We've been in Nicola's apartment with 4 (2 couples) and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very spacious, clean, well furnitured and there's everything you may need. Nicola is a great host. Though we arrived late in the evening he was waiting and even helped at once to get some pizza that late - grazie mille, Nicola!
We really loved our stay aside the touristic center with everything around: supermarket and other shops nearby, a bar on the other side, busstop in front of the house. Parking our car was no problem on the parking area not far away (museo del calzio). So all in all a perfect stay in Florence. Highly recommended!
We just finished a 6 night stay at Nicola's apartment in Florence. It is very spacious and comfortable as others have said. Two in our party are gluten free eaters and he had stocked the kitchen with some staples for them. My favorite thing about this apartment was its location. I loved that the location was not in a touristed area, so you got the experience of what it is really like to live in Florence! Grocery store and fresh vegetable stand are very close. We really enjoyed taking the bus into the center. Upon our departure, Nicola called a taxi for us. You couldn't pick a better, more affordable apartment in Florence.
I went to Florence with a group of friends (6 people altogether).
We stayed at Nicola's apartment. It was really great - very spacious, bright, fully equiped and well furnitured. The kitchen also got everything you may need.
There's a supermarket not far away (7-10 min walking) and the bus stop just in a minute walk from the house, so you easily can go to the railway station or to the center.
Nicola was very helpful, he gave us all the useful info about the nice places to visit and activities at the city.
We're really glad that we chose to stay at Nicola's apartment.
I strongly recommend everybody to visit Nicola, if you're going to stay in Florence.
Nicola is a fantasic host with a good sense of service and guidance. He is available for you all the time for advise and help.
The apartment was nice and very spacious. There was a lot of space in the living room and even with the 2 other bedrooms locked it still felt big. Though the apartment may be a bit far it is near a bus stop that you can take into the city.
Nicola was a wonderful host. He gave excellent directions but we didn't get off the stop that he had mentioned. We were one stop short. While we were walking to his apt. I saw him coming down the street to meet us. He helped with our luggage and showed us everything in the apartment. The apartment is beautiful. Lots of room, there were 4 of us and we never felt cramped. Nicola also came by before we left to say goodbye to us. We really enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to recommend his place.
My family (two girls 3 and 5, Wife, and me) just spent a short holiday in Nicola's apartment in Florence. The apartment is VERY big. Even though from the outside the building does not look like much, once inside it is very nice. The apartment has pretty much everything you might need and is very clean and proper, Also we were provided all the basics: extra blankets for everyone, towels, coffee, sugar, oil, toilet paper, without even asking for it. All of the appliances and internet worked correctly.
While the location is a little bit away from the center (15-20 minute bus ride, no changing buses necessary) there are buses fairly often, the bus stop is right outside. There is a very complete supermarket nearby, a "Bar" (coffee shop) in front, and even a small "Osteria" in the same building. For us this worked perfectly us, as it allowed us to get away from craziness of the excessively touristic center.
Nicola and his wife were great hosts, they were expecting us on time (although we were late!) They even explained where we could park our car for free during our stay (Museo del Calzio about 10 min walk from the apt) and promptly answered all of our questions and had for us a very handy map with the location of everything we needed.
In short, we had a great time in this apartment and Nicola and his wife were great hosts. Thank you Nicola!
Nicola was a perfect host! He met us at the apartment and let us in after providing excellent directions. The apartment is located outside of the city center , but there's a bus right outside on the street. Just a warning that we stayed fri-mon and most things were closed around the neighborhood during the weekend. We did find some restaurants close by that ended up being some of our favorite meals of the trip! Thanks Nicola!
The Apartment is great, we spent there 10 wonderful nights! The house is very quiet, the apartment is extremely cool and fits the needs of two people with no difficulties. Nicola is a prefect host, very helpful and good in english. He had very cool tips for restaurants, museums and other places worth to see. The center of Florence is only a short ride by bus (it took us only 20 minutes to get to the main station which is in heart of Florence). We felt very much at this truly awesome apartment after hard day of walking through the city. We would love to come back as soon as possible! I highly recommend this place for everyone. Good luck Nicola!
Nicola was an excellent host. He met us outside the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know inside. He was very prompt if we needed to contact him and his place was very clean. He gave us all the information we needed for bus routes and restaurants nearby, you could tell he worked hard to be a good host!
