Carrie is an exceptional host

Guests praise host Carrie by name for her warmth, local knowledge, and attentive communication.
Eagle's Nest is a charming, ocean themed studio with one queen bed that features panoramic views of Depoe Bay Harbor the entire length of the studio! The ocean is on the other side of Hwy 101 so you can relax to the sounds of the crashing waves while enjoying the views of the marina and harbor. Just steps away from museums, restaurants, shopping, whale watching, fishing, and more!
**There may be occasional noise from bridge construction, the cafe on days it’s open, traffic, and the harbor. **

The space
Rejuvenate in this unique, luxurious ocean themed studio with a queen-sized bed, dining space, 2 cozy chairs, TV/DVR, desk, microwave, mini fridge, and drip coffee maker! Room amenities also include a separate room for shower, separate room for bathroom, and private entrance.
Sound proofing has been added to help ensure your peace as the apartment shares a common wall with the Whale Bites Cafe (closed for 2026). However, there is a potential for early morning noise from the cafe on days it’s open, Hwy 101 traffic, the harbor, and animals outside. If you are sensitive to sound in the early morning, we might not be the right choice for you.
** 2026: The bridge is under construction during the day, Monday-Thursday, and may create noise. The cafe’s patio is closed for bridge construction but guests are welcome to use the patio down the stairs to Carrie’s dock**

Only at Eagle’s Nest can you take in the unmatched views of the harbor, enjoy the amazing offerings of Whale Bites Cafe, explore the Whale, Sea Life, and Shark Museum next door, and have the adventure of a lifetime on one of Carrie's Zodiac Whale Watching trips! Guests at Eagle's Nest receive complimentary admission to the Whale, Sea Life, and Shark Museum during your stay, 10% off food and drinks at Whale Bites Cafe (currently closed 2026), and two $5-off Whale Watching coupons for Whale Research Eco Excursions. MUSEUM AND RESTAURANTS ARE ONLY OPEN LIMITED TIMES AND DAYS AND CLOSE COMPLETELY FOR THE WINTER SEASON. These are separate businesses so please contact them directly for questions about their services.

Parking for one vehicle is free and off-street. Oversized or additional vehicle can use street parking. During bridge construction, parking is temporarily moved to in front of the cafe, as it is closed. You may still choose to park or unload down the hill, in front of the shed, at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage to tires or vehicles if you chose to go past the gate to park or unload.

ABSOLUTELY NO PETS OR ANIMALS. If animals are found inside the apartment, a $350 cleaning fee will be imposed and you will be asked to leave the property immediately.

NO SMOKING ON THE PROPERTY OR INSIDE RENTAL.

PLEASE NOTE-ADDITIONAL FEES:
Depoe Bay charges a 12% lodging tax that is NOT INCLUDED the total that Airbnb collects when you make your reservation. Airbnb requires a separate additional payment to collect this tax through the resolution center. By making your reservation, you agree to pay this tax via the resolution center prior to check-in.

**Please note:
The Museum may not be open or available year-round. Please contact them directly if you would like to confirm their availability during your stay. Whale watching trips must be booked separately through Whale Watching EcoExcursions by calling them directly. The Whale Bites Cafe is currently closed for remodeling in 2026.

From the host

Depoe Bay is the world's smallest navigable harbor! The area features breathtaking views of the coast line, is Oregon's Whale Watching Hot Spot, has fantastic nearby crabbing, clamming, and fishing opportunities, and is perfectly located between the larger cities of Lincoln City and Newport. Visitors can walk along the seawall, watch for whales from the observation center across the street from us, enjoy storm & whale watching at Boiler Bay at the north end of town, or head south to Rocky Shores to picknick at the state park. Cape Foulweather is 500 ft above sea level, offers amazing vistas of the coast line, is a prime location for whale watching, features a quaint gift store, and is about 10 minutes south of Depoe Bay. The Otter Crest Loop is just south and is a fantastic drive that has some of the best views on the Oregon Coast and takes you right to Devils Punch Bowl, an awesome place for tide-pooling during low tide! You can even try the famous clam chowder at Moe's while you're there, or sample the wines at the Flying Dutchman. There's so much to do in and around Depoe Bay!
There are also lots of nearby areas for hiking, kayaking, and of course, looking for hidden glass floats on the beaches of Lincoln City (Finders Keepers).

I am a Marine Biologist and have been researching and educating people about the fascinating animals that we have along the Oregon Coast, including the Gray Whales, for 25 years! I run the Whale, Sea Life, & Shark Museum, the Whales Bites Cafe, and Whale Research EcoExcursions, all located adjacent to the apartment. I have two beautiful daughters, 4 wonderful grandsons, and my dog, Koda, who helps captain the whale watching trips! I hope you decide to stay with me and I would love to show you the whales and other marine life in Depoe Bay!
