All about Emily’s place

Located in the heart of Downtown Knoxville in the vibrant Historic Parkridge Neighborhood. Enjoy being just 1.5 miles from Downtown & 3 miles from The University of Tennessee. **We are not within walking distance to Downtown, but you can easily catch an Uber/Lyft ride for roughly $5.

The space
We created a private space for our guests with a coded entrance (you pick the code) & designated off-street parking located right outside the suite.

The guest suite is located on the back side of the house and features it's own living room & bathroom. I live in the attached main house with two of my best friends, so if you need anything during your stay, we're close by.

**We do have a cat & dog that live in the main house which is attached to the suite. They are not allowed in the Airbnb, but we wanted to ensure that folks booking with allergies were made aware of Heidi (Terrier) & Parker (Porch Kitty).

**We love our neighborhood because it's located so close to downtown and all the things we love (restaurants, entertainment, coffee, breweries). For those that love historic homes, our neighborhood boasts the most Barber homes in the country. With that being said, our neighborhood is not a gated community. We live in an urban area with all types of people. It's our favorite place we've lived in Knoxville and look forward to sharing that with you! Basically what we’re trying to say is that our neighborhood is ethnically diverse.

One really cool thing to note is that HGTV hosted a Dream Home Giveaway called the "Urban Oasis" last year, and the home is located right up from our home in Historic Fourth & Gill. We walk by the home almost ever week on our way to KBrew (Local Coffee Shop).

Where you’ll be

Knoxville, Tennessee, United States

Our home is located in the Historic Parkridge Neighborhood located just 1.5 miles from Downtown Knoxville. Our neighborhood is recognized on the National level for boasting the most Barber homes in the country. My roommates and I love walking down our street and seeing all the beautiful craftsman & victorian homes coming back to life - Every home is different.

We have had a lot of guests comment on the location which we totally understand. Just like many Downtown neighborhoods, there are different pockets. If you come off of I40 on Cherry Street, you will notice that it looks a little "rough" - We wouldn't disagree with you :). However, once you come into our neighborhood and go all the way to the end, you will notice all the beautifully restored home. As 3 young women living in this home, we have always felt safe and absolutely love our neighborhood. We know our neighbors, and as a Realtor, I have helped several of my friends buy homes in our neighborhood. If you're looking to be close to all the hip restaurants, breweries and coffee shops, you'll be extremely close at our home. It's what we love about area and can't wait to share it with you.

Hi! My name is Emily, and I've been traveling with Airbnb since 2017. After purchasing my first home in 2018, I decided to start hosting and have absolutely loved the experience. I'm a Realtor here in Knoxville and am also co-owner of New2Knox which is a resource for newbies to find community in our Scruffy City. So if you're looking to move to Knoxville, I would love to host you and tell you all the things I love about our city.
