Stone’s Throw Cabin is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on approximately 1 1\2 acres on its own grounds. It is the perfect, private, small rustic getaway Cabin with its own private driveway.
Just a 40 second drive to the New River Public access where you can enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking etc.,
The small town of Independence is just 15 minutes away, convenient for groceries, restaurants and rental of kayaks etc.,
Visit Grayson Highlands National Park for hiking and spot wild ponies.

The space
Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway stopping on the way to admire the breath-taking views, discover the numerous trails, visit Galleries and Restaurants all on the Parkway. Go Waterfall hunting!
Downtown Galax is just a 20-minute drive, famous for its music festival, Antique and unique stores.
In the Fall come choose and cut your own Christmas Tree from one of the many farms nearby.
Come see the colors of the changing leaves in the fall.
So cozy in the fall with wood stove & firepit. (Wood not provided).

This is a rustic Cabin with beautiful mountain views.
The public boat landing with access to the New River is just a 4-minute walk or a 1-minute drive from the Cabin. There is free Wi-Fi access at the boat landing.
Close to Mount Rogers & Grayson Highlands where you can hike, view the wild ponies. Great cycling trails & horseback riding with guided tours.
Kayaks & floats can be rented by local company & offer guided tours of the river.
Come & discover the beautiful colors, drive the Parkway close by.
Visit Christmas tree farms & choose & cut your own.
