The Log Cabin #1 is a unique accommodation that comfortably sleeps 4 and is perfect for a small family or couple’s getaway. It includes a kitchenette, full bathroom, heating and air conditioning, and a covered porch. The Log Cabin #1 is located on the grounds of the Silverlaken Estate, which is located on the western shore of Silver Lake. The Silverlaken Estate provides a number of common space shared amenities including: camp fire, BBQ grill, kayaks, and docks.

The space
The Log Cabin #1 is located just to the North of The Lodge and is just a short walk to the lake, camp fire pit and docks.

Five things to note before you book:

1. Bedding and Linens (New for 2020 Season).
We provide bedding and linens that are cleaned by a professional laundry service before each guest’s stay.

2. Cows
Wyoming county is known for dairy farming. Farms spread manure on nearby fields a few times per year. Depending on the wind direction and season, farm freshness may be noticed at Silverlaken on occasion.

3. Well water
The Silverlaken Estate is serviced by two wells which feed an 8000 USD water softening system with UV lights. Despite over-engineering the water system, because the pipes are brand new and because the water is from a well, the water may still have a slight scent to it. If you have grown up on city water, the country water will be a bit different. The water quality has passed heath inspection with flying colors and is certainly safe. But if you are sensitive to this issue, you may want to bring bottled water for drinking and cooking.

4. Heating & Cooling
Some of the rental units have heating and cooling. Others do not. Please check the listings for details. The estate enjoys a breeze off the lake and air conditioning is generally not needed, even in mid-summer. We have a few mobile air conditioning units on standby in the event there is a heatwave during your stay. Please let us know in advance if you wish to have one as they are first come/ first serve.

5. Bring a flashlight.
We intentionally limit lighting between the buildings so that our guests may enjoy a better view of the night sky.

If you like campfires, the sound of crickets & falling asleep by 10pm,
If you like getting up early, going offline and getting outdoors,
Then you will love The Silverlaken Estate!

For the comfort of our guests, we are serious about tranquility. Quiet hours are in effect from 9 P.M. to 9 A.M.

Bring a flashlight as we intentionally limit lighting between the buildings so that our guests may enjoy a better view of the night sky.

Sheets, blankets, and pillows are provided for guests along with towels and basic toiletries.
