The Space

3,000 feet above Kingston, Tree Tops Cottage sits on a working coffee farm and overlooks Jamaica's capital and the surrounding Blue Mountains.

Tree Tops is a family-owned guest cottage that easily sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The house belongs to an artist and touches of island elegance are everywhere.

Wind chimes on the veranda invite you to the view. This place is no stranger to relaxation. Tomorrow may bring a hike up into the hills to a fresh water spring, a doctor-bird, or an elusive mongoose. Or it may bring more of the same; a book in your new favorite chair, a good cup of coffee, and peace. That wouldn't be too bad now, would it?

EITS Café and Restaurant is nearby for those who would like to eat out and mingle with other travelers from all corners of the world.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to most of the property and a guided tour of the coffee farm can be arranged.

Interaction with Guests

Upon our arrival you will be greeted by Hugo who lives below the property.
He has worked with the family and on the coffee farm for nearly thirty years.

The Neighborhood

Tree Tops is located in Middleton - a community nestled in the Blue Mountains below the Newcastle Army Base. Settlement is the main community in the valley below the house. You can walk on the main road. Be weary of speeding motorbikes and water trucks. Walk on the left side when going up and on the right when coming down.

EITS Cafe, owned and operated by niece Robyn Fox is located of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps as EITS Cafe, B1, Jamaica, and is only a few corners below the property. Great stories by Michael Fox and Ox will keep you laughing over fine mountain cuisine with a spectacular view of the valley below.

You can hike to the water factory, the army base, to Hollywell Camp and beyond into Portland parish to Catherine's Peak and Blue Mountain Peak. Some of these trails can be tackled without a guide but others will need a knowledgable local to lead the trek.

Tree Tops is outside of the hustle and bustle of the country's capital but is not completely isolated from activity. Bubble's Shop is below the property where Mr. Reid sells snacks, drinks and occasionally cooks Jerk Chicken in a Cuban drum.
