We live in a beautiful loft in Brooklyn that is a 15 minute subway ride to Union Square from the Morgan stop on the L train.
IMPORTANT: If you are staying for FOUR or MORE nights I will TAKE DOWN THE CLEANING FEE.
We have a fully stocked kitchen, a dinning/living room , several shelves of books, a big soft velvet couch, a full wall of windows with a lot of light. We do not have a television. Your room is a large, fully furnished space with a sleep loft, dresser and mirror, a place for hanging clothes, a desk and chair, plenty of light. You are welcome to use the kitchen and hang out in the living room.
You will probably see us around the living room at night doing our homework.
We have a big fluffy cat who will demand attention and love.
We provide towels, sheets and even hair drier!
* My husband and I live in this apartment too. You are renting out a private room, not the whole apartment. However, we warn you that it is a loft, and if you have ever stayed in one you'll know that it is not completely private and our rooms are in close proximity to one another. If you are a couple looking for lots of alone time with full sound tight privacy, we recommend a hotel or a sound-proofed apartment. Also, our building is full of young weekend warriors who work hard during the week and sometimes party hard on the weekend. It is completely quite and relaxed during the weekdays, but it can get noisy on the weekends. Because of this, we want to warn any families or older individuals who are considering our place. We believe our space is best suited for friends, single persons, or any friendly individuals who like getting to meet and stay with new people.*
**About the sleeping arrangement: there is one full sized bed, and you have the option of the twin sized fold-out bed. So if you have three people staying, two have to sleep together in the full sized bed and one gets the fold-out. There are not three beds, and the room can get pretty tight with three people. So we would only recommend it for three close friends with a small amount of baggage.**
ABOUT SECURITY DEPOSIT: Recently we decided to start charging security deposit because at times guests have damaged our things, like hair die all over new sheets, broken expensive glasses, taken international charger or excessive mess left behind.
Thank You! Talk to you soon!
Liliya & Michael
Beyond the bedroom, guests can use the kitchen, refrigerator, living room and dining area, and of course the bathroom. The roof is open as well. There are also plenty of books around that you can look at and read.
Interaction with Guests
We are always open to answering any questions that guests may have about the city or the area. Also, we are usually down with having a drink or two together and getting to know each other. However, we do work a lot from home as we are freelancers, so there are times that we are in our office area being antisocial.
We are located in a quickly growing industrial/artist neighborhood. There is an amazing brick oven pizza restaurant down the street as well as several bars, coffee shops, organic food stores, wine shops, and galleries. Our area is really fun and there is always something going on.
The train stop is only a block and a half away, about 4 min walk. Morgan station on the L train.
Other Things to Note
If you are staying for four or more nights I will take down the cleaning fee. I will send you special offer where I subtract $20 cleaning fee.
Shoes off (we wash the floors). No smoking, you can go smoke on the roof, we live on the top floor; use non-metal utensils when using our expensive pans; clean your dishes. And, it's not really a rule, but try to turn the water and light off when you are not using it, it's common eco-friendly sense.
No heavy cologne or perfume please, really hard to get the smell out of blankets.
I had a very good experience at Michael and Liliya's place. The loft is lovely and both hosts were very nice. As described, the Morgan station is very close and convenient.
The location of Liliya und Michael was very nice place to stay. They were great hosts and they were very friendly and helpful giving me good tipps to explore New York. Thanks
We had a lovely time staying at Michael and Liliya's loft. Michael and Liliya were super helpful and friendly, and they recommended us lots of places to see. The room and the loft are just amazingly cozy and the location is convenient for travelling around the city. Mr Mud Puddles is just the cuddliest cat ever! Would definitely recommend staying here for your visit to New York.
It is a beautiful house and Michael was very kind. He would like to offer every info you want to know. There is a L line near the house and it took only a few minutes to walk. However, it is a little far away from the center of NY. And the only problem is that you may not have enough hot water to take a bath. In all, it is a good experience to live there.
Nice loft, well furnished and equiped. Beautiful windows wall, amazing with the light. The room is totally big enough for three, it is cosy and with many space to put your clothes. We slept well, and Mr Puddle, who is the loveliest/cutest/nicest cat ever, kept us warm at night :)
The flat was very cosy and we enjoyed being able to cook a nice breakfast every morning.
The neighborhood is okay, it isn't yet as cool west Williamsburg, but however we enjoyed our stay.
Lilia always answered quickly to the emails which was really great. Thank you guys for this nice first experience in NY!
Liliya & Michael live in a bright and sunny loft in a very cool Brooklyn neighbourhood - just 5 min walk to the subway.
The bedroom is cosy and clean.
Liliya and Michael were very sweet & helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time in Brooklyn!
Liliya and Michael (and the cats!) were great hosts -- very helpful, friendly, and with good recommendations for the neighbourhood. The room was comfortable and unique, and the apartment on a whole a great Bushwick experience! Thanks!

My husband and I live in East Williamsburg, this is one of the "real" parts of New York. We are recent graduates, and now freelancing on various jobs like most New Yorkers do. We are both in the art field. I speak Russian and a little Spanish. Michael is true American, only english ;-)
We love our place and put a lot of work making it beautiful and cozy. I hope you like it too. It's not a hotel, so please no high maintenance people here. Everybody else we welcome! and we were lucky to meet many interesting kind solid travelers.
