Great wood cabin and close to Stratton. Recommend a 4 wheel drive car if winter conditions are heavy.
Simple. Rustic. Perfect. The cabin's just the right place to be after a long day at Stratton. The wood stove is cozy and relaxing and the turntable is so cool. We had a great weekend.
Me and 5 of my friends stayed at the cabin and skied the following day at Mt. Snow. We had an absolute blast! The cabin slept the 6 of us very comfortably. The cabin was very charming and accurate to the description. Some of our favorite features including the lighted walkway from the driveway, the amazing record collection which we loved listening to, the guitar in the master bedroom we also used for a jam session, the wood burning stove kept us cozy and warm. I would highly recommend staying here again. Jason's hand written directions were also very helpful.
Everything was accurately described and cottage was a perfect spot for a ski weekend at Stratton Mountain. My brother, niece and I had a great time.
Perfect cabin for 3 couples, very close to Stratton's Sunbowl lodge. Great record collection for a weekend in the woods. Everything was exactly as Jason advertised, I will be staying here again.
Overall, we had a good stay at Jason's place. The cottage was very close to Stratton where we were skiing and fit our group of six quite comfortably. There was an issue with the heat on the first night that we couldn't fix ourselves, but the caretaker came the next day and was very helpful in resolving the problem. The response to our problem could have been faster, but it was resolved eventually.
We had a wonderful time once we were able to locate the cottage. Purely our issue. We trusted GPS technology instead of printing out itinerary. We got close but not close enough in the dark. Itinerary directions make it easy. Cabin had everything we needed especially enough wood to keep warm. Loved having to keep it stoked but bring shorts for when it is up and cranking. Hope you like piece and quiet with the added benefit of only being 3 miles from sun bowl. Pack light, you do need to bring your stuff up some steps to get to the cabin. Very cool lighted walkway. I would recommend and return.

Hi, I'm Jason. I work as an environmental engineer and I also run a social business (called Toilets for People) that works for charity organizations in the developing world where there is a lack of proper sanitation. We make, and teach people how to make, composting toilets using local materials (so I travel a lot). Most of the time, I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn but I also spend a good amount of time (especially during maple sugarin' season!) in Jamaica, Vermont (near Stratton) where I rent out two other vacation houses that are also listed on Airbnb.
