Interaction with Guests
There are 3 rooms rented on AirBnB in this apartment so you will be sharing it with other travelers and explorers like yourself. This is so much fun! We often end up with a diverse group from all over the world coming together for coffee in the morning and drinks around the neighborhood.
Williamsburg is an eclectic and VERY safe neighborhood. You will be right around the corner from vintage boutiques, Michelin restaurants, nightlife, a thriving music scene, food trucks and great transit options, from the water taxi to streets easily traveled by foot.
This building is located 2 blocks from the entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge, so if you are biking (bike rentals 1 block away) or driving you are literally minutes from Manhattan. You will also be 1 stop from Manhattan by either the L train or the JMZ subway lines.
Other Things to Note
Some neighborhood highlights include:
Knitting Factory – the epicenter of the Brooklyn music scene. See the Strokes before they make it big, or on Sunday see Saturday Night Live writers do standup. 5 minute walk.
Brooklyn Bowl – go listen to Questlove of the Roots DJ every Thursday night. 5 minute walk.
Brooklyn Brewery – tour and taste one of America’s finest microbreweries. 5 minute walk.
Be considerate of your neighbors.
Clean up after yourself when using the roof.
Keep the fan on during and after you shower to prevent mildew.
Don't play loud music after 11 PM on Sun-Thur night.
No guns, no fighting, no smoking.
Try and be as cool as you can and everything will be awesome.
The neighborhood was (email hidden)ose to cool bars & restaurants. Very close to the subway when I traveled to Manhattan.
The pictures were accurate and the location is very safe. I never met the host but their directions/ instructions are very accurate and worked fine for coming and going. I would highly recommend this unit.
Our six-day stay on Bedford Ave was more than great. The shared rooms were clean and having a dishwasher was convenient.
We did not meet the hosts because everything worked well. Great stay!
This was the perfect location and situation for my brother and I. We were traveling across the country to experience NYC, and after a flight mishap, we arrived after midnight to find Tania near her phone to help us get in the building.
The room was clean and ready for us. The building was clean and safe. Everyone we talked to in the building was really friendly. The location is awesome, especially if you're going to commute by bike like we did. Literally right next to the Williamsburg bridge, so it's easy to get into Manhattan. There is also an awesome little market across the street for late night (website hidden) makes a killer sandwich.
We spent every day out in the city, and it felt nice to come back to a safe, clean spot. I would definitely stay here again.
Clear descriptive directions
I had a great pleasure staying at Julian and Tania's place.
The room is exactly as described and the pics don't lie; the place is quite clean, comfortable and super-safe. No need to repeat that it is located in the heart of magic Williamsburg... Everything great yep, what more do you need when you're staying in NY?
I didn't meet them and yet everything was pretty easy; you got the codes to access the flat and to your room and can basically live your Life free aha. They nevertheless remain totally available - we had a little problem with the heater in the batroom for example and I didn't even know: they did the necessary during the day while we were out before I even noticed. Then they advised us by text and that was it. Smart!
Thanks for all things,
Would recommend it no doubt!
Alex (Julian's friend) was very responsive and helpful, especially with key box unlock mechanism :)
For the price, I don't think we could've gotten anything better than this place. We had the apartment to ourselves most of the time. We noticed there was another person (or couple) staying in one of the rooms but we never interacted. Everyone kind of comes and goes as they please.
- accessible to subway lines (L and J/M)
- comfy bed and sheets
- light and bright room
- rain shower!
- subway stations are 10+ minute walk to either station
- the lock boxes for the apartment are a little annoying to open (when you're inebriated)
- the shower kind of ran out of hot water (but who needs a long shower when you're in new york?)
Would definitely recommend!

Julian: Jolly, laid back, and open minded (closed to close mindedness). I enjoy thoughts and discussions in the hypothetical.
In a nutshell I prefer "why not" to "why"
On another note, I think cereal is humanity's high water mark, and I mean that in the most complimentary fashion.
Tania: Equal parts actress, intellectual, hippie, and clown. I enjoy spirited discussion, comedy, and carefree dancing.
Also, I am slightly addicted to chocolate.
