Interaction with Guests
I like to welcome guests at arrival myself, and ibu Lilik our housemaid likes to prepare some hot snacks and drinks to welcome you on arrival. After giving you a tour of the house, we give you the keys and encourage you to be at home. Ibu Lilik returns the next morning to prepare your first breakfast and show you how everything works in the kitchen, and after that she discretely comes in the afternoons (except Sundays) to clean the house. Wayan the gardener comes in early in the morning to sweep the garden and clean the pool. Otherwise you are left alone, as the staff only come in to do their chores at certain times of day. Ibu Lilik is happy to help you shop for groceries on her way in to work and cook you lunch or dinner, but do give her some advance notice.
Located 6km from the heart of Denpasar, 15km from the airport and with easy access to the Bypass Ngurah Rai & Bypass Ida Bagus Mantra connecting the island, we are close but yet not too close to the hustle and bustle of Denpasar. Previously ricefields north of Sanur, our neighbourhood is becoming residential with more holiday homes and residential areas emerging.
The nearest bus stop is 1km away, from where you can catch the Sarbagita bus to Nusa Dua, Kuta, Airport or Bagtubulan terminus (gateway to East & North Bali). We recommend hiring a motorbike or car, or if the heat of the tropics doesn't bother you, hiring bicycles to get around.
We prefer guests to check in during daylight hours so we can show you around the house before giving you the keys. Please communicate well in advance if you are arriving after 7PM (or landing in Bali after 5PM) so we can help make sure you have a smooth arrival.
Born and raised in Bali until graduating from highschool, I pursued tertiary education in New Zealand and Canada. I'm now living in Bali where I manage my grandfather's homestay. This AirBnB account is created mostly to help my mum (born in NZ, has lived in Bali for over 40 years) get guests for her BnB.
