  • Consistently great - stayed there for the 2nd time (since last year was a blast)
Place is clean, warm, beautiful and 5mn from stratton ski resort
We had many pleasant nights, and would go back for sure!

  • Jason's Cottage was a fantastic getaway. Perfect for our Tough Mudder weekend. The place had everything we needed for a group. Crowd favorites include the fire pit out back, the hammock and the retro record collection. We would definitely head back there. Jason as a host was very helpful and quick with responses. Thanks Jason!

  • Charming and very authentic cabin in the woods with a wood burning stove. Great place to reconnect with nature!

    April 2013
  • The cottage was perfect for a ski weekend at Stratton. If your objective is to ski as much as possible and crash in the cottage, this is your spot.

The wood burning stove made the place toasty warm, but heating otherwise was a bit of a challenge.

The place is rustic, you might see a mouse, but such is a cabin in the woods.

    March 2013
  • We spent five days at the house, and it was the perfect base in which to begin and end everyday. The mornings were marked by tons of pretty light pouring through the curtain-less windows, and the cabin's warm features - from the wood-burning stove to the rustic decor - made the return trip home from the slopes a pleasurable one.
We were incredibly pleased with all of the amenities, from a fully stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook big meals every night, to the high-powered, hot shower, to the extra blankets in every room.
If you're looking for an authentic, isolated experience in the woods, in a location very close to Stratton, and unbeatable nightly rate, then this is the cottage for you.

  • Great place. Clean, remote but still very close to Stratton Mountain. Would definitely rent again.

    February 2013
  • Had a great stay at Jason's Ski Cottage. I'd even say we ended up enjoying the cottage more than the slopes as they were extremely icy. The warm fireplace and showers were awesome. Only caveat is internet's a bit flaky as the modem/router wasn't in the cottage.

    February 2013
  • We were very comfortable, cozy, and happy at Jason's cabin....
We would definitely go back and had a great time! there!!

Environmental Engineer
Hey, I'm Jason! I'm an environmental engineer who likes to build houses. I live in New York City, but I've always loved Vermont, especially the Green Mountains. I bought this land ten years ago, and built the cottage and the cabin five years later. In my daily work as an engineer in Manhattan, I focus in green building and indoor air quality. On the side, I work with Engineers Without Borders to assist rural communities in the developing world gain access to clean water and sanitation. I love spending my free time in VT, especially during maple sugarin' season.
