About This Listing

Junko was very friendly and helpful, and took time to take me at the station when i arrived and even to fix me an appointment that i needed, even though she had a plane to catch the day i left! Her english is perfect, which was very relaxing as we could really have conversation... Convenient area, simple futon room, and good communication :-)
Junko was a really nice host and she will make sure that you feel at home. We had nice conversation and it was fun talk with her. The apartment is big enough and comfortable to stay for a few days, it's also well located (~20min by foot from Sendai eki) and some other places are also easily reachable if you don't mind walking a bit, in case there's a few bus stops around too. I'd definitely come back again if I pass by Sendai.
We didn't meet Michael as he was in the States but his girlfriend Junko was so lovely! She knew our plans and printed out instructions and timetables for us. Really kind. For a quick stop over in Sendai it fit the job.
Yunko's and Michele's place is great for a Japanese immersion. Junko was absolutely lovely, it was cold outside and she made sure that we had Japanese hot water bottle in our rooms every night and also she has an awesome traditional living room table, where you put your legs to keep them warm. I love it! We did not have lots of time to chat, as we were very busy in a conference, however Junko was always very kind. (Place is clean and 20 minutes walking from the train station)
We stayed at Michaels for 3 days and it was great! We were hosted by his girlfriend Junko. When we first got there everything in our room was setup nicely eight tatami mats laid out and a folder of recommendations and train schedules laid out.
It was fairly easy getting there from Sendai station. Pretty much a straight shot away.
My friend and I stayed for three nights at the apartment. We got a room with two comfortable futons and were allowed to use the kitchen and the laundry machine as well (which we both really needed). Junko was very nice and thoughtful as it was already late at night when she picked us up at Sendai Station and drove us with a car to the apartment. Lucky us. In general, my friend and I enjoyed our stay, except that there was no heater in the room, but in exchange Junko made us two hot water bottles, which we just loved. Thank you for everything :)
