Curaçao House San Lorenzo Wireless

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via degli Ausoni, Rome, Lazio 00185, Italy

The Space

Curaçao is a two-room house located in the heart of San Lorenzo, in Via degli Ausoni, close to Piazza dei Sanniti. It is located on the fourth and last floor (with elevator) of a historical building of the 20s, and it's sunny. The apartment comprises a double bedroom with an inner bathroom with shower, a large living room with kitchenette and a peninsula in stone and the hall. In the living room you find a comfortable sofa bed and a table with chairs. The kitchenette has stove, refrigerator, sink, washing machine and everything you need for cooking. The living room has large French windows that open onto a beautiful balcony overlooking the bell tower of Piazza degli Aurunci. The room is equipped with air conditioning. You can use internet wi fi 24 hours a day. A cradle is available if you need it.
Ideal both for a romantic couple, with or without a child, or two friends. Double glazing and overlooking on the inner courtyard make the house very quiet despite the busy and noisy atmosphere of the neighborhood.
San Lorenzo is one of the most fashionable neighborhoods of the capital city, characterized by the presence of the University that makes it a meeting point for young people, it's like an outdoor multi-ethnic theater. In its streets you can still find craftsman's laboratories of the last century mixed up with trendy bars that open and close constantly chasing the latest trends.
Just next door on the street, there is the historic bar "Celestine" of the early '900, today become a staple of the nightlife of San Lorenzo. As written on the Routard Guide, "the more pleasant and intense atmosphere that you can breathe". Few meters from the gate, Piazza dei Sanniti, you find "Pommidoro", the historic restaurant attended by Pasolini and other Roman writers in the 70s. In Piazza degli Aurunci, every morning, takes place a picturesque open-air market where you can buy fresh fish and other natural food. San Lorenzo is 2 km far from Termini railway station, key point for transports, and not far from the Tiburtina railway station, the new main railway station of Rome. Moreover, it is connected to the center with several lines of buses and trams.

  • In one word: Great. The apartment is very well described by the Host, and the property is cosy, friendly and spacious in real life. A superb host, Simona was very open, helpful and available during our stay.

The neighbourhood, San Lorenzo, is a hip and happening quarter in Rome. The cafe downstairs is full of locals, silent at day, quite noisy at night, but the apartment is silent all the time. Sleep quality is very good. Very close to the apartment are a pizza take-away store, supermarket and restaurants.

The apartment is an approx. 20-25 mins walk from Termini Train & Metro Station. Bus 492 and tram 3 are good connections if you want to reach downtown.

  • Simona and her mother have been very kind, and the communication before arrival was very rapid and clear. The appartment in San Lorenzo is perfect for a couple or students who have to go to Sapienza University. The best: the balcony and the wireless. See you Simona!

  • Our stay in the apartment is wonderful! Although you will find the walk from the station to the apartment is a little far if you are carrying big luggages, there is an option of taking bus from the station to the apartment as well. Simona was there to greet us, give us a brief details about the apartment, and gave us really good suggestion about where to get a good meal near to the apartment! Sadly, arrived in Rome around Saturday evening and had to leave Rome early Monday morning, hence, we didn't have a chance to try out all the restaurant Simona recommended. But we will definitely stay at Simona place again if we were ever to go back to Rome! It has been a pleasant trip.

  • For us it was the perfect place to stay. The flat has everything you need, bus and tram take you directly to all the main attractions, the area around supports supermarkets and restaurants. If you visit rome for a few days, we can`t imagine a better place. Simona is very nice and her flat too. Just go for it. You can`t do anything wrong.

  • We had a fantastic time in San Lorenzo! The apartment was beautiful and spacious. Simona provided everything we needed from towels to shampoo to coffee and breakfast! She was incredibly helpful and gave us loads of recommendations as to where to eat and drink near by. San Lorenzo is a young and trendy area full of cool bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend it! Thank you Simona!

  • The house was really beautifull, the area quite lively full with bars and young people as it is teh University's area but at the same time the house was quite during the night as it faces the inner courtyard. What I liked most about my stay was the attention to the details in the house - I've stayed in many appartments but this is the only one where I could even cook a meal without having to buy a kg of salt or a liter of oil to use once and then leave behind or throw away. Simona has thougth about everything, there were all kind of ingredients for cooking, cookies, coffee and cornflakes for breakfast and also shampoo so I didn't need to buy a new one as it always happens.
When in Rome I will stay in the flat again!
    Thank you!

  • Thank you very much for hosting!

This flat is situated in very good place, near the Termini station, which is central bus and railway station, so you can easily move to any part of the Rome. Also it is only 2 km to the Colliseum, so you can walk here. Simona provided as all neccessary staff for tourism - I mean map, recomendations etc. Flat was very comfortable and nice.

  • Simona's apartment is really nice and amazingly quiet, even though it's situated in the middle of the vibrant San Lorenzo nightlife area. Simona is very kind and helpful: it's been a very pleasant stay indeed.

  • We spent at Casa Curasao in San Lorenzo about a week in January, 2014 and it was really a very nice time. We liked Simona's apartment very much it is clean, nice, confy and homely. Here you will find everything you need including WiFi and very nice music CD collection for your evenings at home with a glass of italian wine. Nearby you will find several good cafes, restaurants, bars... Simona will kindly leave you very detailed plan, how to find it. We had a very nice time in Rome and really appreciateв Simona's hospitality and her wonderful apartment!
