Helpful Items to Bring:

Suggested supplies to bring:

* Towels for seasonal outdoor shower (shower is closed in cooler months, generally end of September), then you can wash up the old fashion way with a basin.
* Camping lamps/flashlight (Cabin does have a few lanterns as well)
* Your own towels for outdoor shower ( in summer), swimming, etc.
* Ice or ice packs for the cooler
* Slippers, or warm socks for colder weather…

* This cabin/tiny house , is for people that want a more off grid camp like experience...glamping style!

* There is a spring fed lake 5 minute drive up the road you can access, for swimming, kayaking, canoeing. Beautiful Vermont and the Adirondacks are within a reasonable driving distance, and so many other beautiful places!
There is a fairly decent signal for at verizon cell service, but varies. I do have internet up at my yurt, if needed, walk up.

NOTE: The tiny house is off the grid, please bring ice for cooler.

****COOL WEATHER NOTES****
This is a very rustic dwelling...Please bring warmer clothes, slippers, boots, as it can get cool, especially in the evenings. On a Sunny day, the cabin tiny house fills with warm sunlight...perfect spot to get all cozy, with blankets, in front of the wood fire.

***Using a wood stove. It could help if you looked up using wood stoves, to familiarize yourself with the process, also I will show you how to use it.
Only paper and kindling to start, or firestarter logs…no liquid fuel ever!!
*****PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING IN WINTER: Cabin/Tiny house can get chilly in the coldest of temps...please consider not booking if you are not prepared to deal with a rustic, minimally insulated, rustic dwelling in the winter!! Please check forecast...I do not control the weather, so please book accordingly.

Guest access

**The bathroom is a rustic, basic indoor compost toilet.

*** The outdoor shower is not in use during fall throughout winter. You can either wash up the old fashioned way (Basin, and heat up water),.

* In summer all essentials provided:
natural shampoos, soaps, but do appreciate your bringing your own towels. If you forget, just ask!

*** Please read through the house rules.

NOTE: The outdoir summer shower is a shared area with the other rentals on the property, or you can take a bucket style bath!
Enjoy the "back to nature" simplicity!
I do have a garden hose as well...

*** Cooler weather notes: Tiny house is insulated, but being a rustic camp, it is not like staying in a house...you need to tend to the fire in the wood stove to keep the warmth, and when the temps dip, the tiny house is for the more adventurous, who are looking for an experience to a simpler way of living... Please bring warm, weather appropriate clothes and boots/shoes, slippers, layers fir warmth.

Interaction with guests

I just love meeting all of the wonderful guests that I have been fortunate to share my tranquil, and lovely spot with!
If I am around, I would be more than happy to answer any questions, or give you ideas, and directions to places of interest.
Perhaps we can even share in a nice glass of wine! I do live on the property in a yurt as well. I am usually always accessible via text, or phone.
* I totally respect my guests privacy, and need for their "alone" time. Please understand that I do wander through the property, tending to my gardens, etc, but will only socialize with guests, if they so desire!

Other things to note

**A recent inquiry has inspired me to note: All walks of life, sexual orientation, and gender identities are warmly welcome and invited to stay, share, and enjoy this property... So yes, I am LGBT friendly, and so is my 5.25 acre property that you can freely enjoy, individually, or as a couple

* I live in a yurt on the property, as well as a few other cabin rentals...the property is over 5 acres, so each cabin has it's own private areas.
when parking, and walking to and from back cabin, please be mindful of other guests privacy and desire for a peaceful respite, as you walk past their cabin to yours...

** I do have 5 friendly cats that wander the property, and have been in the cabin (in case of allergies).

***Also, please don't be alarmed by the presence of flying or crawling pests, it is a rustic dwelling on a rural country property! (please know that field mice are a part of country living, there is no guarantee you will never spot one...harmless, but rural life is all about co-habitating with nature.

** I have a pull cart for your use, if needed, to carry your supplies from your car to the cabins.

** In the summer, there are plenty of fresh herbs, and mint everywhere for your use. In season, berries as well!

***A note about sunscreen.
There has been much in the news about the dangerous chemicals for humans as well as the environment/sea/water source.
Would be wonderful if you can use natural sunscreen, or none perhaps, if you plan on using the outdoor shower (again, it drains to the ground, near a stream)
Thanks so much for accommodating my desire to keep my property as pristine and natural as possible! As well as providing a safe habitat for wildlife, bees, etc.

My neighborhood is a quiet rural spot on a country dirt road with great, but barely ever seen neighbors. Out here everyone is busy tending to their property, be it farm animals, gardening, or just doing all the chores that are required living a rural life! If you listen you can hear the horse whinny at the landowner next door, or the sheep herd (baaa) in the back of the land! The area is teaming with wildlife. At night, the abundance of stars against the dark night sky, will amaze you! Fireflies magically illuminate the summer nights! And when it's the frogs mating season, which are abundant along the ponds edge, their chorus will sing you to sleep!
Great sunsets as well!
I love where I live, when there is something needed the neighbors are always ready and willing to lend a hand! And when we can we get together for some socializing, we all catch up on each others lives. Out here we respect each others privacy, but think nothing of walking up to each others door and saying hello, or asking for a hand.
