Large room with a door out to lower deck. Private bath, big screen TV, movies, wifi and cable TV. You will be given your own key so you can make your own hours.
This is a very nice room with air conditioning and additional space heater and electric blanket if needed. Bed is a firm queen sized bed and you can open the door from the room to a beautiful deck.
House is in a nice neighborhood just 15 minutes from downtown. In the summer you can use the neighborhood pool ($8 per adult and $6 per child) and free tennis courts..also has playground, picnic tables and fire pits.
Public transportation is about a mile away. Will probably need your own car unless you are OK to walk 1 mile to public transport. Close to Arboretum and Forest Park. Use of shared kitchen (with me).
Stay one night or several. Non-smoking household (inside or out) non-smokers only please. 2 people, 2 cats, a dog and a parrot live in the rest of the house, but will be out of your area unless you want to have cats sleep with you (they are willing :-))
Kitchen, deck, living room, etc.
There are flexible spaces within our hostess's home. During our busy week we enjoyed returning to the smaller bedroom with the gorgeous view; for a longer stay we might choose a larger one. Right now, we can't imagine staying anywhere else!
This was our first AirBnB experience and it was a wonderful one with host Julie Lewis. It was like staying at a friend's home. We started each morning with our coffee and morning chat, then we were off and about for the rest of the day and evening, and coming back each evening was welcoming as Julie's home is artfully decorated and tastefully designed. Julie's home was centrally located for all the things we wanted to do in the Portland area for the 8 days we stayed there. Highly recommend Julie's home for your stay, and we certainly will attempt to stay there again if we ever return to the area.
A very comfortable bed in a simple room with bath down the hall and a beautiful garden view from the deck accessible from our room. Julie is a warm and interesting person whom we enjoyed meeting. She provided us privacy, access, and all the linens, etc. needed for our short stay. The house can be tricky to find without a GPS. We highly recommend this for a quiet place to stay, with relatively easy access to the city.
We always value our stays at Julie's place, and this time was no exception. Thanks, Julie, for helping out once again!
All the best to you,
Chris and Yvonne
Julie's home is beautiful, comfortable and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You definitely need a car if you are staying at her home since it isn't very close to public transportation. We had a car and it was easy to get around. We drove to Beaverton and parked our car at the transit station so we could take the light rail into Portland. Our space was very private and comfortable. She was out of town during our stay and we were sorry not to meet her although she was very responsive by email to our questions.
For my first experience staying with someone instead of a hotel room was terrific and really enjoyed the company. Julie's place was wonderful and easy to locate with a wonderful view. I enjoyed her animals very much and her grey cat kept me company which really helped keep from being homesick and missing my cats and dog whom missed me very much. Her place was exactly as described and I highly recommend staying at her place. Oregon is a very beautiful state and would enjoy visiting again reminds me a lot of the mountains and TN.
Julie's place is wonderful - we had the entire downstairs area to ourselves and after waking up we enjoyed the spacious deck in the sunshine. Julie has been a lovely host, everything we could wish for was available, the house was spotless and we enjoyed the company of her cat very much. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood just outside of the downtown area of Portland and easy to reach by car. Definitely recommend staying with Julie - I just wish we could have stayed longer and also spend more time with her.
We had a wonderful stay at Julie's. The room was awesome and the view from the deck was outstanding. Julie is a very nice person, friendly and easy to talk to. We loved her animals, they are very sweet. We will stay there again on our next trip to Portland!
We had a wonderful time. The room was nicely decorated with a lot of great videos. We spent time on the deck that had a fantastic view below. Nest time we will, for sure, bring our dog to play with Julies little husky. Thanks so much. Barb.
Was very nice. The space was private, clean and very cozy. There was ample supply of dvds and board games would stay again in a heartbeat.
