My 1,000 square foot, railroad-style apartment is quintessential Brooklyn. On the second floor of a walk-up, just above a writer's workshop, it's clean, warm and comfortable. The neighborhood is fantastic and just 3 subway stops from Manhattan.
The apartment is a long "railroad-style" unit (1,000 square feet) with a bedroom, office area, living room, kitchen and bathroom. It has heat, air conditioning, cable (with HBO), Netflix and wireless internet throughout.
Guests have access to the entire apartment.

This nice and spacious apartment is located in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, which was recently rated the #4 best area to live in New York City by New York Magazine. It has become trendy as of late because it's safe, beautiful and conveniently located (only 3 subways stops outside Manhattan) with tons of great restaurants, bars and stores. A great movie theater across the street plays the best films and the Chocolate Room next door will make your mouth water.
The subway stop is a quick 4 blocks away and there are plenty of taxis and buses in the area.
I'm a friendly and reasonable 40-something man working in the film and TV industry. If you are friendly and reasonable too, we'll be in good shape.
My boyfriend, two-year old daughter and I stayed a week at Sean's apartment in April 2014. The apartment was clean, neat and in a great location for all the restaurants and cafes of Cobble Hill. Access to Manhattan and other Brooklyn neighborhoods is fairly quick and easy with several subway lines nearby (or the ferry - though it's a 25 min walk away).
Sean was approachable and helpful throughout our stay. We especially appreciated that he'd cleared plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for us - something we've missed in other Airbnb places.
The only issue for us was that the radiator in the living room couldn't be regulated which meant that the apartment was quite hot. With a two-year old it wasn't possible to leave the windows fully open, which otherwise would have helped. Apart from that it was all great and we're happy to recommend Sean's place.
I booked Sean's apartment for my parents. It was their first time in New York and they loved everything about Sean's place; from the location to the decoration. Sean was always very thoughtful and responsive in our communication. Everything was exactly like he described or better. I can only thank him for this great deal!
Sean's apartment was comfortable and handily located. We felt right at home. Only downside was the bedroom overlooking Court St can be a bit noisy. I could sleep through, but my wife used ear plugs.
Overall, worked great for us.
Sean was super quick on communications. I'd hardly sent a text and he was right back.
Sean's apartment is great- roomy, CLEAN, great location, my assistant from Italy was very content in his place for her three week stay. Sean was very helpful in setting her up for her stay, and was easy to contact/quick to respond. We look forward to hopefully renting his place again on her next work trip to NYC!
