We are a mixed couple (Italian/Lebanese-Swedish) that are renting out the living room of our luxurious 19th Century apartment in the middle of Paris (edge of the Marais). The room we are renting out is spacious and comes with a very comfortable sofa-bed (kingsize bed) and an open fireplace. We do not use it when we have people in. • Staying at Nancy and Massimo's place was absolutely amazing! I was so glad that I chose their home to be my first Airbnb destination. Nancy was away and her husband Massimo greeted me along my three-night stay. When I arrived, everything was ready, maps, travel guides on the table, the room was very clean, the bed and sofa were extremely comfy, bathroom couldn't be was exactly the same as what I expected! Eggs, yogurt in the fridge and fresh breakfast every morning! I love two French windows and Juliet balconies especially, it just felt so Parisian! As a guest, I feel very welcomed and respected. Massimo is very helpful as well, very responsive and recommended me a local restaurant which does very good French food! Thank you for giving me such a fantastic Airbnb experience, highly recommend it!!

  • Nancy was away for work, but I met her husband Max and he was very hospitable and absolutely lovely to talk to. The apartment has all the modern facilities and it is fitted for those who love interior design. It is also very conveniently located, within walking distance to la marais. It does get noisey over the weekend night time, but nothing a pair of earplugs can't fix. There are plenty of supermarket, also two organic/ health food store around. Do try the restaurant L'cave around the corner. Highly recommended.

  • Nancy was abroad when my mom and I stayed at her place, but Massimo was there and he was fantastic! The room is spacious and so is the bed (we shared). It's also very comfortable. We wanted to save some money too, so Massimo was great with allowing us to make dinner every night in the place. Such a cost savings! Metro stop is right outside the building for line 9, so it's also incredibly easy to get around to all of the sites. Highly recommend!

  • J'ai eu un séjour magnifique chez Massimo et Nancy. Ils sont très sympha et toujours disponible pour des questions ou de tailler une bavette. L'appartement est très bel et bien équipé, parfait!

  • Staying at Massimo and Nancy's place was an absolute delight! The living room is exactly as lovely as it looks in the pictures. Also the bed is very comfortable. There are beautiful wooden floors and big Parisian windows. The area around the house is lively and cool and there is an excellent restaurant La Cave de I'insolite just around the corner. Unfortunately Nancy was away for work but she gave me excellent instructions beforehand on how to get to the house and Massimo was super helpful throughout my stay in their home.
You also get delicious Camembert cheese for breakfast amongst other things!

  • The apartment is very modern, kept very clean and was very light and spacious. The room was very large and I enjoyed sitting out on the very narrow balcony when the sun shone.

This flat is very central, the Saint Ambroise metro is right outside the door. I enjoyed going to the fresh food and clothing Market in Richard Lenoir but wasn't game to try the local Velib bike nearby. The apartment was a great choice for me. I enjoyed my time there and even planted a window box for fun. I slept like a top but if you were a light sleeper you may find it a little noisy which is to be expected when you live centrally in a large city.

I travelled directly from the bus terminal above Gare du Nord on Bus 46 towards Chateau St Vincennes and got off at St Ambroise and walked down hill to Boulevarde Voltaire, this saved me carrying my case up and down steps in the metro. I left Paris from Gare de l'Est and so caught the 56 bus which left from Bvd Voltaire and dropped me directly out the front of the station.
Nancy has left her wonderful "three in one" book on Paris, which details all bus routes , all metro routes and a street map for each district. A wonderful resource. Many thanks for that Nancy.
This appartment is centrally situated and very well equipped.
It is wonderfully designed to make the most of the space and light available. Just sorry that I did not have time to read some of the many interesting books there.
I also did a web search for Brocante and found a wonderful Trash and Treasure , something like a car boot sale of second hand goods, market on Rue Parmentier one week end which was great fun.

There was fast and efficient reliable internet connection. Really appreciated that facility. Did find operating the washing machine/dryer with its French wording was a challenge for me.Luckily Elisa helped me sort it out.

Be aware that when you buy an Orange SIM card, you must validate it before you can use it, you can do this immediately if you buy it from a large Orange store otherwise you have to post off the application and it may take a day or two to work.

I was very happy that I chose this apartment which is within walking distance of so many interesting places. Joy

  • My friend and I just recently returned from our stay at Nancy and Max's fantastic home. Unfortunately, since Nancy was away we didn't get the chance to meet her in person, but Max was there to welcome us and ensure that we knew the ins-and-outs of the apartment. The apartment was exactly the kind of place we were looking to stay at for our short trip. It is situated in a residential location, and within short walking distance of two metro stations. The room was extremely spacious and the apartment was very clean. We would definitely stay here again for any future trips, and highly recommend this listing!

  • It was very good staying at Nancy's and Massimo's apartment. It is just as described on airbnb. We loved the location as the metro was just outside their door and travelling was much easier. Location is very pleasant and the apartment is beautiful inside. Nancy was very good in letting us use the kitchen everyday. The general cleanliness of the apartment is good and we had everything we need. Would definitely come back here for our next Paris visit.

My name is Nancy. I am originally lebanese but have been leaving in Sweden, Denmark and France for a very long time. I am maried with Massimo who is Italian. I am a lawyer working with human rights issues and Massimo is an architect. We both love design. We search for good food, good wine and good company. We are tango-dancers and we love traveling. Our last trip together was to Argentina. You will be sharing the apartment with us. It is a three rooms apartment and you will be staying in our living room. The room is independent and is close to the bathroom and kitchen. It is the biggest and nicest room we have. We don't use it when we have people in. When we do it is to share a meal or a glass of wine with you. I love to take care of people and make them feel home. We are very well acquainted with the city and can advise you on good local restaurants, wine cellars, design shops and food markets to ensure that you have a memorable stay.
