We are located in a nice, clean, and safe neighborhood. We live on the first floor and are unobtrusive hosts. (Pet free due to allergies, no exceptions).
We offer your choice of two queen bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a full, private bath. There is an additional 1/2 bath on the first floor for your convenience.
To us, a booking for two people means they will share one bedroom. If however, you'd like to use both bedrooms for two people, please message us so we are clear about your needs.
For example, two travel buddies may prefer their own bed, or maybe you and a colleague are traveling to a nearby conference or event. By sharing the bathroom you'll save money and we can accommodate you both while giving each a private bedroom. Additional $15 cleaning fee for a booking with two people in two rooms.
For maximum comfort let us know your pillow preference. We offer firm, soft, or tempurpedic.
A variety of coffee and teas are available.
Feel free to join us in the morning for fresh squeezed orange juice or juice your own any time of day. We keep plenty of fruit available so help yourself. For the health conscious feel free to use the various juicers, food processor, and the Vitamix.
Most people live out of their suitcase when they're on short trips so we have a luggage rack in each room. That little convenience is the first thing I look for when we have to be in a hotel for a night or two!
When Steve and I prepare meals they are plant based so if you've been curious about eating healthier, whole foods, or want to join us for a meal or salad, or simply taste-test, there will be plenty to share. No pressure, of course. Questions are welcomed. It's perfectly fine to bring in your food of choice. We eat simply for taste and health. We have eaten everything at one time or another and are not pushy activist types; all are welcome.
While you're here, this is your home and we give you a key. Guests can use the entire living space: kitchen, laundry, etc. Kitchen has a Vitamix, citrus juicer, food processor, and hand held blender. You will have fridge and freezer space as well as cabinet space in the kitchen.
Wifi is throughout the house and backyard/patio. You will have everything you need for a comfortable, fun and relaxing stay. Feel free to BYOB.
Borrow a cooler and 2 sand chairs for a beach excursion. Beach towels provided. Tennis rackets and balls also available.
Be sure to check out the Guidebook to see how close you are to everything.

Great experience. Dee and Steve are very friendly hosts. Place is exactly as described.
This clean townhouse is in a beautiful neighborhood with a pool. It was wonderful to have a bedroom and bath upstairs in a private space. Dee and Steve were very welcoming and helpful. They provided space in the fridge and welcomed you to use their kitchen. There is a great outdoor patio to eat and relax on the lounge chairs. We had a wonderful stay.
Staying with Dee & Steve was everything one could ask for and more! Their home in Oldsmar is centrally located for Tampa and Clearwater and is very easy to get wherever you want / need to go.
The upstairs rooms are large, very clean, and comfortable; there were also plenty of towels and amenities in the bathroom. A Travel Buddy and I stayed for two days and used both rooms.
Upon arrival, we asked Dee to recommend a local, non-chain restaurant for our first meal and “Jack Willie’s” was spot on! She also showed us where everything was located in the kitchen and garage, and shared the WiFi password so we could connect to the Internet. There was also plenty of designated space for guests’ drinks and snacks in the refrigerator.
Upon returning the first evening, we met Steve and had a great conversation with everyone getting to know each other. My friend and I had brought back an oversized pizza and Dee & Steve were very helpful with letting us use the garage refrigerator for the leftovers! ;o)
I highly recommend staying with Dee & Steve and am looking forward to another trip to Tampa in the future.
Everybody in my family (there were 4 of us) loved staying with Dee and Steve. Their comfortable , airy home is located in a convenient for us, quiet residential neighborhood. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were nicely decorated with very comfortable beds, pretty bedding and desks if you needed them. We had our own private bathroom and the small toiletries were a nice touch. We kept our yogurt, water, etc. in the fridge and enjoyed a cup of coffee in the kitchen.
Dee and Steve are very friendly, interesting people, always available when needed and knowledgeable about things to do and places to visit. We enjoyed talking with them. At the same time they gave us a lot of privacy, especially that they stayed downstairs at another part of the house.
Dee and Steve were wonderful hosts, our stay was very comfortable , pleasant and fun thanks to them. Thank you Dee and Steve!
Thank you Steve and Dee for another week staying in your home. Enjoyed the healthy sweet treats you made - and the conversation too!
Dee and Steve were such gracious hosts. They made me feel very welcome and made sure I had everything I needed, left me alone to come and go as I pleased but were around when I needed something.
The accommodations were wonderful, very comfortable, tasteful, and well thought out.
I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely couple or their place!
Dee and Steve were wonderful hosts! They made us feel at home in their home, providing space in the cabinets and refrigerator for our items, and access to the washer and dryer. Everything was clean and just as listed.
About the Host, Dee And Steve
We love to travel. Whether you're the type of guest who has your trip figured out and just wants to be left alone or if you need some help getting your bearings and figuring out what to look for and what to look out for, we're here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We're quiet, non-drinkers, non-smokers and are vegetarian/vegan friendly.
Steve has a great sense of humor and manages a chain of retail stores. Dee manages rental property and is passionate about making glass art. Her educational background is in Business and Plant Based Nutrition (through Cornell). Both attended University of Florida.
We've cruised the Caribbean quite a bit and a few of our favorite destinations are further away: Tahiti, Cook Islands, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Ireland, and Spain. We're looking forward to exploring Australia, New Zealand, Bali, Singapore, Fiji, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
We know no trip is perfect and it's very helpful to have a flexible attitude when away from home so we've adopted this motto from the movie The Best Marigold Hotel: "Everything works out in the end. If it's not working out, it's not the end."
