My 1,000 square foot, railroad-style apartment is quintessential Brooklyn. On the second floor of a walk-up, just above a writer's workshop, it's clean, warm and comfortable. The neighborhood is fantastic and just 3 subway stops from Manhattan.

The apartment is located in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, which is consistently rated one of the top areas to live in New York City. It has become trendy as of late because it is safe, beautiful and conveniently located (only 3 subways stops outside Manhattan) with tons of great restaurants, bars and stores. A movie theater across the street plays all the best films and the Chocolate Room next door will make your mouth water.
The subway stop is a quick 4 blocks away and there are plenty of taxis and buses in the area, not to mention Uber.
Other Things to Note
I'm a friendly and reasonable 40-something man working in the film and TV industry. If you are friendly and reasonable too, we'll be in good shape.
Please be responsible, clean and respectful of the apartment and neighbors. Keep television and music at a reasonable level. No smoking or pets. Must notify me of any broken devices or items in the space.
Sean has been a great host, easy to get in contact with, and his detailed instructions made everything simple to deal with in the apartment. It is a cozy place that fit the description, a bit noisy in the mornings because of deliveries to the stores in street level. At the same time very convenient to have a food market nearby. The area is great for restaurants and Sean was very generous providing good suggestions for the right places to go.
Recently in town on business and stayed at Sean's place in Cobble Hill. Great neighborhood and fantastic host. Sean went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and easy. Highly recommended for anyone visiting NYC.
We have stayed in many airbnb properties and Sean was by far the most caring host. He met us upon arrival and showed us around his wonderful apartment. In addition, he gave us written instructions about everything since he was going out of town during our stay. His apartment is very large, comfortable, nicely furnished with two TV's including premium channels. It's ideally located in Cobble Hill--next to the best gourmet grocery store, across from the best movie theater and very near the subway. All these facts make his place an outstanding place to stay but what's more special was Sean's concern for our well-being during our stay. We were there during record-breaking cold weather. Although Sean was out of town, he called to make sure we were warm enough! That's above and beyond all expectations of hospitality. We want to stay with Sean every time we return to visit our family.
Sean was a fantastic host! My mother stayed in his apartment for a week while visiting me in Brooklyn, and Sean was incredibly accommodating, making sure she had everything she needed and felt comfortable in the apartment. He was away for the week but was available if we had any questions. The apartment itself was also wonderful - beautifully decorated, clean and conveniently located in prime Cobble Hill. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
I booked Sean's apartment for an artist my company flew in for work -- and she has provided me with only positive feedback! The apartment was in a great neighborhood and very clean. She even gave extra kudos for how comfortable the bed was!
Sean is a great host! He was great with communication and very accommodating to our guest.
We spent around three weeks in this apartment which is three blocks away from our daughter's apartment, We were there to welcome our new granddaughter into the world and console her 28 month older brother. The location is not only conveniently located for us but is in the middle of a completely charming Brooklyn neighborhood complete with a fabulous gourmet market on one side and an excellent drop-off laundry and dry cleaner on the other. Shops and wonderful restaurants and bars, a movie theater and a cafe that only serves chocolate are also on the block. The apartment is on the second floor of a brownstone in a neighborhood of brownstones and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Sean, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to staying there soon again!
