Interaction with Guests
I live upstairs in the main house so I am usually available if needed.
I love the diversity of my neighborhood . Our neighborhood is a very welcoming community. I also like the freedom afforded by its safeness. It's accessibility to all forms of public transportation is a special plus!
The accessibility to public transportation is one of the neighborhood's strengths. You can get to the #1, A, B, C and D subways within 2 to 3 blocks as well as to the #4, 5 and 19 buses. There is also free and paid parking for travel by car.
Other Things to Note
There are a lot of wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood as well as a large state park, Riverbank that has lots of activities. My favorite is the path that runs along the Hudson River for walking , running and riding bikes.

Emma made my family feel very welcome. We were able to check in early and sleep a bit after a red-eye journey. The accommodation description is very accurate. There was space for five of us- all comfortable and cosy. A nice, peaceful place to come back to after busy days. Emma also left us some fruit and milk and coffee plus tea to start off with. "Sugar Hill Rest Stop" is a short walk to the Number 1 subway at 145 street, groceries, a gym, a couple of great restaurants, churches, colleges and Riverside Park. Nestled in a row of brownstones- this airbnb was the hub of our NY holiday.
With a 12 month old baby on board and my hubby's New York marathon prep...Emma's place was a saviour! The best part, its even better than the pics and Emma's a sweetheart! Extremely kind and helpful, she went out of her way to make us comfortable. The apartment is fantastically located in the cultural hub of the city with everything at a walking distance. Its superbly equipped with every resource one needs to make a stay homely! Now we know we have a home away in New York! Will see you soon Emma !!!! :)
Emma was very friendly and the apartment was great and clean. We fit 4 adults comfortably. It is located very close to the subway, some parks, and grocery stores/restaurants. Only a 20 min train ride to Central Park. Emma also added some personal touches like providing some basic breakfast foods and gave advice on using the metro system. The kitchen was very clean and fully stocked with utensils and appliances.
This was my first time using airbnb. Emma and her hospitality ensured I will be using it again.

The house is great, very clean, big, great kitchen with lots of useful utilities. Very close to subway, number 1 line, gets you everywhere.
Very safe neighborhood, didn't feel uncomfortable even at late night...
Wouldn't think twice, next time in NYC I'm coming again...
Emma's apartment is really great, clean and large (we were 6). The location is ideal, only 2 minutes from the metro. Emma is very friendly, accomodating, and gives us great advices. We highly recommend this apartment for a pleasant stay in New York.
