This is a 4 bedroom (2 bathroom) apartment. I live in one of the rooms, and host Airbnb travelers like yourself in the others. From here, you’ll be in one of the best locations in all of NYC, close to the L and JMZ subway stations (each one stop from Manhattan) to get you anywhere in the city.
This is a new building in a PRIME Williamsburg location on the corner of Bedford Ave (the bustling main street that runs through the neighborhood) and South 4th Street. This is a private (lockable) room with a bunk bed that can comfortably accommodate 1-3 people.
Williamsburg is the artistic and cultural center of Brooklyn, with some of the best music and nightlife in NYC. There are TONS of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutique stores, music venues, and everything else you can possibly imagine close by. The area is very safe, and the apartment has never had a problem with rodents, roaches, or bedbugs. By staying here, you’ll have the opportunity to both live like a local, and meet travelers from all over the world :)
You'll be within a short walking distance to the Bedford L & the Marcy JMZ subway stations (each one stop to Manhattan), from which the entire city will be easily accessible to you. On a nice day, you can also walk or ride a bike over the Williamsburg bridge into downtown Manhattan. For subway & bus directions anywhere in the city (including the airport), I recommend the website & app HopStop.
I always provide a clean room, with fresh sheets and towels for every guest. The bathroom has a hair dryer and is stocked with basic supplies. You’re welcome to use anything in the kitchen, bathroom, or common areas of the apartment. You may check-in at your convenience, anytime after 3pm on the day of your arrival (even late at night). I cannot accommodate early check-ins, because other guests will be checking out the same day, however, you may drop your luggage off early if you need to.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any additional questions or if there's anything I can help you with.
Interaction with Guests
Other Things to Note
Please be aware that this is a residential building (not a hotel), and you'll be sharing the apartment with other Airbnb guests. Please be respectful of neighbors and other guests by keeping noise at a reasonable volume and cleaning up after yourself. I don't host children under 18 or pets (sorry!). Please don't book if you are at risk of transporting bedbugs (I've never had bedbugs here, and I'd like to keep it that way!). Other than that, enjoy your stay!!!
Ahm made my first experience using Air BnB a good one. Excellent communication, very helpful guiding us to the place, and a great room in Brooklyn. Highly recommend.
Ahm was great about quickly being in touch when I had questions about the location, getting the key, etc. The accommodations were really nice for the price. the other guests were respectable and quiet. It was a pleasant surprise that there was a balcony off of our room (Comfy Room #2). I'd definitely stay here again for a short trip to NYC!
Just returned from my stay in Brooklyn. The room was quite small, but that was already described, so no suprise there. It was nice with the small terrace, which could be even nicer with a little table and som better chairs and maybe a drying rack.
The bed was a bit to soft for my opinion, but i guess that is a matter of taste. We didnt really use the kitchen that much but it seemed well equipped. There was really no place to sit and in the apartment/kitchen except a small couch. The bathroom was ok.
The whole appartment could have been a bit cleaner. There was quite a bit of dust under the bed and i the windows. The whole building seemed unfinished.
The location was great. just next to Bedford Ave, with tons of places to eat and shop and hanging out. The metro was 5-10 min walk away to explore the whole city. (the railway ran pretty close to the appartment, and there was some noise from that)
Didn't get to meet Ahm in person. But all contact with him including checking in and out went great.
Convenient apartment on a street with some good coffee places!
Ahm approaches the host role with a high degree of professionalism. From the booking on, information is clearly communicated and the process, from directions to securing the key to directions for access to describing the house rules, is all very clear. The place is clean and as pictured. Ahm says tax is best to get there and while I have no problem with anyone who chooses that route, I should point out that for anyone who doesn't care to taxi that getting there by subway is quite easy, too, with two stops around a ten minute walk or less. The way I came in let me off at the Bedford Ave. stop of the L train, three stops and just a couple of minutes from the Union Square station on 14th St. And the walk down Bedford Ave., the main drag of Williamsburg is interesting and pleasant, and you'll get lots of ideas along the way about where to go for drinks or dinner.
