We are a mixed couple (Italian/Lebanese-Swedish) that are renting out the living room of our luxurious 19th Century apartment in the middle of Paris (edge of the Marais). The room we are renting out is spacious and comes with a very comfortable sofa-bed (kingsize bed) and an open fireplace. We do not use it when we have people in. There will be access to the bathroom and the kitchen.
The apartment was completely renovated in 2010 and is located, in Oberkampf, a fashionable area situated between République and Bastille.
Any direction you take from the apartment will lead you to a picturesque area such as Canal Saint Martin, Place des Vosges, le Marais, Père Lachaise, Hôtel de Ville, Centre Georges Pompidou. The metro station St. Ambroise (line 9) is on our doorstep and we are a 5 minute walk from Oberkampf or Richard Lenoir (line 5) and St Sébastien Froissart (line 8).
You will be sharing the apartment with us. We are very well acquainted with the city and can advise you on good local restaurants, wine cellars, design shops and food markets to ensure that you have a memorable stay.

Situated between Bastille and République, the apartment is right n the middle of the 11th arrondissement well known since "it is home to a recent explosion of hipster wine bars, delis, bistros, neo-bistros and restaurants hidden among the narrow passageways and quiet side streets.
All the places are buzzing with activity, casual, affordable and showcase artisanal beers, ciders & French natural wines by small producers" (source : (website hidden))
I would appreciate if you can take off your shoes when entering the appartement.
You can use the kitchen to cook. Smoking is only possible on the balcony.
Please do not put any wet towels on the chairs. You can hang them in the bathroom on the heather in order for them to get dry.
Official check in is 4 pm and check out is 13 a.m. But I will do my best to accommodate an early check in and a late check out.
Loved it! Wonderful, relaxing stay in this enchanting apartment with great hosts Nancy and Massimo who made me feel very welcome. The location is convenient for those who wants to use a metro, rental city bikes or move on foot, I didn't have any issues whatever time of day it was to get in or out of the area. Extremely convenient for Eurostar users as only few metro stops away from Gare Du Nord. Lots of nice bakeries, restaurants and shops around. The apartment itself is very clean and full of character, the room is big with large windows so very light and airy. Fantastic experience overall, will come back in a heartbeat!

We had a very lovely stay in Paris, and predominately due to the fact that we stayed at such an amazing place. It was absolutely stunning, the decor, the beautiful tall vintage ceilings, the balcony that brings the city of Parisian dreams to life, and for 2 girls a beautiful huge bathroom (very important). The room was very large and comfortable, the bed is a queen and comfortably fits 2. The flat contains an elevator which was a huge plus for us since we had large suitcases. There was also a metro right outside the apartment door! We are very happy and lucky we came across such a wonderful flat. Nancy and Massimo were wonderful hosts and were very helpful in giving us tips about great restaurants and places to see as well as helping us print our boarding passes and tickets for museums when our computer/tablets were giving us a problem. Thanks Nancy and Massimo!
Nancy's apartment is beautiful and in a fantastic neighborhood - close to bus and metro. Excellent healthy cafes, bakeries, open air market, close to parks and great street scenes filled with a diversity of people. Her apartment is filled with remarkable mid-century furnishings and is filled with natural light. Nancy's completely bilingual in French and English. Highly recommend this place to any Airbnb guest!

You will be sharing the apartment with us. It is a three rooms apartment and you will be staying in our living room. The room is independent and is close to the bathroom and kitchen. It is the biggest and nicest room we have. We don't use it when we have people in. When we do it is to share a meal or a glass of wine with you. I love to take care of people and make them feel home.
We are very well acquainted with the city and can advise you on good local restaurants, wine cellars, design shops and food markets to ensure that you have a memorable stay.
Favorite Wine bar close to our house. You can either buy a bottle or stay for a meal. Budget 25 to 30 euros per person for two courses with a bottle for the diner.Rue de la Folie Méricourt Paris Île-de-France 75011
Nice area, a bit too trendy for me. Le marche in itself is a food market. Good wine cellar and bento at the Japanese. Worth to seeRue de Bretagne Paris Île-de-France 75003
