things do vary). The building itself is immaculate (cleaned daily, marble lobby/stairwell).

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the kitchen, bathroom, closets, and living room.

Interaction with Guests

It is very important to me that my guests are comfortable and happy! I am reachable via phone, text, email and really encourage everyone to reach out when needed ;)

Check In
  • The apartment in a safe building is clean and suitable for 2 couples with real beds as advertised (though not spacious).Bex was very attentive to make sure we arrived and were doing ok, and was flexible about the departure time. The neighborhood has a wide variety of food and entertainment, and is convenient to subways.

  • We stayed here in early December (3 adults). The building is (email hidden)ly street with lots of great restaurants/bars and close enough to other hot spots in the city (walking, cabs or subway). The building itself is well maintained and felt safe and clean. The apartment was very functional- basic, nothing special, with enough room to feel comfortable. Bex was reachable by email or airbnb regularly, however, when we ran into issues (our kitchen and living room lights burnt out), she could only help at a distance (I.e. We would have to purchase light bulbs and replace them ourselves with a step stool or ladder...I didn't feel like I wanted to do this on vacation, so we managed without them). This is not a huge issue, but I read reviews at other places and the hosts appeared to be readily available to help out in person. That being said, it's a basic and functional place, heat is fine (too hot at times but we opened windows to balance it out), and it's a great location at a reasonable price, so it served our purposes well. Thanks!

  • Everything was fine.
The flat is really clean, roomy and convenient.
The location is ideal, right in the middle of east village, plenty of choice and lots of places to go round in a few minutes.
It is also a quiet flat even though in a very active area.

    Tx for the stay !

  • The apartment is a little dated (and Bex has left all her stuff ;) but it's very well located in one of the coolest streets of East Village, with plenty of bars and restaurants. Bex is a very nice and accommodating host.

  • Best location in NYC, close to everything (and to several good subway lines), lovely neighborhood, great restaurants, pretty streets. Apartment is perfect: clean, airy, quiet (despite being on St Mark's Place, it is in back of building, so very peaceful). I was travelling with my two kids, and it was amazing that there were 3 separate sleeping areas -- not always easy to find in NY for a reasonable price. Arrangements were smooth and Bex was extremely pleasant and helpful. I'd stay there again anytime. Thanks so much!
