This cabin was just as described and BETTER! We actually got to meet Jason in person, which was a nice surprise. It has been a little over a week since we were staying at this awesome spot in the VT woods and I miss this place. The cabin was set up so wonderfully and we didn't need or want anything that wasn't there. We felt right at home and it seems to me that that is just what Jason wants. He was a great host without actually being there. Thank you and we do hope to return! My girlfriends and I were there for the Wanderlust festival and it was such a dream to come back to this cozy place after doing yoga all day. I highly recommend this listing!
Jason's cabin is truly special. It's in a gorgeous location with mountain views. The cabin itself is just as described: very cosy and rustic. It was just what we were looking for in a peaceful getaway.
We were unfortunate to have noisy neighbors in the other cabin on the property. The two cabins share a backyard, so if neighbors choose to make a lot of noise, it can be quite disruptive. Jason was very responsive and apologetic when we complained about the noise and I believe did his best to resolve the issue. This doesn't seem to be a typical problem: most of Jason's guests are looking for a peaceful retreat, not a party.
I would definitely go back based on the beauty of the location and the nicely appointed cabin. Next time I'd get some friends to come and rent the place next door!
Great little cabin that was very close to MT Snow for Tough Mudder. There was a ton of space that could comfortably sleep 6 (although it was just 4 of us there was an extra bed as well as a full size futon). Like the Tardis, it's bigger on the inside.
We had a blast hanging out there with the fireplace and listening to the stellar library of records he has available. Jason was also incredibly responsive to random questions I had. I would definitely recommend staying. No washer or dryer, but that wasn't an issue for a short stay.
It's hidden away so the directions Jason provided are VERY helpful. Don't trust the GPS.
Thank you Jason!
We stayed one night at the cottage and had a fantastic time. The location is beautiful and has plenty of space. Finding a collection of old LPs was such a great bonus. Together with the open fire and the games that were in the cottage, we had an amazing evening. Would definitely recommend this place to all who are looking for a nice place in the outdoors.
Great wood cabin and close to Stratton. Recommend a 4 wheel drive car if winter conditions are heavy.
Simple. Rustic. Perfect. The cabin's just the right place to be after a long day at Stratton. The wood stove is cozy and relaxing and the turntable is so cool. We had a great weekend.
Me and 5 of my friends stayed at the cabin and skied the following day at Mt. Snow. We had an absolute blast! The cabin slept the 6 of us very comfortably. The cabin was very charming and accurate to the description. Some of our favorite features including the lighted walkway from the driveway, the amazing record collection which we loved listening to, the guitar in the master bedroom we also used for a jam session, the wood burning stove kept us cozy and warm. I would highly recommend staying here again. Jason's hand written directions were also very helpful.

About the Host, Jason
Hi, I'm Jason. I work as an environmental engineer and I also run a social business (called Toilets for People) that works for charity organizations in the developing world where there is a lack of proper sanitation. We make, and teach people how to make, composting toilets using local materials (so I travel a lot). Most of the time, I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn but I also spend a good amount of time (especially during maple sugarin' season!) in Jamaica, Vermont (near Stratton) where I rent out two other vacation houses that are also listed on Airbnb.
