Kathleen's place is unique, with a very personal and friendly atmosphere. Had a great time chatting with her over breakfast in her beautiful kitchen.

Kathleen is a great host, she's really friendly and accommodating. She's gave us some great suggestions about places in and around Dundee. The place was good, we were very comfortable. We met some great people there too.

Kathleen is a friendly host who made me feel very welcome and provided everything I needed, including some breakfast. The room was very quiet and comfortable to sleep in, and conveniently located near the city centre as well as some restaurants and shops. Would stay there again!

Kathleen is welcoming and accommodating. The room was great and met expectations, with a super bed and decent cupboard space. This was my second stay and I would stay there again.

Response from Kathleen:
sorry you were cold that night - sometimes everyones too hot - its quite difficult to predict Scottish weather expecially at the moment - thanks for your feedback - ill have to keep a better eye of the weather reports

My beautiful house dates from 1857 and is 5 minutes walk from the centre of town, in a quiet conservation area. This not a formal bed and breakfast or a cheaper version of a hotel. People who are looking for that will be disappointed. What I offer is informal accommodation in my own home where I encourage people from all cultures to get to know each other. Tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, milk and cereal are left on the table so guests can get up whenever they like and help themselves to breakfast. I am resident in one or other of my two flats (they are in the same building one above the other) and I move between the two flats on a daily basis. Some of the reviews actually suggest this is hostel type accommodation and I'm happy with that description as it suggests the kind of informality I encourage. Many of my guests have stayed in touch with me after leaving and return year on year and those who feel at home in my accommodation spend time chatting and mixing with other guests and often stay in touch with other guests when they leave. I enjoy watching this exchange.

I think the most important thing in life is to never say anything to another person that could not stand as the very last thing you ever said to that person and that friendship is the most important thing in life.
