About This Listing
We offer western standard apartment close to heart of the city, the apartment is five(5) minutes away from the market, boutique, pharmacy and parks.
Mercedes is a great host! From the first message she was more than nice and answered fast and we already felt welcomed. First day Mercedes waited us on the airport, but unfortunately our plane could not land that day due to strong wind so we had to go back to Manila and overnight there. I didn't want to bother her to come here the next day when our landing was sucessful, thank God, but she was there again and I really appreciate that, because it's a little bit complicated to get to the city with a lots of luggage if you don't have arranged transportation. The apartment is big, it has bedroom with double bed, living room with big sofa and kitchen, fridge and freezer and reliable wi-fi. Mercedes is always here if you need her and she even brings us lunch one day! It was delicious!
Apartment is ok place to stay, but for us it was a little bit too hot inside and we don't like the A/C and the thing is you don't have windows which you can open to feel the fresh air, especially at night, but if you don't mind to use the air conditioning all the time than is ok, especially if you're on budget. It's a good price and good location.
Mercedes was communicative and so kind. She even drove us to the airport really early in the morning and suggested where we should go. The accommodation is really comfortable and at a high standard. Shower had nice water pressure and temperature and the room had soft large beds and air conditioning. Strongly suggest Mercedes!!
Convienent location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and street vendors. Located off the main drag so it was quiet.
Mercedes (Mercy) went out of her way to make me feel at home and offered her help getting transportation, arranging tours, getting a haircut, and really just anything I asked. George, her husband, is a modern day Samuel Clemens with fascinating stories he will freely share.
My room(s) were spacious and had two seperate sleeping areas. There's a new, ice cold fridge, a/c, m/w and gas cooktop. Hot water in the shower.
All in all a little rustic but worth the modest rate. Don't expect to see an apartment building, it's more like a duplex located next to the owner's house.
The apartment is great and Mercy and George are great hosts. There are two guest apartments here, and I had the smaller one as I was staying here by myself. Plenty of room, AC, tv/cable, internet and a kitchen. It was easy to get a trike outside right at my door and travel to anywhere in town quickly. All the good restaurants are five-ten minutes away. Mercy and George answered any questions I had about the area and went out of their way to help me with making whatever tourist arrangements I needed. They would even bring meals to my apartment, while also giving me my space. There were some issues with electricity and water turning off here and there, but that wasn’t the apartment, it was the whole city, and was just a result of the summer in Puerto Princesa. Overall a great experience. I ended up staying for two months after originally only signing up for one.
Mercy and George were very nice hosts and their home was more than we expected with a living room and kitchen. Pro: close to airport but no plane noise, close to Baywalk, large, good value for budget traveler Con: not many restaurants nearby but can get to them by tricycle for 75 - 100 Pesos
nice owners, good location, not far from the heart of the city, safe and the apartment is perfect for two to four people.
