Our luxurious 4 bedroom house has everything we can think of to make a great holiday. We are handy to the marina and just a short buggy ride from everything else on the Island. And the view from our balcony is amazing! Check out our photos to see!
We have one of the best views on the Island. Our house is located close to the marina and is presented in beautiful condition. It does not get any better than this!
Guests staying with us have access to the pool in our development (shared with 11 other houses) as well as all the pools and the beach provided by the Hamilton Island Resort. We provide a 4-person golf buggy to get around the Island and there is also a free bus service with a stop just a few steps up the road.
Interaction with Guests
We live in Melbourne, so you will not meet us. However, we provide a valet to transfer you to and from the airport or ferry terminal on Hamilton Island, who can answer all your questions about the Island. On the Island we have a great cleaning and maintenance team who provide a 24 hour call-out service.
Hamilton Island has its own airport with direct flights to Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. It is centrally located in the Whitsunday Islands, from where you can explore the Great Barrier Reef, visit the amazing Whitehaven Beach and surrounding Islands. You can also sit back and enjoy a cocktail by one of the many pools, enjoy one of the many restaurants and/or dance the night away at the disco.
We provide a 4-person golf buggy, which is the normal mode of transport. There is also a free bus service around the Island, with stops just up the road from our house.
Other Things to Note
Our 4-bedroom house at Casuarina Cove, is completely self-contained and nestled in a quiet location overlooking Dent Island and the Whitsunday Passage. It is just up the hill from the new Yacht Club and the other bustling shops of Front Street next to the Marina. The Resort is just a short buggy ride away over the hill.
Hamilton Island is centrally located in the Whitsundays, a group of idyllic islands not far from the Great Barrier Reef. It is the perfect place to rest by the pool, party all night, or use as a base to explore the Great Barrier Reef, or any of the other islands in the Whitsundays Group. It is also accessible either by direct plane flights from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns (via Jetstar, Qantas or Virgin airlines), or by ferry from the mainland or one of the other Islands (using Cruise Whitsundays). With our included transfer service, you can be opening the door of your own Hamilton Island luxury retreat within just a few minutes of landing at the airport, or arriving on a ferry from the mainland.
The house has two levels, with 4 bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate up to 9 adults, plus we have a fold-out and 2 cots for young children and babies. Three bedrooms have queen-sized beds, while the fourth has 2 single beds and a trundle that opens out to the same height (and comfort) as the single. It can also be pushed together with one of the singles to create a mock double bed. All towels and sheets are supplied, although we do ask that you bring your own beach towels. It is fully self-contained and has everything you need for a perfect holiday.
Each level has its own large balcony providing magnificent views of the sun as it sets between the Islands in the evening. The upstairs living areas and two of the downstairs bedrooms have full length glass walls with sliding doors opening out to the balconies, so that you can take advantage of the wonderful views from in or outside. The other bedrooms also have glass doors leading straight out to the balconies.
The house has everything we can think of, starting with a fully equipped kitchen with coffee pod machine, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher - even a blender for mixing your evening cocktails. The lounge has a 50” plasma TV with DVD player that can also handle your CDs. Each level has its own bathroom, including one with a spa bath. There are a number of full-size mirrors to make sure you look perfect for that special occasion and downstairs you will find the laundry hidden away in a cupboard.
To make sure you can really take advantage of everything the island has to offer, we also provide you with a 4-person Golf Buggy (the standard island transportation) which makes getting around the Island both fun and easy. Alternatively, there is the free bus service almost immediately outside our front door.
At Casuarina Cove, you are only a couple of minutes’ walk from the Marina and the Harbourside shopping district on Front Street. Here you can enjoy a meal, snack or drink from one of the bars, cafes and restaurants; you can arrange your next snorkel/dive trip out to the Great Barrier Reef or Whitehaven Beach, a tandem sky-dive over the resort or take one of the ferries which regularly arrive in the marina, to another Whitsunday island or the mainland.
If you like to shop there are a variety of stores offering the latest resort fashions, beautiful artwork and a range of souvenirs. You can pick up your supplies from the bottle shop, bakery and general store, and post a postcard to those missing out at home from the Post Office.
We have a pool which is shared between the 12 houses of our development, or you can take the buggy, bus or take a casual walk across the Island to the Resort, to which you have complete access. Here you can find Catseye Beach, which is excellent for swimming, snorkelling and sunbaking. You can also choose from a variety of other water activities, including sailing, jetskis and parasailing (there is a charge for watersports). There are four pools to choose from on this side of the island, as well as more bars, restaurants and shops.
If you are feeling a little more energetic, you can take a walk through the National Park which occupies 80% of the island, and discover solitary beaches and other magnificent views. There are a range of other activities such as Quad Bikes, the new Golf Course on Dent Island, Target Sports, Tennis, Squash; the list goes on! You could even charter a yacht, a cruiser, or hire a dinghy to further enjoy this Queensland paradise.
Terms and Conditions for 9 Casuarina Cove, Hamilton Island
Bookings:All bookings are accepted for a set number of adults and children to stay in the property. Any additional Guests (i.e. anyone staying overnight) must be advised to the Owners prior to their arrival, as an additional fee may be payable.
Payments:We ask for a deposit of one third of the money payable within a week of making the booking. The balance is payable three weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellations:Cancellation of your booking can be made at any time. Any monies paid to us are, however, non-refundable UNLESS we receive a replacement booking for the majority of the time of your booking.
Transfers:We arrange for transfers between our house and the airport, ferry terminal, marina or other accommodation on Hamilton Island. The valet service will show you how to use the buggy, provide and collect the keys and also answer any questions about the house or the Island.
The House:Please ensure all garbage is removed from the house and put into the bins provided. These are located behind the stone wall on the left side of the driveway looking up from the house, and are emptied every Monday and Thursday. Hamilton Island has a limited water supply, so it would be appreciated if water was used conservatively. Please also turn off lights and air conditioning when you leave the house. We supply sheets, pillows, blankets and towels (including tea towels and sheets/blankets for the cots), but do not supply beach towels.
The Resort:When staying in our house, you have access to all the facilities that guests of the Resort have: access to the beach and the main pools. If you wish to use the non-motorised watercraft (catamarans and paddle boats) you will be charged a fee. You will also be charged for using the Clown Fish Club (child care centre) and are not eligible for the Children-Eat-Free offer available in some restaurants.
Behaviour:Please consider the amenity and security of your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, particularly between 10:00pm and 8:00am, or when moving in or out of the property. You should be particularly conscious of this when using the balconies. Drunken or anti-social behaviour is unacceptable.
Buggy:All roads on Hamilton Island are subject to the same road rules that apply on Mainland Australia, including drink driving and reckless driving laws, and serious breaches will be reported to the Queensland Police Service. You must hold a current drivers’ license to drive the buggy provided (Learners Permits are not sufficient.) Buggies are not permitted to be driven between 1:00am and 5:30 am. All buggies should be parked in the garage provided or so that neighbours and their vehicles have easy access. No more than 3 vehicles may be parked in the garage or driveway. Any additional vehicles must be parked on the side of the road.
Visitors:You may have up to 10 Visitors (anyone not staying overnight) to the property, but you will be responsible for their behaviour and for them complying with and understanding the Terms and Conditions and the House Rules. Please note that this is not a ‘Party House’ and any gathering, celebration or entertainment must consider the amenity of neighbours.
Emergencies:Smoke detectors are installed in the house, and there is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen. Contact (phone number hidden) for ALL emergencies, including medical emergencies.

Legalities:This booking entitles you to occupy the above property for holiday purposes, and this is not a Residential Tenancy Agreement and is not covered under any Residential Tenancy Legislation. Failure to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions or the House Rules can result in termination of your permission to occupy the property, eviction, loss of rent paid, additional charges, and, in some cases, referral to Hamilton Island Security and/or the Police. Any enforcement action is subject to Australian Consumer Law and other relevant legislation.
All Guests and Visitors must abide by any orders from Management, Hamilton Island Security and/or the Police.
Complaints:If you have any concerns or complaints please let us know as quickly as possible so that they can be dealt with speedily. Please also inform us of any incidents that occur. We have a 3 step dispute resolution procedure, if we are unable to come to an agreement.
