Interaction with Guests
I like to greet my guests upon arrival and answer any questions they may have. I live only a couple of blocks away if anything should arise that needs my attention.
Casa Amarilla sits on the western edge of West University neighborhood, oldest established neighborhood association in Arizona- very close to everything. Easy access to all parts of the city, most venues within walking distance. Walk, ride or bike to Downtown, U of A, 4th ave. shopping district, great restaurants, cafes, museums, entertainment.
Great public transportation, modern streetcar is running!. Parking next to the front gate. easy access to Interstate 10, within 15-20 minutes to the airport.
No smoking allowed inside, outdoors only. No pets. Hardwood floors. Prefer no shoes inside, except soft soles or slippers, keeps the floors in good shape!
The apartment was very clean and spacious, and a short walk to downtown. Debra was a great host!
Wow! What a wonderful 4 night stay. Debra was kind and we met just as arranged; the accommodation were pleasantly just as pictured and described. When in Tucson location and value was key since my visit was centered around my son's graduation from the University of Arizona; what convenient access to the campus and local resources (dining, groceries, night-life, etc.)
Full kitchen, iron and ironing board, lots of towels and hot water for shower. Every time I thought "oh, man I don't have ... oh, there it is!"
The quaint fenced yard with subtle natural shading was a bonus! I am a cycling enthusiasm so brought a bicycle on my travels. Debra was happy to accommodate and gladly invited me to secure my scoot at a convenient inside location for security.
I will be happy to return as a future guest of Debra's. Enjoy!
Loved staying at the Casa! Debra was flexible with my arrival time and very friendly. The house was very well equipped. I really enjoyed my stay!
Debra responded immediately to all of my communications, from the initial inquiry through the length of our stay in her lovely studio. Though we never got to meet her, we certainly feel welcomed.
We enjoyed the gorgeous courtyard and homey decor inside. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and perfect for our needs.
WIFI was fast and I was able to hold a coaching session over Skype with no interruptions.
The location couldn't have been better for our pedestrian exploration of Tucson. We felt safe and the parking was super easy. It felt like coming home every day!
Next time, we would choose the adjoining east studio for less railroad/road noise and for the bathroom (the west studio we stayed in has a wet room, which was gorgeous, but a bit awkward to share with my husband.)
Highly recommend for folks who want a taste of living in Tuscon.
Debra was very communicative prior to my arrival, and made it easy to find the location and get situated. Casa Amarilla was clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed for my solo four night stay in Tucson. Location is very convenient to the restaurants and shops on 4th Ave. Thanks Debra!
This is our second stay with Deborah which was again a pleasure to work with her on our stay. Communication was great and her place was very clean and comfortable. Thanks for another great stay!
We had a great time in Tucson. I had to work for 3 days and the internet connection was reliable. Debra was reliable and friendly and we had access as soon as we arrived. This is a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks walking to many coffee shops and restaurants. The west apt. is small but very functional and comfortable.

About the Host, Debra
Hi, I have lived in Tucson since 1987 in West University neighborhood. It is a very vibrant place, lots of fun and exciting things to do all within walking distance. Besides hosting new and interesting people, I am a blown glass artist, co-own a restaurant called Mother Hubbard's-great food!, and a Mom.
I love to swim, practice yoga, river rafting, go for long walks or hikes, and work on new glass pieces when I can. Life is full and fun, especially with my daughter who loves the performing arts.
Being a host has allowed me to meet lots of wonderful people, some of them becoming good friends. I am always happy to share my knowledge of Tucson, my favorite places and anything else that will enhance my guest stay in the ol'Pueblo...
