We have a loft in Brooklyn that is a 15 minute subway ride to Union Square from the Morgan stop on the L train. The train stop is only a block and a half away, about 4 min walk. We are located in a quickly growing industrial/artist neighborhood. There is an amazing brick oven pizza restaurant down the street as well as several bars, coffee shops, organic food stores, wine shops, and galleries. Our area is really fun and there is always something going on. We also have a big fluffy cat who will demand attention and love.
We have a fully stocked kitchen, a dinning/living room , several shelves of books, a big soft velvet couch, a full wall of windows with a lot of light. We do not have a television, but we do have a projector and screen for movies as well as a stereo system. Your room is a large, fully furnished space with a sleep loft, dresser and mirror, a place for hanging clothes, a desk and chair, plenty of light, and a fluffy wool rug. You are welcome to use the kitchen and hang out in the living room and even play the piano as much as you want!
You will probably see us around the living room at night doing our homework.
* My husband and I live in this apartment too. You are renting out a private room, not the whole apartment. However, we warn you that it is a loft, and if you have ever stayed in one you'll know that it is not completely private and our rooms are in close proximity to one another. If you are a couple looking for lots of alone time with full sound tight privacy, we recommend a hotel or a sound-proofed apartment. Also, our building is full of young weekend warriors who work hard during the week and sometimes party hard on the weekend. It is completely quite and relaxed during the weekdays, but it can get noisy on the weekends. Because of this, we want to warn any families or older individuals who are considering our place. We believe our space is best suited for friends, single persons, or any friendly individuals who like getting to meet and stay with new people.*
**About the sleeping arrangement: there is one full sized bed, and you have the option of the twin sized fold-out bed. So if you have three people staying, two have to sleep together in the full sized bed and one gets the fold-out. There are not three beds, and the room can get pretty tight with three people. So we would only recommend it for three close friends with a small amount of baggage.**
***Minimum stay is 3 days, but if you see in our calendar two free days between other booked days then please contact us and we will let you book the room for those two days.***
ABOUT SECURITY DEPOSIT: Recently we decided to start charging security deposit because at times guests have damaged our things, like hair die all over new sheets, broken expensive glasses, taken international charger or excessive mess left behind. We don't charge cleaning fee, expecting the room will be left the way it was found. But when the room left too dirty we will charge 20 to 40 dollars depending on how bad it was.
Thank You! Talk to you soon!

We loved our stay with Liliya and Michael, and will definitely recommend their place to others. Their loft is a very funky fit out in a unique and hipster area and had everything we needed. Just a 2 minute walk to the metro line was SO helpful with many cafes, restaurants and shops all within close walking distance.
Liliya and Michael themselves were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with them throughout our stay and getting to know them. They have developed a personalised guide to the 'Bushwick area' - outlining nearby shops, cafes, restaurants, the metro, laundromats, amenities and other tips including several maps…the 'bible' of local knowledge to Bushwick!
Lastly, but most certainly not least - Mr Mud Puddles (the cat) is very charming and has an insane amount of character for a furry four legged friend!
Thanks so much Liliya and Michael, we loved it!
Liliya and Michael are wonderful hosts with a charming loft and a comfortable room. I slept on the loft bed and my 16 year old son slept on the fold out couch/bed. I appreciate an Airbnb that sleeps two and is not only for couples! The subway is very close and easy to get into Manhattan and the Bushwick neighborhood is interesting. Also, if you are driving there is ample free street parking.
Awesome stay! Liliya and Michael are awesome and accommodating hosts, not to mention fun. The location is right in the middle of a hip up and coming neighborhood but still only steps away from the subway to get you where you need to go. Absolutely no complaints here.
Liliya and Michael are very good hosts. Their apartment is clean (even in spite they have a cat), cosy and very well decorated. It's located 15 minutes from downtown and there are several nice places to visit nearby (like amazing sushi place right around the corner). I can definitely recommend to stay there :)
My friends and I really enjoyed staying at Liliya's wonderful apartment. We will never forget our trip to NYC. Thank you very much!
Well everything is as described, sunny place, nice area, friendly young couple, noisy and no privacy at all.The only thing that is not mentioned is that the place is dirty, according to my standard any way, everytime I have guest and for my own comfort too I clean the toilets, bathtab and fridge.
Your daughter arrived when Michael was cleaning the bathtub and toilets, she could confirm that he did. I saw him cleaning the fridge. He cleaned everything very well, I apologize if it wasn't well enough for you. It is an old building and it is a rental. We always clean the guest room and change sheets before a guest arrives. And we have a shoes off policy so that the floors stay clean. We were very busy with school at the end of the semester so it is possible that we were a little slack on our cleanliness.
My friends and I had a great long stay at Liliya and Michael’s loft.
They were fantastic hosts. They provided us with great information on local spots for food , drinks and a variety of amenities. We entertained ourselves in long and interesting conversation and funny dinners together with some of their friends (all interesting people!)
The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect!!! Just a couple of minutes to the subway station and less than 15 minutes ride to Union Square.
My friends and I really enjoyed the loft, the area, but most of all we felt lucky we met two wonderful person as Liliya and Michael , who we now consider dear friends.
Lilliya & Michael are very nice people. We haven’t spent much time with them because we had only four day to see NY. But when we came back in the evening they always asked us what we had done. They have recommended us about very good and beautifull restaurants near the place and have given us an useful map of the neighbourhood. Williamsburg is wonderful, we haven’t seen tourists, you can live like a New Yorker :-).
The appartment is very beautiful and the light in the morning creates a nice atmosphere. The bathroom was little bit dirty but there is all that you need. Thank you very much Lilliya & Michael
I (Ole 61) and my daughter (Karen 23) stayed with Liliya for tens days in October and it was a very fine experience. We had a nice room with two beds at different levels and the hosts were very kind. For example when we contacted Liliya she wrote back in order to secure that we had read the discription of the place carefully. And the staying was even better than the description thus the 5 stars.
It is a very fine neighbourhood. A little bit like Friederichhain or Neuköln in Berlin or Outer Nørrebro in Copenhagen. An old industrial area in a transition process Nice restaurants, coffee shops and bagel places. Their is a fine view to Manhattan from the roof and it is very easy to travel from the appartment to Manhattan and other places.
If privacy is very important and if you don't like noise it might not be the right place for you. But I will strongly recommend the place to my students and to most of my friends. It is a very good idea to read the description caryfully and it you like what you see you will find it a very nice place
Lilliya & Michael were great hosts and Mr. Puddles was also very welcoming. The area of Brooklyn was chill, not too many awesome places in walking distance but some decent local bars and restaurants were t stay up late making noise due to thin shared wall with hosts.
