About This Listing
A nice double room in our friendly airbnb house. The house is comfortable & spacious. On a quiet street with easy parking it's a minute's walk from supermarket and pub. It's one stop on the train into town. Please check the map & read all the info.
Relaxed, easygoing space shared by airbnb guests. The room is a double and would suit an individual or couple. There's a desk and plenty of storage space for clothes and bits. There's also a basement for bulky stuff like bikes.
I have three other rooms in the house I often have airbnb guests staying in - so sometimes busy, sometimes quiet - just the way I like it!
I may not always be there to greet you when you arrive but make yourself at home! Guests have full access to the house and living space. The house is a home and fully equipped to cook, eat and relax.
Interaction with Guests
As the owner of the home, when I'm around, I'm friendly and open and sociable. There's more than likely to be other guests staying in the house you'll bump into and after having well over 100 guests now it's always been a positive experience.
The street is a cul-de-sac in between a church and library so is nice and quiet.
It's not the poshest part of town but the area has a lot of families and schools and parks. There's no restaurants to speak of but there's a new Costa and a newly renovated pub just a minute's walk away. It's local and friendly.
Generally I would describe Bramley as about 25 minutes from the city centre. Bramley is a suburb on the edge of Leeds, but as a Londoner, Leeds is not that big - the house is one minute from Bramley bus station and a 10 minute walk to Bramley train station. The train is one stop to the city and takes under 10 minutes.
Other Things to Note
Officially, I don’t offer breakfast, but help yourselves to tea, coffee and any breakfast stuff you can find. There’s usually cereal and bread and eggs and milk. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to have a quick look round. Anything else you'd like to know, just ask...
There are no rules really, but if you could take your shoes off on carpets that would be great!
Andy was a fantastic host and has a lovely welcoming house to share. The house was well equip and in walking distance from the train station at Bramley. The house is not in leeds city centre itself which means it is quieter than the busy city but means it's a short trip in to visit the sights.
All in all a great stay for business and leisure alike.
Although I couldn't meet Andy as I stayed there from late at night to the early morning while he was in another town, he contacted me often enough to make my stay comfortable. The room was so clean and the kitchen was wonderful with lots of food prepared. Good price and location.
Great place to stay in Leeds. Lovely home with everything you need. Andy makes you feel very welcome. Such a nice relaxing space to come back to. The room is very clean with a comfy bed and fluffy towels.
Also very convenient for getting around with frequent buses to the centre.
I would definitely like to stay again if in the area
Andy is indeed a super host - he's a top communicator and has a nice place in which you'll feel right at home and very welcome indeed. It's easy to get to the city (especially using Uber) and a good base from which to explore Leeds and its surrounds. Thanks!
Andy was a great host! He was friendly on arrival, and really relaxed about guests treating the place like their second home. His home was exactly as shown in the pictures, and was kept spotlessly tidy. I came down to Leeds to work for a few days and it was just perfect to effectively have a home away from home. If I'm ever back in the area I'll certainly be hoping that Andy's place is still available, as I'd be delighted to stay there again.
Thanks so much, Andy! It's been a real pleasure,
I had a lovely stay at Andy's house and I was made to feel very welcome from the the moment I arrived. The house is lovely, with a very comfy bed, great hot shower, nice thick towels and a well equipped kitchen which is free to use. I would definitely stay at Andy's house if I was looking to stay in Leeds again - thanks Andy!

About the Host, Andy
I was born in London but grew up in Harrogate so consider myself a Yorkshireman I guess, but I don't have ferrets or a flat cap.
I started renting a room in my house on airbnb over a year ago and it worked really well. Before I knew it I was renting all three spare rooms almost every night. I've now moved into a new house on the same street with my partner and we rent out our spare rooms in the same way. We've kept on the first house and are continuing to rent the rooms out via airbnb, kind of like a little business. Comfortable beds and towels and a friendly personal touch remain the basis of our airbnb approach.
I work mainly from home and in a creative industry which keeps me far too busy, so I can't always guarantee I'll be around to give you my usual fanfare and fireworks welcome! But I see guests who stay more like short-term housemates - treat the place like it was your own.
I like to think I'm easygoing, sociable and like a drink or two when I get the chance.
