About This Listing
A Japanese-style tatami mat room with Futon located in the middle of the city, convenient to shopping, nightlife, and many of Sendai's sights. A washer is available for laundry, and there is an optional breakfast for 600yen.
Very recommended place to stay. The host showed nothing but hospitality and flexibility, even when we had to "check out" during work hours.
The place was in good shape and had everything we needed.
If you visit Sendai, this place can be recommended.
Didn't get to meet Michael but his girlfriend Junko was more than accommodating.
Very friendly host. Junko was more than happy to have chat and also provide some sightseeing and food recommendations. She also had sightseeing material handy incase I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do.
The room is huge. I travelled alone but it could fit 2-3 quite comfortably. WiFi, shower, kitchen (didn't have time to use) and even towels are provided.
The place is also within walking distance from the main shopping arcade.
Long story short. Great place. Very friendly host. Would stay here again.
Junko was very friendly and helpful, and took time to take me at the station when i arrived and even to fix me an appointment that i needed, even though she had a plane to catch the day i left! Her english is perfect, which was very relaxing as we could really have conversation... Convenient area, simple futon room, and good communication :-)
Junko was a really nice host and she will make sure that you feel at home. We had nice conversation and it was fun talk with her. The apartment is big enough and comfortable to stay for a few days, it's also well located (~20min by foot from Sendai eki) and some other places are also easily reachable if you don't mind walking a bit, in case there's a few bus stops around too. I'd definitely come back again if I pass by Sendai.
We didn't meet Michael as he was in the States but his girlfriend Junko was so lovely! She knew our plans and printed out instructions and timetables for us. Really kind. For a quick stop over in Sendai it fit the job.
Yunko's and Michele's place is great for a Japanese immersion. Junko was absolutely lovely, it was cold outside and she made sure that we had Japanese hot water bottle in our rooms every night and also she has an awesome traditional living room table, where you put your legs to keep them warm. I love it! We did not have lots of time to chat, as we were very busy in a conference, however Junko was always very kind. (Place is clean and 20 minutes walking from the train station)
