About This Listing
Welcome!!! Please read the Description below for everything you need to know about this listing. This is a PRIVATE room that can host 1 or 2 people. Check out my excellent reviews!
Please click “More” below to read the entire description. If you have any questions that aren’t answered here, feel free to message me. This listing is always available, so as long as the dates are free, you’re welcome to reserve the room using Instant Book.
This is a 4 bedroom (2 bathroom) apartment. I live in one of the rooms, and host Airbnb travelers like yourself in the others. From here, you’ll be in one of the best locations in all of NYC, close to the L and JMZ subway stations (each one stop from Manhattan) to get you anywhere in the city.
This is a new building in a PRIME Williamsburg location on the corner of Bedford Ave (the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood) and South 4th Street. This is a private (lockable) room that can comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 people.
Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural center of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs. By staying here, you’ll have the opportunity to both live like a local, and meet travelers from all over the world :)
You'll be within a short walking distance to the Bedford L & the Marcy JMZ subway stations (each one stop to Manhattan), from which the entire city will be easily accessible to you. On a nice day, you can also walk or ride a bike over the Williamsburg bridge into downtown Manhattan. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city (including the airport), I recommend the website & app HopStop.
I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest. The bathroom has a hair dryer and is stocked with basic supplies. You’re welcome to use anything in the kitchen, bathroom, or common areas of the apartment. You may check-in at your convenience, anytime after 3pm on the day of your arrival (even late at night). I cannot accommodate early check-ins, because other guests will be checking out the same day, however, you may drop your luggage off early if you need to.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any additional questions or if there's anything I can help you with.
Interaction with Guests
Other Things to Note
Please be aware that this is a residential building (not a hotel), and you'll be sharing the apartment with other Airbnb guests. Please be respectful of neighbors and other guests by keeping noise at a reasonable volume and cleaning up after yourself. I don't host children under 18 or pets (sorry!). Please don't book if you are at risk of transporting bedbugs (I've never had bedbugs here, and I'd like to keep it that way!). Other than that, enjoy your stay!!!
The apt is pretty much like the picture: a rather new building in the neighborhood, good security systems, and a 10-min walk to subway. The host left enough info to help us plan our trip.
But, the room I stayed has a window right towards where the train passes, so it can be annoying at night hearing the train noise. I guess former guests all kept the window shut, which might have made the room not smell very pleasant. The comforter was torn a little bit. And I had water issues one night when I took a shower.
Overall it's not bad for the price and location.
The apartment is modern and cozy! We didn't meet Ahm directly, but there was no problem. He has instructions everywhere in the house. We dropped our luggage in the house easily. That is super helpful.
Gracias Ahm por todo, la ubicación fue perfecta, el apartamento muy comodo y central para el objetivo que tenia.
It seems like Ahm is renting out the whole place. It works really fine though. Kind of like a youth hostel. We would consider coming back if we are ever going to New York again.
Our room was really clean which is our most important parameter.
First: This is a youth hostel, not a BnB. After arrival we could easily pick up the key of our room as instructed. The room is small and cozy but also dusty and it smells of marihuana. Like...all day long. We met the guy across the hall who lives there permanently and immediately found out he's the cause of the smell. Oh happy days.
There is no lock or even a handle on the door to the balcony and it doesn't really close well which resulted in a lot of noice as the subway and the traffic on the Williamsburg bridge are only 200ft away.
The bathroom was a real gem, if you like dust, cooties, hair and the smell of marihuana.
The neighborhood is really awesome with it's bars and restaurants and almost made up for the loud partying people next to our BnB. We found out that's a BnB too. And the appartment next to that. And the next. And the next. And all the appartments on the 2 floors below too. One big happy Youth hostel...oh ehm Bnb.
I encourage all potential and future guests to ignore this review! It is filled with inaccuracies. For a better idea of what it's like to stay here, please check out my other (extremely positive) reviews. This guest clearly did not read the listing description before booking. There is no smoking allowed in the apt (and certainly not from the host!). We have a professional cleaner come several times per week, and between every reservation. Some people are just extremely negative, and like to make themselves feel better by taking it out on other people. If this sounds like you, please book elsewhere. Otherwise, I look forward to hosting you!!!
