We had paid extra charge for 3rd person, but additional amenity not prepared in advance. The room is ideally for couple, room size is big enough for 3 and exceed expectation as for HK. The room is a bit dark, not as new as shown on the picture. We did not have chance to see Alice, but her helper escort us to the flat. There has no travel book/guide/maps inside the room, so we have no any idea about surrounding. It helps if can at least list out the bus info. The location is good to experience the local life or visit HK University but no else. Two long stairs is really a problem even to our young people. On departure day, the male servant was very kind to help us carry luggage and call taxi. After all, we feel the host does not run the BNB business attentively truly. Perhaps my last stay in Japan was too well treated.
The reservation was canceled 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Alice's Kennedy Town flat for roughly a month when we first arrived in Hong Kong. We never actually met Alice, but her helper was really friendly and helped us out when we had issues. Alice was also available via email if we had any questions.
-Large, open, and bright layout (a rarity in Hong Kong)
-Quiet area with some greenery right outside the front door
-Lots of storage
-Large kitchen area w/ oven
-Multiple sets of large stairs to reach the flat from Kennedy Town
-Location may be inconvenient for some, esp. those wanting to stay around the more touristy areas (but there are plenty of buses around)
-Wifi was very slow, almost to the point of being unusable
-Shower always seemed to be either very cold or very hot
-Flat was shown to other potential tenants while we were there
All in all, we were thankful for Alice's hospitality.
Very pleasant and quiet place. It is a lot of greens and birds. Fine rest in the big city. A good transport environment. The convenient and big apartment, but is a lack of kitchen ware :)
Dear Alice, thank you for the flat and assistant of Carrie!
Alice was a great host. She met us at the ferry wharf when we arrived in Hong Kong and guided us to the apartment. The apartment was comfortable, clean, well equipped and located in a safe area on Hong Kong island, close to public trasport. It has a washer-dryer, adequate heating/cooling, kitchen with bare essentials and wi-fi that made our stay very comfortable. Alice gave us information on the different areas in Hong Kong and how to explore it using public transport, which was extremely helpful. A special mention to Alice's dog Teddy who is by far the friendliest dog I have met. Definitely recommend this place to people!
This is a very comfortable, well equipped, clean and spacious apartment. It is quiet and it is possible to sit outside and enjoy the sounds of birds. All the arrangements for my arrival and departure couldn't have gone more smoothly.
Alice was a most welcoming host who was anxious to know that her tenants were well cared for.
In two years time when the MTR gets to Kennedy Town this apartment will be even more convenient. However it is now well served by buses. Kennedy Town itself is village like and a nice area in which to stay. However one thing does need to be borne in mind if you an older person as I am The apartment isn't immediately accessible from the main road. A serious number of steps are involved to get to it. Roger
Very nice owners, had a great chat with them as well.
The place is very big for 2 people, everything is perfect.
Definitely recommend it for people that are young and healthy (because there are 2 long stairs to walk)
