I'm delighted to share King's Candle B&B, an addition to my organic farm and holistic healing practice just outside of Belwood. Just 12 minutes' drive to Fergus this is a great spot to stay for the Scottish Festival and Elora's Riverfest concerts, and outdoor adventures.
The guest suite has private entrance, bathroom, kitchenette. The room is comfortable and bright but it may be the natural setting of trees, ponds and wildlife that make you want to stay another day. Come, be rejuvenated!

The space
The main guest suite at King's Candle has its' own private entrance so you can come and go without having to go through the main part of house. The kitchenette has a small sink, microwave, fridge and dishes so you can bring food to warm up for meals here. The bathroom is bright and modern. The queen bed offers good comfort.
For breakfasts: A few simple cold breakfast snacks will be provided for the first morning. Fresh coffee can be brewed by you in the provided French press. Teas will also be provided . Sit out on the little deck and enjoy the morning. The little restaurant in nearby Belwood offers great full hot breakfast with coffee, taxes in for under $10. Take out is available too. It's just across the bridge from the Elora-Cataract Trailway, just minutes from King's Candle.

Guest access
Outside there is an acre or two of trees, pond and trails where one can walk or sit to enjoy the sunset or sunrise. The pond hosts wildlife that will keep the nature appreciator well entertained. A stone ruin, partly restored, can be used as a place for quiet meditation or reading when the sun is not too high.
Guests must be walked through by host prior to accessing stone ruin area on their own. The farm buildings are not accessible to the guests.
Winter can be a fun time for kick-sledding or cross country skiing. Kick sleds can be rented here at the farm. Bring your ski's if there is snow.
Smoking is permitted in certain areas but all cigarette butts must be placed in container provided. Butts on the ground can cause poisoning to habitat and farm animals so we ask you to please be respectful of this request.

I am a naturalist at heart and enjoy sharing the bits of wisdom I have gained living here on my land. I have a thing for trees so you might catch me talking to them or just gazing up into their branches. I work from home offering holistic healing modalities . Motorcycling through the beautiful winding roads of Ontario is another way I like to spend time. I'm always happy to share a tour. Fall is wonderful for that. As a host I like to get a feel for if people want to spend time with me or just do their own thing so I can help make their stay what they are wanting. Campfires and walks on the trails here are things I like to share too. I'm pretty casual but like to know ahead what I will be doing so I can prepare and allow time too .
