The Space

PLEASE NOTE-In order to accommodate you or your group appropriately, we will need additional information. For example, your group may not fit in one room, you may wish to occupy more than one room or a level of the home.

Charges vary by number of persons, space, room/s, weekends/special holidays or events and length of stay.

(Longer stays of 2 weeks or more are Welcome!)

My apologies but it is difficult to address each and every possibility we can provide so the site calculator and/or calendar will NOT be correct.

Please verify availability and rates with the host prior to booking.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance in providing you a memorable vacation and stay.

This home has 4 levels, 3 separate apartments, multiple rooms and a variety of accommodations available for different budgets and needs along with a full size bathroom on each level for our guests comfort and convenience.

As hosts, we typically remain on the property full time and operate as a hostel and/or dormitory style environment. The entire home is not typically available March thru October when we cannot tear ourselves away from this amazing city!

We welcome you to respectfully enjoy our home as if it were your own, with access to the living areas, decks, eat in kitchens, etc.

Great location to spend time with family and friends in Chicago. One of the most notable and desirable neighborhoods, Lakeview. Just a short walk to Wrigley Field and nestled between the 24/7 Red and Brown line train Addison "EL" stops makes this an ideal location to call home base when visiting the city and local attractions.

The speedy train will have you to the steps of all area sites within minutes; such as Magnificient Mile for the shoppers, Museum Campus for those who wish to explore the Shedd Aquarium, Field and Science and Planetarium. Or if your wish is to wander Navy Pier or take in the beauty of Lake Shore Drive and the miles of lakefront bike paths, this is it.

Our clean, safe home is nestled conveniently between the 24/7 Red line and Brown line Addison train stops. The #9 (North and South) and the #152 (East and West) bus stops are at each end of our block.

Wrigley Field is just a short walk from our home and Cubs fans enjoy free parking as our guest for game nites.

After dark when the "Loop" and downtown sites are desolate, enjoy the uniqueness of one of the best North side neighborhoods, Lakeview. Experience great restaurants, a plethora of bars, shop at our local stores all within walking distance at nearby Lincoln Avenue and Wrigleyville. Just 2 blocks away, check out the up and coming Southport Corridor and Music Box Theater.

Share this convenient space with fellow travelers like yourself. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast to get your day started while hearing about other guests journeys. Wind down at the end of a long day of site seeing on one of 3 outdoor decks. Learn about where fellow travelers are from and where they are headed. Enjoy impromptu s'mores in the fire pit or a glass of wine with other guests and hosts.

This is an incredibly spacious place for a city dwelling! Great eat in kitchen, wonderful gas burning fireplace for those cold chilly evenings and enormous decks to enjoy the fresh air and sun as well as an amazing view of the city Skyline.

We've got it all! Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Jewel Osco are just a couple of blocks. We provide Wifi, cable TV, parking, etc. We love hosting out of town guests and ensuring they have a great experience. We realize you are either on vacation or here for business and want you to feel right at home. Whatever we can do to make this a memorable trip, please let us know.

The Bean, Millenium Park, Grant Park, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park and the free Zoo all easy trips as are neighborhoods like Old Town for a visit to Second City, great restaurants and nightlife or trendy Bucktown and Wicker Park for shopping or food tours . Nearby DePaul and Loyola make this a great stay for parent visits or temporary housing for college students. Interested in historic architecture? Or is your passion food?

Sleep peacefully-we are close enough to the "EL" for convenience but far enough that it is a distant if unnoticeable (website hidden) soundly in a comy raised air mattresses for the single traveler (email hidden) or if traveling with a friend we can make it two! We love hosting out of town guests and ensuring they have a great experience. We realize you are either on vacation or here for business and want you to feel right at home. Whatever we can do to make this a memorable trip, please let us know.

Great way to "live like a local" while exploring the city.

Be our guests! Be our guests! Be our guests:)

*Smoking is permitted on the rear deck only!!

**Parking-this neighborhood has free non permitted parking which is relatively available except during Cubs games. We provide free parking passes for our guests on game nites. If you would like an in and out covered parking space, we do have one available for $25 per day which is a reasonable price for this City. The parking for hotels is anywhere between $25 to $50 per day minimally.

  • Chris and Stephanie are amazing hosts who made sure we felt welcomed in their home. They are friendly (and they have a cute dog!) and will help you get a sense of what is out there to do in Chicago and how to get there/the best times to go, etc. I highly recommend staying with them on your next trip to the Windy City!

    Response from Chris And Stephanie:

Courtney and Will were guests who took the last 2 possible spots we had available on an extremely busy weekend-one of which was a loft bed we built the nite before:) We were so lucky to be their hosts. Sadly for him, Will had a ton of work to do, so he spent alot of time in front of his laptop at the kitchen table. Each time I ran into either Will or Courtney, during my constant cleaning they had huge smiles, great stories about their discoveries in Chicago, terrific discussions with other guests about their travels and even invited other guests along to check out more of the city. Ideal guests in every way:)

Please note-Our cute small dog, Penny, lives in only one apartment of our home so the other complete separate apartments of our home can be reserved by those with allergies, fears or simply an aversion to pets:)

  • Stephanie and Chris really are very good hosts and would definitely recommend them.
They guided us very well to reach their place and also welcomed us with ''penny'' (thier cute dog) :-)
Stephanie helped us also to find the parking spot and explained the restrictions around the blocks for parking.

We had a good breakfast and a nice long chat with both of them.
Was a very pleasant stay and would definitely go back to their place if we visit Chicago again.
    Thanks Stephanie & Chris.

    regards,
    Mohan

    Response from Chris And Stephanie:

Mohan, his wife and friend, Jairaj were our guests for only one nite. They are the true reason we love airbnb. Only here for one nite, the walked in as our welcomed guests and left as friends. We could receive no greater compliments than ooh's and ahh's when people enter our home and say it is more than expected and when leaving make arrangements for their return visit. Looking forward to a repeat visit!

  • Staying with Chris and Stephanie was everything we were hoping for on our New Years Eve trip to Chicago. They were present, accommodating and extremely kind. Upon arrival, Chris greeted us and gave us a tour along with Stephanie as well as answer all questions we had about the city. We visited a friend who lives a few blocks from their home so the convenience was a huge benefit for us, as well as the close parking that was available. The ease of walking to Wrigleyville and the L were great for all the touristy things we wanted to do, being that it was my first time visiting Chicago. Everything was ready for us when we arrived as they state, including bagels in the fridge, clean towels, shampoo, dishes, etc. Over our 4 day/3 night trip, we generally were out and about and were only at the apartment during the evening. We truly enjoyed the city and having (email hidden) to come back to each night made the trip even better. We hope to come back to Chicago and will absolutely look to Chris and Stephanie first when we do!

  • Chris was out of town during our stay, but Stephanie (email hidden)! It was my first time in Chicago and she made me feel more at ease when she told me all the train stops for all the restaurants/museums/shows that I wanted to go to. Also, we didn't get in till 2am, but Stephanie stayed up to greet us and show us around the house. Overall, we loved our stay :) Thank you!

  • Our stay in Chicago was awesome! Cris & Stephanie are the perfect hosts. They were very friendly and tried always to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room, the bathroom and everything else was very nice and clean! If I'll come back to Chicago, I'll definitely (email hidden) again!

  • Stephanie (email hidden) for my group of eight. Her home is beautiful and has that awesome quirky Chicago vibe. She was incredibly flexible on our arrival time as we got stuck in Chicago traffic, and graciously showed us around the house. The neighborhood is close to plenty of food options, and parking was easy. The full kitchen and fridge were wonderful. Be sure to let all your group members know the right address to go to (which Steph provides after booking), as the one listed online is not right.

  • We were a group of 7 students coming to Chicago for the week-end. Stephanie was very helpful and the apartment was located in really nice neighbourhood close to downtown.

Thanks to Stephanie & Cris, we had a really good time in Chicago

  • Cris and Stephanie are wonderful. Besides the bedroom and bathroom, they provided lots of stuff for us, closet, kitchen, breafast, shanmpoo, body wash, sofa and TV, trying to make us comfortable. The house is near brown line station, which is really important. Also, the rent is reasonable. So, if you are looking for a place to stay in Chicago, this is one of the best choices. If i come back again, i definitely will live in their house.

  • Cris and Stephanie are amazing. Even though I booked the accommodation the night before they opened their doors to me while I was in town for a job interview. They gave me alot of helpful and insightful information about the surrounding areas and neighborhoods in Chicago where I am looking to call home one day. We also had dinner at a local restaurant that was featured on Best of Chicago TV show. All in all I would recommend anyone that is visiting the Chicago area to meet these fantastic people and allow them to be your host. Thanks again Cris and Stephanie for making my experience a great one.

About
Hello Fellow Traveler! We welcome you to our Airbnb listing and appreciate that you wish to learn more about us as your potential hosts. We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to sharing with you what we love about Chicago:) Why have we opened our home? We arrived about 3 summers ago for a 3 day business trip, fell in love with Chicago and never left. This is our 3rd summer! Since we are both adventurous spirits, with some trepidation, we tried this thing called "AirBNB". We had such a great experience because of our host; we thought we would pay it forward. What has been our favorite experience hosting so far? Lollapalooza:) Who are we? Chris and I met in High School and reconnected on the site that begins with Face and ends with Book a couple of years ago. We think we have quite the love story that resulted in a proposal a few years back and would be happy to share it with you on one of your relaxing evenings on our deck or over a cup coffee while you are sorting out your travels for the day-but we promise not to bore you with it! What are we doing here? After we reunited, we had the amazing opportunity to become Environmental Stewards for a wonderful company that brought us to Chicago. One of our company's core values is to stimulate the local economy, find other Environmental Stewards like ourselves and train them for leadership roles. (Another great story if you are out of sorts from your trip and can't sleep one nite-and of course care to hear it:) ) What we think about ourselves as hosts? We pride ourselves in being open and available hosts for a chat, a recommendation, throwing darts, a game of scrabble or an impromptu cook out or s'mores on the fire pit but we also completely respect your privacy and understand this is your trip. We only wish to ensure your travels are more than you would have hoped for thru spending time at our home and meeting other guests. Where have we been? Chris is an Army Brat and has lived all over the States and I have traveled around Europe while living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years. Places Chris has lived: He spent his youth in San Antonio, Hawaii, Denver, Colorado Springs and Maryland (the DC area). As an adult, he lived in Kansas City for a bit, he settled for many years in Norman, Oklahoma (if you've heard of it), Dallas/Ft. Worth, back to Maryland (to get me;)) and now Chicago. Places Chris has traveled to: Boston and other parts of Massachusetts in which he has tons of family and for our business, all over New Jersey (our company has a HUGE presence there and helped tremendously with the Hurricane Sandy clean up), many parts of PA (we really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh), Philly a few times (best sandwiches we have found yet!) and many more. Stephanie lived most of her life in the Maryland area traveling for work in the DC and Virginia areas but joining her friends on their business trips in the States to visit as many cities as possible. Of course, the fun-damentals like Las Vegas, Miami Beach (along with many other Florida cities that my family lives such as Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville) and NYC. More relaxing fun in Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC (where my mom has retired), Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ (where my brother used to live), San Diego and Coronado (a couple of times since they are some of my favorite), Hawaii (to see the first grandchild in our family), L.A. (had the opportunity to cruise Monterey's 17 mile drive)... Stephanie's European Travels: Of course many of the big cities like Paris (the food!), Munich (best airport ever!), Frankfurt, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Bilbao, Gothenburg, Sweden (for a dear friends wedding), but also some off of the beaten path that became my very favorite memories like Morocco, Tunisia and more.... Places we will go: Brazil, Fiji, South America, Canada....
