Behind the famous Admiralspalast and only one step from the legendary subway and metro station Friedrichstraße. Museum Island is only 2 minutes to walk! Also Brandenburger Gate, countless bars and restaurants, parks, shopping malls such as Galeries Lafayette are only few steps from my place!
The apartment is on the first floor and is very quiet because overlooks the back courtyard.

This place was very centrally located and had a lot of space! Very comfortable! Unfortunately, Daniel couldn't be there when I first checked in, but his friend made sure I had everything I needed and was able to answer questions I had about the city.
Unfortunately Daniel wasn't there to receive us, he let us know this beforehand. We found the place not so tidy.
The person in charge of opening up, seems was also renting the place, so, it was a suprise to him that people from airbnb were arriving.
This and the fact the publication was unclear on what you are actually booking on airbnb is a letdown. It doesn't state you will share a bathroom with someone, or the apartment. It does state you have a private room, but the pictures show the sofa-bed from the living room, not that one you will be actually using. In the end it worked out for us, because the guy renting in the apartment decided to stay someplace else, but it something to look out for and the listing is not accurate.
The place is really well located, a block away from the S-station, and a small walk from Museum Island.
The apartment is very close to the metro, only a few minutes walk. David welcomed us and helped us carry our heavy luggage up the stairs. However there were a few issues with the water system and heating. It was very cold for our winter stay. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and good sized room. We had the whole apartment to ourselves.
Daniel was both cordial and helpful, though very "hands off". The location is excellent and as described. The apartment is spacious, and mostly private as Daniel is not often around. It turned out not to be ideal for two people who do not sleep in the same bed, so I'd recommend it for singles and couples only. The place was very chilly, but Daniel helped heat the place when we let him know, but the heat did not work the rest of the visit. There is WiFi, but it was consistently unavailable from about midnight until morning, and this made working difficult for my colleague and I who were covering the Berlin Film Festival and often returned home late needing internet access.
I had a great stay at Daniel's place in Berlin, his apartment was clean and tidy and exactly what I needed for my trip. The location is excellent being a quick stroll to the station and there are plenty of shops, bars and cafes very close by. Daniel was a great host, very welcoming and helpful and full of helpful information about Berlin.
I am living in Berlin for the last 8 years. My interests are in technology & engineering, extreme sports, traveling. I am a software developer and I find Berlin to be one of the most exciting cities with its rich history, great nightlife and culture.
