Other Things to Note
"The Baboon", Ripetta street and Via del Corso, the three main arteries of the historic center of Rome meet there in Piazza del Popolo. Representation of papal patronage Renaissance, the ancient seat of games, fairs, folk performances and executions, the square is certainly one of the most famous in the world.
"Felici faustoque ingressui MDCLV" ("For a happy and auspicious imput"): this is the message carved by Bernini on the Porta del Popolo (the ancient Porta Flaminia) upon the arrival in Rome of Queen Christina of Sweden, and today welcomes millions of visitors each year who come to admire the historical and cultural wonders offered by the square.
The twin churches of Santa Maria Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli, the Obelisco Flaminio (the oldest and the second highest of Rome), and the two Valadier's fountains help create the charming atmosphere of the square. And yet, the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, built on the burial site of Emperor Nerone and his damned soul , and the adjacent business premises , which have become an integral part of the square and once frequented by people dear to the history of Rome as Trilussa, Guttuso and Pasolini make Piazza del Popolo the highest cultural emblem of the "Romanity" .

Thanks to the stylish apartment we had a chance to talk about Italian movies to our 11-years old daughter. She learned about Federico Fellini, Marcelo Mastroianni, Gina Lollobrigida.
Our trip was a real immersion into Italian culture and history and Giuly&Paolo’s apartment was an important part of the adventure. Definitely recommend the host and the apartment to everybody who wants to feel the taste of Rome.
Paolo was there when we arrived and went through the property thoroughly. Location was perfect as it was in the description. A short walk to the Vatican or the Coliseum. I wish we had more time to see more of the city and to have been able to use the bicycles to explore more of the area.
The apartment is at a great location and very clean. Paolo greeted us at the apartment and gave us detailed information on how to use the metro and where to eat that's a great help for our stay. The apartment is perfect for a couple but a little bit crowded for a group of four. We still highly recommend Paolo's apartment.
This was our first Airbnb experience - wow! It's going to be hard to beat this... lovely apartment, it was so hot whilst we were there but the saver was a fabulous air conditioner unit in the bedroom. Wonderful location, Paulo greeted us and organized our airport transfer, his recommendations on restaurants was really terrific. We used the 2 bikes every day - we zoomed around alleyways, main roads, piazzas, parks. Would highly recommend this wonderful apartment to everyone. Quiet apartment in a wonderful central, interesting, and lively location. Thank you Giuly and Paolo so much.
Overall this was a great experience! We arrived earlier than the check-in time, and Guily met us and allowed us to check-in early. Great to get the day started since there is a ton to see in Rome. The location was also great and many of the historical sites are within walking distance. Lastly, the apartment itself was comfortable and we had our best night's sleep on their mattress.
Paolo was a brilliant host. When we arrived he helped us with our bags and once inside the apartment he spent lots of time going over everything. The apartment is fantastic and exceeded our expectations. You get far more than what you see.
Paolo left us a list of restaurants to go to, explaining why he had listed each one. We used the list which has some terrifc spots listed.
the area is wonderful, very safe and friendly.
